There isn't anything too special about the Epson EcoTank ET-2850 but it seems to be a pretty solid printer after several uses. My favorite part of the printer is its Epson Smart Panel companion app for Android. This app makes printing from my phone super easy. From my phone I can do all sorts of different print types; from photos and documents, to access to Google Classroom and creative prints. Filling the ink tanks is straight forward and no-mess. This printer uses refillable ink tanks instead of ink cartridges. I don't have a preference either way with cartridges or refillable tanks, but supposedly you get more bang for your buck with the tanks. Connecting to my Android phone for the first time was also easy and smooth. I had a bit of difficulty with getting my pc to discover the printer for wi-fi printing, but was able to get it done in the end. The printer is quiet. Standard copies are decent enough, albeit not the sharpest. The high quality print setting does have much better clarity however. The printer is white, although the power cord is black which I thought was weird. It's a basic looking printer so it's not going to win any design awards. The paper tray is the kind that sticks up from the top of the printer. I much prefer the look and space savings of paper trays that load underneath, but it's fine. This printer can also be integrated with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice-activated printing, but I doubt I'll ever use that feature. All in all, I think that this printer will last a long time and keep everyone in my family happy with easy printing at home, and I'm happy with it.

This is a great time saver and quality printer. Printing pictures comes out sharp and vivid. Graphs, reports, and illustrations print with ease. This really is a quality all-in-one. Setup is easy and painless, taking about 15 minutes. Ink bottles are mess-free and so easy to use, you’ll wonder why no one invented this decades ago. Very small form factor that easily fits in a home office setting or a living room without looking like it’s out of place. App is easy to use and responsive. Really you can’t go wrong with this and it’s so much better for the environment than buying dozens of cartridges. Highly recommended for busy moms, work-from-home businessmen, and students with lots of reports.

I currently own another Epson EcoTank printer so I know how much money you can save using this technology. I needed another printer and selected this one because of its footprint and white color. It is an attractive printer. Set up was very easy using the instructions in the box which direct you to download the app and then follow along as it guides you in how to fill the ink tanks. The process is simple and the bottles did not leak any ink. The connectivity to our network was quick and easy and I was able to start printing quickly, The print quality is very good. I like the fact that the paper loads from an upright position in the back. That allows te printer to be placed close to the wall which is exactly where I planned to put it. Overall, I would say that this printer does everything it advertises it can do. The only drawback for me and the reason I do not give it 5 stars is because it does not support Chrome OS. The main reason for getting this unit was to connect to a Chromebook and many Epson printers do support Chrome OS, but this one is very new and it does not yet do so, according to the Epson website. I hope they will fix that in a subsequent firmware upgrade. For now, it works with the USB connection for that tablet computer.

This is the best little printer I have ever used. As an Office Manager, I have used quite a few over the years. The price was great for this ET-2850, the size is great for my small space, directions led to an easy install - all features worked immediately after the hookup, the quality is clear and sharp, the test page was a success and there were no problems in connecting the printer to my laptop. This was absolutely a great deal!!! Thank you.

The setup is easy. One thing not mentioned is after the Printer does if first test print, You should top off the ink reservoirs with the remainder of the ink in the supply bottles. It prints very well, however the colors are not as bright as my previous HP printer. Double side printing is easy. HP was annoying.

