Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the GSP 670 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset's sound quality and comfort. Many appreciate the long battery life and comfortable fit, even during extended use. However, some users have criticized the software's usability and found the headset to be somewhat heavy. Overall, the positive feedback on audio and comfort seems to outweigh the negative comments regarding the software and weight.

software is TERRIBLE. the sidetone is practically non existent coming from astro a50 and i find myself speaking louder to be able to hear myself. I almost want to just switch back to my astro a50 despite the better sound. The software constantly forgets your settings even with the newer firmware and software updates. in addition, a lot of times the software doesnt recognize the headset and you have to restart your computer to get it to work again. Absolutely nightmare software that makes me laugh that this headset goes for $320 MSRP. The sound is good but had i known all the issues it comes with I wouldnt have sold my astro a50s to my friend, the sound isnt good enough to justify how terrible the software actually is. its amazing it can be this bad. seriously Sennheiser get it together.

I’ve always been a huge Sennheiser fan. I use their headphones for mixing recordings, casual listening and now gaming. They are a bit heavier than most gaming headphones but maybe that’s because they use better components? They fit perfectly over my ears and I can play for hours without having any discomfort. Very satisfied with these.

I had these for almost 40+ days and it’s actually really good headset other than the mic quality being complete trash. But for the price of it? No not really since it feels like it’d something for $200 or less tbh. I recommend getting this on sale if you could. The sound quality and noise isolation is probably a good selling point if you love that on headsets so you can be more focus on what you’re hearing rather than hearing outside noise

This is my second set. Now the last set I got was a bit flawed from the getgo, constant cut outs as the dongle wasn't as close as it should have been. The ear muffs were peeling after about a year of use, I had the geeksquad plan so I opted for replacement and got the same set. They work pretty good overall, very good sound clarity and for FPS shooters its pretty good. I would argue the software is a bit old and for whatever reason you need to plug in your USB plug in for the mic to work after a reboot every once in a while. I'd say it's a solid piece for a gamer but the better deal would be the wired version IMO.

A good headset; however, I went with the ASTRO A50's. the A50's are much more comfortable and a lot more comfortable wearing them for longer periods of time. The EPOS made my head incredibly hot over a short period of time. They also stopped working all of a sudden when I was playing CoD and never worked again after that.

My second set, first set did OK, but they've update the SW and exterior is a bit more robust. Sounds great, works great and for any avid gamer its a great alternative. Sure it's expensive but having a wireless headset is next level.

The audio quality when it actually plays is pretty great actually really good full audio with good bass as well but man does it snap crackle and pop like no other. I’ve updated everything on my computer that could be causing it and I’ve deduced it’s just the headset as I haven’t had problems like this in a long time. The white noise is consistent for awhile and then it will go away for a short time and come back. Could be mine are just defective but man am I disappointed.

Great headphones, Highly recommend. However there are much cheaper alternatives in the market as this is quite overpriced. This one is a little heavy on the top, but I do enjoy these Sennheiser's.

I have been a sennheiser fan since I can’t remember. Music-wise, amazing quality. Well I game too and I thought hey, let me try one of their best pairs and to be honest not quite what I expected. The microphone, sounds like a walkie talkie. The sound quality on the headsets is quite undermining especially when you see the price. I returned them the same week and got some Arctic Pro for half the price and man, are they amazing. Don’t spend this much for headsets especially if you can get something better at a lower price.

I was not happy with this headset and am replacing it with the Astro A50. These did not get very loud, did not have much base, and would regularly get a crackling sound for a second or two.

Sennheisers 1st wireless headset GREAT Qualities!

