My main laptop had been an Asus Q551. Worst laptop I've ever owned. I suffered with it for three years and the lcd panel crapped out. I researched and chose this one. I also looked at a couple of Dells, a Lenovo, and a more expensive HP Spectre. Display - a tiny bit dark but with a Gamma adjustment it's perfectly fine for everything you'd expect from a sub $1,000 machine. The Full HD resolution serves my needs and didn't feel the need for a 4k display. Keyboard - spacing I'm familar with. Decent key travel and not too mushy or too clicky. BONUS for me is the numeric pad. I use it all the time and the Dells and Lenovos didn't have it. Trackpad - GREAT. Has enough texture so as not to be slick. It uses the Synaptics trackpad driver and has every option and adjustment you could ever need. My old Asus had a terrible trackpad that wouldn't recognize taps about half the time and an even worse proprietary drive Asus called "Smart Gesture" - a hobbled piece of garbage. Drive - I LOVE the solid-state drive. Boot time is a fifth of the time compared to a regular hard drive. I wish it was bigger than 256Gb but I've loaded about everything I need to have loaded and am at only ~60% capacity. Case - Silver aluminum with enough texture to hide fingerprints and is grippy enough to make it hard to slip out of your hands. Ports - all the standard ports including a USB-C and HDMI. This model doesn't have an RJ-45 for connecting directly to a modem via ethernet cable, but if that's important you can use the USB-C and an adapter to do that. As with pretty much all 15" laptops, there's no optical (CD, DVD) drive but again you can attach a portable optical drive if you need to. It has a fingerprint reader but I don't use it. Bloatware - there's a few programs I'll never use but there is one that is quite functional - "HP Support Assistant". You can register any HP product with the support assistant to get driver updates and other helpful utilities. Sound - I always chuckle when someone complains about the sound on a laptop not being as good as their home theater sound system. It's a laptop. However, for a 15" laptop, the sound is good and strong. Plenty of volume. Everything a reasonable person would expect. Battery - I usually work plugged in so I can't vouch for the battery. The few times I worked from battery it seemed to hold up nicely. Wireless Reception - early 2-in-1s suffered from bad design regarding the antenna in the lid. This laptop has as good a wireless range as any laptop I've used in the past several years. There is one irritating issue with this machine. If you are using headphones connected through the headphone jack, there's a 2-3 second delay from the time the music / video starts to when you start getting sound. This isn't an issue listening through Bluetooth earphones or from the laptop speakers. This is a known issue yet HP hasn't bothered to fix it. This problem is over a year old and affects about every HP laptop. I'd dock this laptop a half star but having to choose between 4 and 5, I still think it's a 5.

Having other 17' laptops for gaming and other tasks, I was looking for something a little smaller and lighter but, one that still had full size features like a number pad. I didn't need a ton of storage but still wanted a ssd for speed. The HP 360 2 in 1 fit the bill with a touch screen and ssd. The laptop is quick to startup, very quiet, light and doesnt generate a ton of heat. I purchased the 360 with the I7 processor, 256 gb ssd and 12 g ram. Being that I have only had 17" laptops previously i was a little hesitant on getting the 15.6" screen but, i can say that i now have no regrets going to the 15.6 screen. My biggest concern with getting a laptop was with which brand to get. I have owned several HP's over the years and some have been good and others just plain bad. The build quality of the 360 seems to be solid with decent hinges, nice non-flexing keyboard (not like some previous generations). The screen at first seems a little dark, but after making a quick deeper level adjustment I was able to turn down the brightness a little. The only negative that i have so far would be with the finger print scanner mounted on the side of the computer. It seems to be too sensitive as to how your finger touches it (poor location for the sensor). Sometimes it works great, other times not so much. I contacted HP support about the fingerprint scanner when i first pickup up the 360. Lets just say that if you have experience reloading drivers or programs and feel comfortable doing so, then don't call HP support, you allready know as much as they do. 4 stars at this point, if the fingerprint scanner worked like it should I would probably up it to 5 stars. I will update this review if HP quality issues start to show up.

