    I recently upgraded my Epson printer to an XP 440 from a well used XP-410. I was a little disappointed to see that the previous generation ink cartridges were not compatible with the 440. However, after using a couple of cartridges, my sense is that the -288 cartridges do last longer than the previous -200 versions. The print quality is noticeably better; but that may be as much due to the age and usage history of the old printer.