I read through all the reviews before buying. Since I homeschool, I needed something that will stand up to hundreds of pages without needing new ink. So I bought online and had it delivered. Delivery was faster than expected. Now to the printer. This is better than I expected. The ink for refilling the entire system once I will need it, I priced locally at $58 for all 4. My last printer cost $36 for just the black and the printer itself had only cost me $75. Since this printer holds so much more ink, I love this. I have not printed pics, as this is really for business and school work. So far I've printed just over 100 pages and the ink barely went below the fill lines. The pages are clear and crisp, no matter how much color or grayscale is used. Since some pages I print are for coloring, this is great for a kid who is just learning to color inside lines. So I expect at this rate based on ink used, I should easily be able to get 1000 pages in before needing to order new ink. My last printer, I was luck to get 100 black and white pages, or if I did color, maybe 125. So I'm super stoked about this so far. Set up took about half an hour or so. I really didn't want to have to get yet another app on my phone but it was required. After putting all the info in, filling the ink and letting it set up, I just had to print a page to check. After the initial set up and all the printing it required, the remaining ink in the bottles was just enough to refill all the way back up. I printed a test page and was happy. The only issue I've had at all with this printer is a paper jam. While printing 30 pages out, in the middle it decided to jam. All paper was inserted correctly but it just didnt want that one piece to make it past..Oh well, easily fixed. Pop the back open and pull it out. Except it wasn't that easy. I did pop the back open and followed directions on the screen saying what to do. But there were tiny pieces stuck inside. So I had to fish those out. Took maybe a minute. Then hit the button to let the system know it was fixed, turned the system off and back on. It started printing again right where it left off. Overall I sincerely love this new printer. Maybe not brand new to the scene, but new to me. The fact I won't have to buy ink every 30-45 days is great. Total up front cost was a bit high, but maintenance will be so much less than my older, cheaper printers were. Great buy.

A bit disappointing. I expected a quick, easy setup, an easy to read display, and larger paper capacity. I spent 30 minutes with the tedious setup process. There were at least 20 pieces of blue tape to remove and shrink wrapped bottle to wrestle with. Each color bottle has to be inserted upside down one at a time and you have to wait for it to glug glug glug slowly into each tank. After ink is entered, the device goes through 10 full minutes of grinding. Scared my dog. Super loud like an ancient Xerox machine. There's no paper tray, just a small sheet feeder. The display screen is tiny with crude drawings, 4pt text, and odd symbols. No clue that a circle with an upside down triangle in it means, or a diamond with a vertical line. At least "OK# is called OK. Geez. I downloaded the app, and went through numerous "next" steps. Here’s where to find your password. Did you find it? Next, enter it. Duh. Meanwhile, I couldn't get it to connect to wifi after multiple tries. It feels like a cheapo device. And that's all before I could actually print. My other printer is a b/w laser that's quick, easy, and a bit faster...when it's not sleeping (Brother printers disconnect randomly). Why did I buy this thing? Why is it so hard to get a good printer? Hasn't Epson figured out how to do this yet after so many decades? HP has crazy expensive cartridges that don't last, and they don't play well with offbrand cartridges, but at least they have a much better design, easy setup, and intuitive buttons. Just buy a deskjet.

EcoTank is a great idea. Ink is ingeniously easy to fill and forget. Saves lots of bother and, hopefully, expense. If ink does last 5,000 pages, we'll see if it dries out in low home use. Print doesn't smear, or run in water. Duplex printing can save 50% on paper, plus on boxing, postage, etc. Very compact printer, only six inches wider than a piece of standard paper. The duplex mechanism is built into the machine, not hanging off the rear as in my old Epson Artisan printer. Construction is light-weight. Printer available in white as well as usual black (why no other colors?). Very easy to set up using the (small) illuminated color screen. To avoid a chance of paper supply bending, blowing or dusting, for a C-note more there's a paper drawer on the next higher model.

Now the printers a couple of years old I can say it's worked great. Still on my first ink which is amazing. I also admit I don't print as much as in the past but the machine does everything expected

This machine, with its Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and RTX 5070 Ti, is an absolute beast. The difference from my old Zenbook is mind-blowing. Where my 750M would sputter on low settings, this desktop devours everything I throw at it. Games run at buttery-smooth frame rates, graphics are maxed out, and the 64GB of RAM means I can multitask like a pro without a single hiccup. Beyond the pure gaming prowess, this PC has also become the heart of my... creative endeavors. My bootleg labubu printing operation, which was briefly in jeopardy (thanks to an initial unit hiccup, smoothly resolved by Best Buy's protection plan!), is now flourishing! The sheer power and higher RAM on this desktop mean crisp, vibrant prints of my favorite little critters are produced at an impressive clip, lightyears ahead of anything my old laptop could dream of. And knowing I can pop in new RAM or a better GPU years down the line? Pure peace of mind. The 2TB PCIe 4 SSD makes load times disappear, and the sleek black aesthetic looks great in my setup. If you're standing in Best Buy right now, torn between a laptop and a desktop, I highly recommend talking to an associate and seriously considering a desktop like this CyberPowerPC, especially if future upgrades are on your mind. This PC is powerful, reliable, and honestly, a joy to use. My virtual enemies are toast, and my labubu empire is growing – all thanks to Best Buy's great advice and an even greater machine!