I've had this laptop for approximately 6 weeks now, and it's a solid performer. Quick boot and wake from sleep. Fast storage, and responsive to what you're doing. The design is very good, with a nice array of ports, including HDMI, 2 USB 3 - Type A ports, a USB - Type C port, Card Reader, and a Headphone Jack. Some other features include Touchscreen, Fingerprint Sensor, and Backlit Keyboard. The screen has a pretty solid brightness and clarity, with brilliant colors. Windows 10 is set to a magnification of 125% by default, which made things too big for my liking. I reduced the magnification down to 100%, and that worked out well for me. The audio from its built-in speakers is very good, with a very respectable volume. Of course, don't expect any substantial bass. When I first got this laptop, the B&O native audio app used to have an equalizer built in. That went away with the last update to the app. The app does give you some other audio customizations, though. The Touchpad works very well, and has many customization options, but it's not quite as smooth as a few others out there. I wouldn't call that a problem, though, as it gets the job done well, and there are definitely worse ones out there. The keyboard has a nice feel to it, again not the best I've used, but very good. There are much, much pricier laptops out there with far worse keyboards, in terms of both feel and reliability. The chasis is a nice light silver, and seems to be pretty sturdy to me. The heat exhaust port is on the side of this laptop, which is a great place for it, rather than blowing hot air at the screen. This laptop can get moderately warm under heavy loads, but pretty well stays mildly warm during general use. A good thing. The charger for this laptop can become very warm, until charging is complete. Not much of a concern for me, but good to know. Leaving the charger plugged in to a power outlet, while not connected to the computer is fine. It stays nice and cool. In Windows 10, there is a setting, if you tap on the battery icon, in the system tray, that will allow you to customize the computer's performance, whether on battery or on A/C power. Although is would be a general feature of Windows. This computer will also run Linux. Overall, I do like this computer. I did much research before buying it. Keep in mind, that there is no perfect computer out there. This one was the best choice for me at the time, and I am happy with it. Online and Phone support from HP is definitely better than it was several years ago, but it can still be better. I would say that overall, HP is on the right track, in terms of customer support and user experience. It's good to see that they have stepped up for their customers. Keep it going, HP!

I replace my laptops and computers every 3-4 yrs. I've had Dells, Gateways, Toshibas ... but nothing lasts as well as my HPs. I wanted a capable laptop, light weight to carry easier on the road (my last HP weighed 15 lbs and took a couple chips/cracks on the casing pushing through the case). This laptop is fast, lightweight, and the new touch screen is phenominal. My applications run in a matter of seconds, it's never bogged down, and it just seems to store everything I through at her with ease. The esthetic quality is amazing, I feel like I have a laptop that costs me 3-5x as much that it did. Thank You Best Buy for my amazing deal!

I had a really old MAC that was really slow. I needed a new computer with some speed to be able to do some work from home, but also needed some space to continue to store photos on my computer. I am not a techy person, but so far this is meeting my needs. It is taking a little to get accustomed to not having a MAC and its shortcuts, but I couldn't afford the equivalent MAC right now. The speed of this new computer has made doing simple things like paying bills online and Internet research much easier and less time consuming. I do miss the ability to organize my photo albums the way I want them organized without having to rename them because unlike a MAC that had a photo system, this computer does not - they are just photos in folders on your computer. I also had the home version of student Office installed because I didn't want to be paying a yearly fee. I also had everything transferred to my new computer from my MAC by Geek Squad. I think most everything transferred okay. I think there might be a few pictures I'll need to go back to the MAC and download to a flash drive and then put on this one. I also purchased complete Geek Squad assistance which has been worth it just to have everything transferred and programs installed. They even took the old disk for my printer and installed it and then I updated it online once I got home and connected it with my computer. I've only used it as a tablet once or twice because my main use is to have it at my desk for work, but the tablet part worked just fine. I do like the touch screen and the number pad on the right of the keyboard - so helpful.

This laptop is a replacement for a 9 year old HP product. I cannot complain about the speed at all. The only thing that should be better is that HP should not bother with any SSD less than 512GB. And the cooling fans make too much noise. I plan on using SD cards for additional storage and/or investing in a solid-state external drive.

I'm a little funny about laptops. I have trouble typing on some of the keyboards, like my last two Dells. The last good keyboard I used was my former HP. Looks like HP wins again. I can type quickly without mistakes and find the extended keyboard very handy. The battery life has been great. I had to get a friend to reverse the scrolling direction of the touchpad, which wasn't automatically user-friendly, but that's good now too. The touchscreen itself works great. The laptop is thinner than those I've had and is nice and light too. I have a little trouble with trying to "right-click" on the touchpad, as there are no actual buttons and the placement of that area for left- and right-clicking is not wonderful, but it's manageable. The only other thing to adjust to is that two of the arrow keys are a little smaller and some of the Function/end/pg up/pg down keys are in different locations from my old Dells. I've been very happy with this laptop overall, though. And I think I'll be buying HPs from now on.

