The HP Envy laptop I purchased about a month ago is super fast (for turning on/off and accessing the internet), super quiet and light weight. And I was fortunate to get a great deal by purchasing an open box that was Geek Squad excellent-certified. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

Funny, one of my closest friends bought this same computer for Christmas...we got them around the same time and had never talked about getting new laptops. We are both in the same profession. I figured, great minds think alike! This laptop is great! I love being able to just twist it all around and use it like a giant tablet, write on it with my Bamboo Ink, or color, and when I need to just work I really enjoy the nice smooth keyboard and keys. I run lots of heavy memory usage programs/apps at the same time and it usually does just fine. It does sometimes just get stuck, even when it was brand spankin new. I'll have to close out from the Task Manager or just restart. I figure that's just me not having enough memory for all the stuff I have running at the same time. Still love it though. Its a tough sucker too. Its been pushed and shoved into bags and the screen has been flipped and flipped and flipped some more and nothing is loose at all. Was not a big fan of HP computers/laptops before this, but I am now, definitely. I have always had love of HP Printers. So there's now another plus for me regarding HP!

This computer will suffice for someone who doesn't plan to take it anywhere or do any major computing on it. Its battery life is subpar for a computer this expensive. It lasts maybe 4 hours with average use on the internet, word processing, and an occasional youtube video. So far, the touchscreen is a nice feature, but I would prefer a longer battery life over almost any feature that is added to this computer. I like the keyboard a lot, especially the 10-key. The fingerprint reader is nice, but it has an awkward place on the side of the computer and only accepts one fingerprint. The computer itself runs about as fast or a little slower than my 2015 MacBook Pro, so I was disappointed in its processing power, expecting to move up to a faster computer...since it is three years newer.... The fan is also very loud compared to the Mac. The fan runs constantly, so the noise gets annoying after a while and I switch back to using my MacBook because it is quieter and just as fast, plus its battery life will last me long enough to watch a Netflix movie or TV show. I would look into other brands of computers before making this purchase--especially if you are looking to spend this much.

This laptop has been great so far. I like the way it looks, very slick finish. Super fast, I transferred my information from old laptop to this one and it took no time at all. The applications and load times are super quick. Lost one star on the fingerprint scanner, it doesn't always work and a bit jumpy on telling you it doesn't recognize the print.

This laptop is great. Slim, lightweight and has a fast processor. The keyboard is smooth and the keys are adequately spaced for easy typing. The charge lasts a long time and the quality of the screen is so vivid and crisp. I really recommend this laptop to anyone.

This is a great computer. I like the solid state drive, it is lightweight and not as heavy as my laptop before and does not get hot with extended use. I mostly use this computer to pay bills, school work and listening to music and it has performed with no problem.

With 12 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD, this laptop has plenty of horsepower for those who need to multitask - especially when it comes to web browsing. The 360-degree hinge allows you to convert the laptop into a tablet, which is very convenient! The only cons for me are that when rotated the entire 360 degrees, here isn't anywhere to really hold the device like a tablet without pressing on the keyboard (which is deactivated in tablet mode anyway), and the speakers crackle quite loudly even when no audio is playing - I understand there may be some driver updates/troubleshooting that can fix this, but it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. On the whole, I like this laptop very much even with a few downsides that I can live with.

I purchased this laptop to replace a 17.3" Envy that the motherboard failed on after a few years. This laptop is much thinner, lighter and easier to handle. The processing is very fast and sound is great.

I wasn't sure I would use the touch screen but I do. I bought a stylus pen and find I like scrolling up and down on the screen. My school laptop was very heavy. This is light weight and I like the larger screen. I highly recommend this laptop.

Needed a new computer for daughter starting college and this was still in reviews as a good pick and we are very happy with it. She loves the touch screen and versatility of the screen bending back making a variety of work positions very comfortable.

This was the perfect laptop for me. Shopped around in the store with help from one of the workers. After trying a bunch I went with this. Great performance. Really fast. Battery life is great. Would buy another if I needed a second computer.

After many years of my husband begging me up grade my laptop, I finally did. I am happy with the ease of use and speed. Having a touchscreen wasn't a priority, I can not image not having it. So far the laptop has exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this Laptop for College and it works great! It is lightweight and easy to use. I am in love with it! The 360-degree hinge is very useful. It is fast and it does not freeze. It is also quiet. I brinv it everywhere.

I purchased this laptop for my husband for an early Christmas gift. It was a great deal for Black Friday. We were replacing a 5 year old laptop. My Husband loves how light it is, it starts up fast and the touch screen is great.

Really fast i7 with touch screen. Love the 10 second startup for WIN 10. Weight is nice and light, and the light colors keys are the best to see during the daylight. I have purchased three of these models and will buy a fourth soon.

I've now had my laptop for 6 months and I love the speed, its light weight and I make use of 2-in-1 feature. The only con I have is the battery life could be better.

Great , lightweight laptop with nice size for working on edits , graphic images etc., I like the option of the touch screen and the other option of using the mouse for different applications, such as spreadsheet work

I definitely recommend this laptop for work applications - great value, speed, and user experience. It is very fast and pleasant to use on its own. It also works well with additional peripherals. Neither an universal docking station or simply using a USB hub have presented any issues. There is one downside - there are very limited ports. In seeking to be sleek, the decision was clearly made not to provide the same access ports as you frequently see in work laptops. You would do well to purchase a USB hub (or universal docking station) if you are using it at a workstation.

The computer loads applications quickly and the screen has a great resolution. It has a full keyboard, which I like, but the additional size makes it a bit heavy. Fine to carry around from room to room in your house, but I would not want to need to carry it somewhere every day.