I am so glad I got this printer. Before I had an HP and the cartridges were really expensive and did not last. This Epson is so easy to use. Just fill each tank and you are good to go. Refill bottles are low cost and they last so so long. I have no regrets and highly recommend it.

We have owned this for about 2 weeks. it was easy to set up. Installing the ink was quick, easy, not messy. We have had no problems printing. I highly recommend.

This printer was super easy to set up and I have been more than happy with the quality of the prints and the ease of use.

Best inkjet printer ive ever had. Prints easily, borderless photos are beautiful. Ink isnt really too costly when put into perspective of the fact that you really can use every bit of it. Definitely pay attention to the type of ink that comes with your printer, dont buy anything else. The 2850 i bought uses pigment based ink, but there are ones that use dye bases. Those will work on a few more different mediums.

I am really impressed with the quality of the printer. I have only printed documents at this time, but plan to print some photos soon. The printer pays for itself in a short time when it comes to the ink usage. I had a small Epson printer years ago that used ink cartridges. It was the best small printer I had owned that the catridges did not have to be replaced after a small amount of printing. Since, I have owned several HP printers and a Brother, the catridges drained quickly with minimum use. The ink was included with the ET-2850, filling the tank was very simple. I do recommend reading instructions when setting up for the (don't do this) part. I work as a tech and when I opened the printer up was curious. Did not mess anything up. The instructions that I had not fully read indicated to be careful removing certain plastic coverings and make sure not to touch certain parts. Just an FYI. The only issue that I had with the printer setup was the phone app detecing the printer connection with WiFi. FYI, if you use VPN, TURN IT OFF WHEN PRINTING! I spent way too much time trying to get the app to find the printer on my phone...ugghh. Went thru troubleshooting steps, powering the printer off and on, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. The WiFi setup turned out to be simple enough once I found the issue. I do on occassion have to disconnect phone from WiFi and reconnect it for the app and printer to commnicate. I also had to restart my phone again after a software update. If the printer is turned off, WiFi connection info has to be enetered again. It can be connected by IP address. Bluetooth should be on, direct connect WiFi setup and again if using VPN on your phone turn if off while printing. I was discussing the printer with my niece because she looking to buy a good printer. I sent her a picture of the stack of information I had printed and a picture of my ink level. After that she wanted all the info on this printer. I recommend this printer, again the only hiccup was with the app detecting the printer with WiFi, but that was an easy fix once I realized the issue with the VPN. The phone app settings are easy enough. When sharing a file it took a couple of tries to minimize the size of the document on the small window in the app. Like many things on the phone touch the small window and pull inward with your fingers and it will minimize the document or picture size for printing.

I really like this Epson ET-2850. I placed it at my mother's house so it can be used by my sister and by other family members if needed when visiting. It's easy to use and put out some nice print jobs. The colors are acceptable and the ink tanks are a money saver. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have a paper tray but a rear paper feeder. I would recommend it.

I was so tired of spending money on ink cartridges, so I bought this printer. This Epson Printer with its Ecotank was the answer! I have printed more than I ever could before and I still have 90% of Ink left. The print quality is comparable to my old Epson and HP printers, and I don't throw money away every few months anymore. I will never buy any other type of printer!

I purchased this printer during the black friday sale. I was in dillemma whether I should spend this much money for a printer. There are many cheaper options as well but if you are looking for a printer and print quite often this is a great option. Not only will you save money on the cartridges in the long run but also the quality of the printer is top notch. I was impressed by the the result of the color print out. The printer is easy to set up, supports airprint via phone or computer, inks are easy to refill without spilling. It has been a good purchase so far. I recommend this printer.

Love this printer more than I could ever imagine. Great print quality. Easy to use not only from our computers (desktop and laptop) but also from our phones and iPads. Easy to connect to, great print quality, ink lasts forever and we print quite a bit. Easy to set up! Great product for a great price!