I've had this laptop for about 8 months now and have experienced no real issue. I upgraded from a previous HP Envy model and wanted something that was familiar but also, obviously, an improvement. This is definitely that. It's my first time with an SSD and a touchscreen. I don't really use the 360 swivel but I do think it's a nice feature to have. I'm the type who generally leaves my laptop in the same place, so I can't comment much on the battery life, but it serves my purposes when I want to move it for a little while without it being plugged in. Literally the only minor issue I've had has to do with the lack of actual buttons on the pad. Before this, I hadn't used a laptop without those. Sometimes I'll be meaning to be using one "button" and it'll do the opposite. It seems to be a little less than precise in that way. It's certainly not enough to knock the laptop down from five stars, though. Overall, I love this laptop and would definitely recommend it to others.

I've owned this laptop for 2 years. The biggest "problem" I have is the 256 SSD is nearly full of my photos. But it has not had any problem with web surfing, video streaming, game play, or simple Office tasks - which is what I need. Backlit keyboard is nice at night, and the touchscreen is fantastic! I'm spoiled! I've recently found that the camera and mike quality are super for Zoom meetings as well. The only "wear" it shows is the little soft strips at the bottom have all been torn off because I use it in bed on a laptop tray, and it gets slid around a lot. But it still has outperformed nearly every other laptop I've had! With the SSD, I'm less afraid of it falling off the bed or getting knocked around a bit more than my previous machines. If it were to fail, I would buy it again - just with a larger SSD drive!

This laptop is definitely everything I wanted! High speed efficiency and a sleek, versatile design for browsing, reading, drawing, gaming and much more with the 2-in-1 feature of this model. The transition from a windows 7 laptop to windows 10 was surprisingly smooth (as this is my first new laptop with Windows 10). The only things to watch out for with this laptop is the glossy finish of the screen (highly reflective and not optimal in spaces with high amounts of sunlight) and the noise the laptop sometimes emits, despite having an SSD! Overall, I'm very satisfied with this laptop and would strongly recommend this to those who enjoy the familiarity and straightfoward nature of a Windows laptop with the artistic versatility of a tablet.

I purchased this PC to replace a MacBookPro that was 5 years old and beginning to show evidence of dying. Moving from a Mac to a PC was a bit of a transition, although I have other PCs in my home. I highly recommend this PC because it runs quickly and smooth. I only notice a slight different in the builtin mousepad which is not quite as responsive and smooth as a Mac; however, the main advantage is the price of this PC compared to a comparable Mac price. I like the fact that I have 12GB RAM and a SSD drive. I am not at all disappointed in the price of this PC. It delivers and that's what I need.

Needed a faster computer mainly for Office programs and internet searching. Had to have touch screen, SSD, at least 8GB memory, and 2-in-1 feature (folds back 360 deg.). The last feature is mainly because our other 2 HP laptops have it and when I try using one that doesn't, it's habit to try to push the screen farther than it can go. This computer has done well so far. It boots up really quick and has no speed problems with 9 tabs up at a time and Word or Excel open at the same time. Speakers are good, and it works well with my Bamboo Stylus. Only cons are some design issues that HP should change. Power button is a rectangular button on the side that is hard to tell if you've pushed. It should be round, on top of the computer, and have a definite click that lets you know you've turned the computer on. Another reviewer mentions that there is a sound lag of 2-3 secs when headphones are inserted; this is true. The only other issue is that every once and awhile when I brush the touch pad while typing, it will either bring up a weird window or close the window I have. I have tried to find a solution, but apparently it is a known problem with HP. The only other thing that could make this computer better is if it had a DVD drive. External DVD drives are a pain and don't work well.

I have had this almost 2 months now and I have absolutely no complaints. It's fast I love the screen and the ability to flip it and use it as a tablet The fingerprint reader makes it faster to login I haven't had any issues with heat as the fan is located on the side rather than beneath the unit The keyboard spacing is perfect plus the ability to turn off and on the back lighting is a plus The track pad is one of the easiest I have used It is light weight The battery life is great! I am a happy owner.

Purchased this Laptop as a Christmas gift for my wife. She works from home and has daily documentation to do, sometimes on the go or at appointments. The touchscreen and flexibility of this laptop come in super handy for on the go usage and for education time with our son. Had to have a laptop with 10-Key and back lighting. Would buy again! Only issue is with speakers occasionally going in and out but usually a toggle of mute and unmute brings them back.

I thoroughly enjoy my new HP. It is fast, has a very good screen quality, and the touch screen is very handy. Haven't tried the light pen yet, but it seems like a good idea. The metal-like keyboard works well, but it is difficult to see the keys in low light. This computer also has loads of memory and good graphics for a non-gamer. I appreciate the ease of operation and the many apps that are available. Certainly would recommend this HP to anyone looking to upgrade.
