I purchased this as an updated computer for my home based business. It is quick and very quiet. The 256GB solid state Drive C is more than enough room to install the programs that I run, using the 2 TB hard drive D for the data files. The only small setup issue was that there is only one hdmi connection on the graphics card but there are two Video Display ports. Since I run two monitors, hooked my primary one to the hdmi and got an Display port to hdmi adapter to connect the second monitor

Bought a few different 8th gen i7 brands such as Lenovo, Dell, HP. For the price buy the HP Envy model with the GTX 1060 and SSD. Never choose a Intel Octane because it’s a marketing decoy. Go with a true SSD+hard drive configuration. The hp is well designed compared to the Dell or Lenovo. Inside the Lenovo is a rat nest of cables and no cable management. Hp has their act together in both the outside and inside. I7 intel 8th gen speaks for itself. dell has the i7 and close in performance to hp. Dell is a nightmare to get into upgrading. The inside of the Dell so congested. The Dell inside swings out like unfolding a paper airplane and you deal with tons of screws. You can’t beat the hp price for value vs the other brands for the same i7 six core.

My only complaints center around accessories and usability. The keyboard is very small and inadequate. Glad I kept my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. The DVD/CD reader/writer is a step down from my 11-year-old PC. Difficult to open/close (could they make the button any smaller?) and no motor to open/close -- just a spring. Also, its vertical placement makes it difficult to get a DVD/CD loaded. The on/off switch for the PC is difficult to see and depress. Never sure I've hit it until I see the light come on. Very difficult to read port identifiers (USB2, USB3, and USB3.1). Needed a flashlight and magnifying glass to read them and then had to download a document that explained the labels. Oddly, no usage book specific to this PC seems to be available from HP. Still recommending it for the storage (256gb SSD, 2 TB HD), memory (16gb) and CPU (Intel Core I7 8th generation).

This HP is priced fairly, super fast, has loads of memory, and is the quietest computer I've owned. Although it's more computer than I really need, I got it to set up a VR system for when the grandkids visit.

We looked long and hard for a decent computer that can run some games for me and programs like AutoCAD for my wife. We found it with this machine. Having USB and SD card ports in the front is extremely convenient. This computer is extremely quiet. We have it sitting on the desk next to the monitor and can barely hear it.

Wonderful to have this new desktop. It is so fast, easy to use, and has enough storage for everything we want to do. We did our research online and waited for this to be available. Glad we did.

Very fast and very quiet. I researched this computer thoroughly and it has really performed as expected. Unit is compact & stylish, fits on my desktop just right. Matched this with a 27" HP flat screen. Windows 10 is nice. Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this desktop about a month ago and so far, so good. The speed it boots up is unbelievable! Has loads of storage, so I don't panic when downloading large files. This is by far the fastest computer I have ever owned. I would recommend it!

I was looking for a desktop that could run drafting programs, like AutoCAD, and for gaming. I was shocked at how quiet it is and how fast it runs. Best Buy price matched based on HP.com's price saving me over $300.

This computer was pretty easy to setup except for when I tried putting office 2016 pro on it. For some reason when it did its update of windows it prevented the installation of office 2016 pro. I had to do a rollback and install office and then do the windows update. I don't blame HP, I blame Microsoft because they have issues all the time. In fact, because of the issues that im having with Microsoft Windows, I'm actually considering switching to Apple products even though I've been an avid Microsoft supporter for decades.

Really enjoy this computer, been using it for 2 years now, with no problems. Using it with Pinnacle studio for viseo editing.

The extra storage is great for a very large number of photos. The speed of the processor is GREAT...

fast, quiet reliable. Was very easy to set up. transfer data and have not had any problems in the first month.

Seems to work fine. Still kicking the tires. Everything working fine so far, other than having to re-load programs from laptop. All network devices needed to be updated.

I have no complaints. It makes no noise at all. Turns on very fast. I'm glad I made the purchase. I am a very happy customer:)

This PC performs very well. I am using it to edit and produce home videos and it is doing a great job. Much quicker at producing them.

After reading Consumer Reports & other publications I bought this unit. It is everything expected & more. Quick start up & tons of storage.

I have been using hp PCs for over 20 years and this unit is best one and I am very happy with it and definitely I will recommend to any one without any doubt in my mind.