If you are willing to put down the extra coin to purchase a good headset, Sennheiser made a great introduction to the wireless gaming headset market! I will keep this review simple and hit the main points and what matters. Please keep in mind my background and daily use are for work meetings and average gaming. I am sorry i can not give a detailed review on Audio quality. But I can tell you unless you have experience and training with sound engineering, you will still see a massive improvement in Audio Quality if this is your first major purchase for a headset. Pros- -Gel Cups: These Gel cups are great and form fitting to your head. Comfort is overall pleasant and are not abrasive against the skin around your ears. -Head size and Tension Adjustments: The GSP670s offer a wide range of adjustments sizes as well as how tight they hold to your head. size adjustments are on the side and the tension adjustments are located on the top of the headset. 2.1 and 7.1 Surround Sound: Great equalizer and sound settings help with immersion and surround sound can only be as great as the software. Software does have some issues but I will cover that in the Cons. Dongle and Bluetooth pairing: Dongle distance is roughly 10-15 meters depending on what is between you and the USB Dongle plugged into your pc/computer. Would imagine it use Radio Frequency waves for this so keep in mind you will be interference from the microwave and possibly your wifi router. Bluetooth pairing is quick and responsive. Audio quality can vary depending on synced device sound software. Longetivity: I have ran 16-17 hours without charge on some days due to telework and meetings that would last around 8-10 hours. Afterwards, I tend to find time to play Video Games and have not had my GSP670s die on me yet. Working Out with GSP670s: Overall great experience Working Out at the Gym or going on a run. Tensioners allow extra pressure to stay firm to your head. I do not recommend due to accumulation of sweat can make life span of Gel Cups shorter however I was able to disinfect and let them dry out before using again. If Sennheiser came out with a water resistant Gel Cup intended for outdoor activities such as the same Gel Cups that can be found on 3M ComTac Headsets, then I would recommend. Build Quality: Feels great, Metal hinges at stress points and durable plastics give it a great feel, a solid feel. Intregrated Boom Microphone has mute setting when Up and will click to tell you your Microphone is hot when you adjust the mic down to your mouth. Mircophone Clarity: Impressive clarity using microphone, the party on the other end will no doubt hear you clearly. CONS: -SOFTWARE: Now this is no surprise to me seeing that Sennheiser is taking a shot at the Wireless Market. The software is not user friendly. On some occasions, my headset will not connect every time to the dongle and will have to turn the headset off, unplug the USB dongle and plug back in. It was hard to navigate to their website and download the necessary software for their equalizer settings. After doing my own research on other various websites I decided to take a chance on this headset. I do not regret spending the extra money for this. I decided to get the 2 year warranty as well sense in my perspective, it Is a LARGE investment for a headset. I can assure you that you may have a bit of heartache with the software until Sennheiser fixes it with patches and updates, but you will get your $$$ worth in quality.

Best (Non)-Wired Sound Quality, Comfortable, Smart

    Posted .

Extremely High-Quality Sound (Wireless). Great Microphone, picks up my voice easily and transmits it clearly. According to gamer friends, "Clearer than any other Microphone you have used.", which is saying a lot because I pride myself on having great headphones. The technology is impressive, but it is not the first/only of its kind, although it MAY be the most advanced. The natural Noise Cancellation saves battery and the ability to switch from 2.0 to 7.1 surround sound with the tap of a button is nice. Why It Gets 4 Stars: The instructions that come with them are vague at best. Normally with a new pair of BlueTooth headphones, this wouldn't be an issue, but this isn't a normal pair. It took me some time to figure out that once the Dongle is connected to the computer and paired with the headphones, that was all that was needed for it to connect. The app lags a little when it comes to recognizing a device, not a big deal, if the instructions were more clear I think people would realize the setup is simple. As I said, the sound quality is out of this world, but there is a minor flaw, the app has an EQ that has 4 presets none of which are "Gaming". This may not seem like a big deal, but when you change the EQ to Movie from Music it auto switches into 7.1 from 2.0. So a "Gaming" preset would be nice to tune/auto-tune the headphones. I have a DTSX Codec that allows me to turn on an "Intelligent Gaming Mode" EQ, but if I want to use that with these headphones I have to disconnect the dongle and connect them normally via BlueTooth. I feel like doing that causes them to not function to the max potential, otherwise, why would we need a Dongle in the first place? They are a little expensive for my taste, keeping in mind their limitations, but if the company said that it would release firmware updates for them to improve their functionality, then I may consider them. P.S: They really do sound really good when using the Dongle, but if you happen to have the DTSX Codec installed I recommend connecting them via BlueTooth so that Codec gets enable. In the DTSX App, you can search for the version of headphones you are using, not all models are in there, only ones that support DTSX, but these ARE!
