All around solid computer for price

It’s nice that this has the touchscreen option, nice large screen, and comes with Windows 10. Seems to have a decent processor and memory for what we need it to do. Browse the web, homework, etc. It seems to be a good value for what it offers. There is a downside unfortunately. I would have given 5 stars but initially it took FOREVER to power up and load anything. I did some research and realized that the computer came loaded with so many unnecessary apps and that was what was slowing it down. Completely reinstalled windows and it got rid of the extra apps (Minecraft, desktop wizard, candy saga. Really?!?). It’s been working so much better ever since. I wish HP would have provided that tip with the setup instructions. I was very close to returning it.

I absolutely love this laptop, I am a fan of the larger screens and the fact that this laptop can turn into a tablet is perfect for every subject in school. The facial recognition to log on is very genius it even lets you do multiple in case you are wearing make-up or fixed your hair different and it can't recognise you! If that doesn't work of course it lets you use a PIN number, very fancy.

My HP - Envy x360 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - HP Finish In Dark Ash Silver, has not given me too many issues yet but I have had problems with Microsoft Word and Excel loading. It is durable, and a nice looking HP product with great touchscreen capabilities, I did not buy the pen but I will get one to prevent fingerprints all over my screen. I recommend purchasing some type of accident protection either at best buy or HP, for I think it will come in handy since we love to drink and eat around our computers.

Being in the IT field, this laptop is great. Bought for my fiancé, she loved it but complained it was freezing. Bought a 500gb Samsung SSD and installed the OS fresh without the HP junk ware and this thing screams. No laptop I’ve seen or worked with touches this for the price.

Great 2in1 laptop. Easy to setup, not much bloatware to remove, but comes with apps. you can install if you want them. Seems responsive when loading apps. and using them. Wireless connectivity is as fast as my router will allow. Keyboard and touchpad are responsive with no lags. Touch screen is responsive, and has nice clarity. I recommend this PC.

    The Envy in My House

I have shied away from HP laptops for years, never having a colleague have a good experience with them. But after looking heavily at this one, I bit the bullet & bought it. So far, I'm highly impressed. The 2-in-1 is incredibly thin, which also makes it very lightweight as compared to the Dell laptops I've used for years. I almost don't know it's in my backpack based on its light weight (<5 pounds). The screen is bright & brilliant with good color. Like any laptop, the screen does have some flex at the hinges, so the screen tends to move a bit whenever you wiggle the laptop or use it as a touch screen. The audio quality is probably one of the best features. The laptop features a Bang & Olufsen sound bar that runs the width of the laptop. Sound is crystal clear, bass could be a little better but overall the sound quality outperforms most over laptops I've used. The device is Windows Ink compatible, but frustratingly it does not come with a Windows Ink stylus, requiring you to purchase a $60 Wacom Bamboo or other active stylus to leverage these features. While many other laptops come with one, I found it disappointing to have to spend another chunk of money on a device to get full use out of the laptop. Battery life is decent, but isn't the best, then again I'm spoiled to large batteries on heavy Dell work laptops. HP boats just under 12 hours of use, I'm seeing a little under 10 under standard use. All 3 USB ports (2 standard USB and 1 USB-C) will continue to charge any device connected to it when the laptop goes into Sleep mode, which is helpful if you're trying to charge you phone or watch. The 1 USB-C gives you all the new capabilities of USB-C, for example multiple monitor support or supporting a hub that can power multiple devices. It also sports a standard HDMI port if you don't want to have to use adapters with USB-C. The Windows 10 installed on it supports the facial recognition to log on, but I find that when booting the laptop Windows seems to start before the camera has enabled, so you get an error that "The camera cannot be started, use your PIN". Once the laptop is up & running, coming out of a lock screen with your face is quick and simple. It's just that initial boot that seems to be problematic. I do like the higher amount of RAM (8 GB) and an actual internal hard drive (1 TB) versus most of the newer 2-in-1's that have a smaller SSD drive around 128 or 256GB. Yes, I store everything in the cloud, but I do need space to install Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, so don't short me on drive space. If they would include a stylus and have a slightly larger battery this would have gotten 5 stars. As it stands, even with those down sides, this is a nice laptop for home or light business use.

Solid Robust Presentation 2 in 1

I bought this on sale and even cheaper as it was an "open box" but certified perfect. I had the Geek Squad install a 256gb m.2 ssd drive. Justin my sales person at the Arroyo crossing store helped me work out what I needed and put together the upgrades that would best suit me. I went in on a Wed night and picked up my finished laptop the next afternoon. This is why I am back to Best Buy. There is almost too much information online. Sometimes you just need a pro to help work out what you want. And there is just too much room for error buying expensive electronics online/via mail. I couldn't be more impressed with this 2 in 1's performance. I am an MCTS- DBA and do some site dev and graphics on the side. So far the Envy has exceeded all my expectations. For real world users this AMD configuration is more than robust and the HP build feels very solid. If you do any presentations definitely look into adding the m.2 SSD for the 5-8 second boot. If you get the model with the platter drive you can add the SSD to the pci slot while keeping the existing TB drive for added storage.

Bought this for my son going to college. He will be set for the next four years no matter what major he is going to pick. It is light and you can draw on it in tablet mode with the right software. It is good for more than normal gaming so it will be ready for any school work.

This is a great laptop. I have software that needs a good processor to access and work with many e-resources as well as video creating software. It doesn't slow down. I've had it for 2 months and it has not hicupped. Thanks HP.

Put a 250GB WD M.2 SSD in it and it runs amazingly. The only issues is when having chrome, netbeans it get's moderately loud. When using a VM or android studio it spins up to full fan speed.
