Very good ink but doesn't last long.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even with the double well of the 273 black cartridge, you still go through a lot of ink quickly. My particular printer uses a separate Photo Black cartridge that is not to be confused with the larger black ink cartridge. By setting your font to Ecofont (if you have it in your font library) will help. Garamond is another efficient font. I have a feeling that I lose a lot of ink to the cleaning process but can't prove it. It does print very well regardless.

Does what it's supposed to

Yes, the printer eats ink, and yes, you are never sure you're getting all the ink out of the cartridge but I can say that about every cartridge I've ever used. I don't have time to fool with refurbs or generics and Best Buy had the best price when I bought it ****I wish Best Buy carried the 273XL cartriges.

Does the job

Before you buy a printer, check out the cartridge prices first. My printer specializes in high resolution photo printing. If I would have known what I was getting into, I would have never bought this printer. I rarely print in color and so this printer was not a good buy for me.

It's print cartridge

This is the cartridge it needs to function so this is the cartridge I buy. I have tried "equivalent/ compatible" cartridges. The printer manufacturers have taught their printers to recognize non-brand merchandise and refuse to cooperate with them. The price of this seems reasonable and Best Buy seems to have the best price.

Good and not as expensive as color
