Printer failed catastrophically the same day Best Buy would no longer accept a return. Printed/copied at most a few dozen pages over just a few weeks of extremely light use. Won't feed. Won't print. Locks up due due to non-existent paper jams and error messages that won't clear. Just freezes and says to contact Epson support (no help, of course).

Consistently lines across your color prints

This product did not live up to my expectations. When I print in color, I get lines across my entire page weather I use plain paper, card stock or glossy paper. I was hoping to use this printer for my stickers and its been a complete disappointment unfortunately. It is easy to use and black and white print just fine but color is all around thumbs down.

Printer is smaller than old one. Quieter and prints well. East to use and set up. Tried it in the car with a small inverter and it powers up and prints just fine—but take care as that’s a potential ink mess and it’s not rated for high temps and vibration in mobile use (car) but I’m glad I have an emergency option. So far print quality is ok for basic files and does the job.

This printer is one of the wrost. Take 45 minutes to print one page and does not even print the whole page. It gave me error code and can't be fixed. I would not recommend getting a epson eco tank wrost printer out there

Absolute garbage. Unless you like to clean the printer head every single time you want to anything. Need a recipe, oh don’t forget to clean the printer head first. Need to print a return label, if you want more than 2% of the image, ya better clean that printer head, again.

Epson ET-2800 Review This is my second purchase of the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 printer. My first purchase was in January 2023. Most of my printing is in black ink. It prints clean, fast and the ink is dry immediately after printing. The ink lasts much, much longer than my previous Epson printer which used cartridge inks. Therefore, my expense for replacing ink has been markedly reduced. The printer has a small foot print taking up little space. Too me it makes acceptable noise while printing. It only prints legal size and letter size. Epson updates me regularly on new drives, and other applicable usage. After about a year, it ceased to print in color which did not bother me. After the second year it had a paper jam which I could not un-jam. In order to un-jam it I thought that I would need to take off its bottom. The top did not come completely off like the instructions said it should. I am mechanically inclined. I liked this model so much that I immediately ordered the same model. Meanwhile I took the first now jammed model into the store. A Geek Squad staff un-jammed that printer without taking off its bottom. Again, the top did not come off. However, he took a lot of time and eventually he was able to remove the jammed sheet of paper in bits and pieces. The printer works but only using black ink. Then I went over and pickup the second same model printer. I am keeping the first model. Eventually I'll have its print heads thoroughly cleaned. Am now using the second same model printer. However, to avoid the color heads from drying out due to infrequent usage, now I print in color a few times each month to keep the color heads working. Since most of my printing is still almost always in black, I add different colors to labels. Also a few times a month I'll print out Asian meals which I see on line. They contain multiple colors. Because I'm involve in counseling and researching, I do a great deal of printing. I've had this second printer since the end of April 2025. I estimate that it still has 60% of black ink and 80% of each color ink after two months of usage. All in all I am very, very happy with this model printer. After all I did purchased the same model again. I highly recommend purchasing the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 printer to others.

I sort of gave up on inkjet printers several years ago. The ink, more than anything, had me fed up. It felt like all I could get was couple of decent sized color prints before I was having to change another tiny, overpriced cartridge. I eventually just picked up a color laser for standard printing and proofing, and if I wanted to print something high quality like a photo, I'd just send it to a printing service. So I was skeptical, but interested to try out a tank-based printer, and as far as printing goes, Epson knocked it out of the park. The tanks, at first glance, seem like they might not hold all that much, but even after a dozen or so full color, full page prints (and a variety of smaller ones) I've barely made a dent. The filling process is simple, but I did have a minor issue with a spill on removing a bottle from its fill socket, which is probably due to user error. The white plastic where the ink touched is now stained a faint blue where I cleaned it up, but it hasn't affected the prints at all. And man, the prints are fantastic. Maybe I've just become used to the sort of dull colors that my laser provides, or maybe there's really something to Epson's heat-free micro-piezo printing technology, but I don't ever remember inkjet prints looking this good. It prints perfectly. No streaking, no dull spots. I'm stunned. Setup was quick and easy using the Epson Smart Panel app. Printing wirelessly works without any issues with both my phone and windows 10 devices, without any additional installs required. A few days after setting it up, the printer itself prompted me to update the firmware, which I was able to do through the front panel display without any instructions, as the user interface, although rather tiny, is simple and easy to use. I did have to download scanner drivers from Epson's website to scan to my computer via USB. It worked out of the box with Windows' basic drivers, but the quality was astonishingly poor. Epson's drivers did clear that right up, however. The scanner pulls in 1200 dpi with Epson's drivers installed, and so far my scans have been very serviceable, with none of the weird crosshatching I've seen so often on all-in-one devices. There isn't a document feeder, so this is strictly single-page, and it's great for scanning in photos. All in all, I'm very happy with the performance of the printer, the size of the ink tanks and the price of replacement ink. Epson's got a winner on it's hands for anyone wanting a high quality printer for home use, and I definitely recommend it.
