I owned the original Epson PictureMate (PM500) for eight years and got beautiful pictures. It was still working great when it ran out of the number of pictures it would print. I was able to reset the counter once and got another two years out of the printer but the second time the printer stopped printing I could not reset the counter again. So, I was forced to buy the current Epson PM400 which I love and the print quality might be just a hair better than the original. No complaints with the printer. Immediately I noticed a difference in the photo paper. It was so thin and flimsy. I got out a piece of photo paper that I have used for the last eight years and it was very obvious that the PM400 photo paper was much thinner than what I have been using. So, thin that I do not use the paper that is included in the PM400 print pack. I buy Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy S041727 which matches the photo paper I have been using in the T5846 print pack for the last eight years. I have emailed Epson with the hopes that they reconsider their decision to use thinner paper in the PM400 print packs (320P). I do not notice the quality of the picture to be less with the thinner paper; I just prefer the thicker paper which feels higher quality. Therefore, the ink gets a 5 rating but the 4 rating is because of the thin paper.

Fair price and I get it much quicker from Best Buy than I can get it from Epson themselves!
