We were thrilled when we purchased a new printer because this particular number of ink is readily available and easy to find. It has a nice, non-smear appearance on 20 weight paper. But, let me tell you a surprise that we had happen recently. If your cartridge runs completely dry during a long printing job, you might find you print head becoming covered with a light film or chemical. The problem comes when you insert the next full cartridge. For some reason, it will NOT print anything properly until you clean the print heads repeatedly. We're talking 3-4 times minimum. But, love the Epson printers over any HP that we've had. Ink is long lasting under normal use, including color cartridges. 252XL is excellent. But, discovered that 254XL works in our printer, too.

Ink last a long time, even printing pictures. I've never had a problem with these cartridges

The Epson 252XL Blank ink lasts a lot longer and gives you more pages per cartridge

Purchased this black Epson 252 recently and have never had probs before w this item. Since I installed a couple of weeks back, all copies and printed docs come out faded and sometimes with black lines on them. I don’t have receipt so assumed I was out of luck—can I please bring back w/o my receipt and exchange for another one to try?

I appreciate having the XL on the black. Easy to install and use. Make sure to pull the ir intake tap off before installing, as you will not be able to easily after without pulling it out again. I wish you could do this after to avoid spillage. Also, they should make these cartridges easier to refill like have a refill one way valve. They would still be selling the ink and inserting device.

I was not expecting this size of the ink cartridge to fit in my printer but because of its XL size but it fitted due to the extra space in my printer. It was easy to use and my printer worked well with th well.

Bought it for the high-yield ink quanity. Good price for the product.

This ink works perfectly in my Epson printer. Any other knock off brands cause all kinds of problems.

Ink Cartridges are easy to install and last, just need to shake prior to installing. Cheaper than other brands

I noticed that my Epson Workhorse Printer will not print if one cartridge is low to empty. Best solution is to have XL cartridges on hand. Replacement is literally a snap, as in open the lid, pop out the old and snap on the new. Bam, printer prints!

I've always bought the standard cartridge of ink because I didn't think the XL was worth the price. I finally took the plunge and I am not disappointed. I have gotten almost 3x as many prints out of this cartridge and still have about 25% left. Great deal and worth the little extra money!

I have used several brand printers over the years and have found Epson to have the best printers, accessories and inks/cartridges for the money. The factory support has always been outstanding when needed. The ink is outstanding, easy to remove & replace, and lasts reasonably well.
