I bought the HP ENVY 750-624 to replace the computer in my home office. I wanted something fast and quiet because I listen to music and don’t want fan noise in the background. I chose this computer because it uses the graphics that are integrated into the CPU chip. I did not want a discrete graphics card with fans producing extra noise. Most of the speedy computers available are gaming rigs and they are noisy. The HP ENVY is fairly quiet but the case fan makes noise. I am sitting four feet away and can hear the computer humming. I like the computer so I may replace the fan with a quieter fan. I also run a music server on the computer so that I can stream high resolution music (FLAC files) around my house. Here the HP ENVY really shines. My server is much more responsive than on my old computer. I think this is due to the Optane solid state memory which caches frequently used files. The server is always running so its code is surely stored in the fast solid state Optane memory. My WiFi speed has doubled from 40 Mbps to 84 Mbps due to the use of the 5GHz band. By the way the antenna for WiFi and BT is cleverly hidden in the top of the case, outside the shielding of the metal case. I plan to use Bluetooth to listen to my headphones, but so far there is no sound even though they are paired and connected. Browsing is super fast. I keep about 20 tabs open in Chrome and it still surprises me to click on something and have it just be there, no waiting. The integrated graphic are fine for my needs. The HP plays high resolution videos with ease. I use a 65” TV as a monitor and with an HDMI connection the HP can display a ridiculous resolution of 4096 x2160. The case is very attractive and the CD player is hidden behind a thin vertical door. The CD player is a laptop style spindle. It feels flimsy but I guess if they don’t break on laptops mine won’t break here. Many people have complained about the rear facing USB ports on the top of the case. I plug my charging cables in once and leave them plugged in so this was only an issue once for me. Also, one of my cables is a USB extension cable so I can easily plug anything into that. The top of the case has a convenient indented tray in which you can lay your devices while they are charging. The USB speed is excellent – even my USB 2 devices seem a bit peppier. I love having the USB C port since I have headphones that use USB C. People have also complained about the wireless keyboard and mouse. I like them! I’m happy to have a lighter weight keyboard to lift into my lap. The mouse is sleek and shiny. The keyboard does not have convenient edges by which to pick it up so I just spread my hand wide and grab it by the top and bottom edge – it’s that small. Setup was straightforward but you need a Microsoft account. Given that, it is curious that I can’t download anything from the MS store. I need to call MS or HP about that and I’m not looking forward to that call. Boot time is excellent, about 10 seconds. Everything about this system is quick. I installed a hard disk using the one available SATA header and one available SATA power connector. I have never seen a computer with so few SATA headers. I hope HP is enjoying the five cents they saved on that. There are no screws to hold the hard disks. The drive bay is angled and gravity holds them in. Overall I think it is a great computer.

Worked right out of the box. Everything I needed was there just add a monitor and you are all set.

I recommend this computer. Great speed. Easy to install programs and I impressed with Windows 10.

I bought two of these last year for my business. I am very pleased with it and use two monitors for stock trading. This has been a very flexible computer and I am very pleased with it. When I first went to Best Buy they suggested a new Dell model. When I took it out of the box I realized that the Dell couldn't handle two monitors. I returned it and bought this one and am very happy with it.

I like everything about this computer, faster more memory, windows 10 its great!

I am a IT consultant. This PC is priced well and has the specs to perform well.

Looking for a computer for everyday needs. Very fast for non gaming tasks.

Love our PC but not crazy about Windows 10. Tower works well
