I wanted an all-in-one printer and was attracted to the Supertank vs. cartridges. This is pricy (compared to cartridge) but a very nice printer. Setup is a little tricky and it is a must to use the Epson setup software. Once completed this printer impressed me on ease of use, performance, and excellent printouts. I purchased the ET-3850 for the paper draw/tray and the top sheet feeder - features not available on Epson's less expensive model. Although I have read reviews on picture quality not being great, I am more than satisfied with the results.

I’m impressed with the Epson ET-3850 printer/scanner. The setup was easy and I love the idea of only adding ink every six months or so. The scan and print utilities were easy to find and download and work very well. Despite the somewhat expensive initial price, I am very happy with this printer so far. My wife has been very happy with the photo printing as well.

I had an older model printer that required cartridges and typically needed to have the heads cleaned before each intermittent use. It was SO frustrating! I saw reviews of the Epson EcoTank which addressed these specific concerns so took a chance and purchased it. I'm SO very glad I did! The set up was very easy and it prints great every time

So far so good! I got this printer to do away with cartridges! They say it uses more ink initially so you’ll see the 4 levels drop after initialization from the top line, but any subsequent new bottles of ink will not do that. I can already tell it’s faster than my old printer and I like how easy it is to set up using Epson’s app! Highly recommended for those wanting to save on ink!

Very easy to use the printer. The only two things that I would love to have to have extra paper tray to this printer and the screen display is small and I am used to touch on the display instead of using the keys. But overall, it is nice to have large supertank for the color inks.

Love it. Easy to set up. For home office use. Quality of prints is excellent. Have made a decent number of copies and if I would have been using my old cartridge printer, ink would have gone down half by now. Ink level still almost full.

Have only used the printer a few times so far but the Eco Tank seems to make sense. Have printed color document, B&W documents - all are of good quality. Set up was easy, have it configured as a wired network printer, setup on Windows 10 computers easy, the Linux computer even found the printer when it came on line.

Outstanding value! Print speed is excellent! Not having to buy cartridges ever 2-3 months is a huge convenience. Ink is very easy to add to the reservoir as well. I tried to use this printer with a Windows 11 Home system that has a Snapdragon Elite AMR-64 chipset. The printer worked fine, but the I couldn't get the scanner to work. Scanner works well with Windows 11 with Intel and AMD chipsets. So i deducted one star. Quality is excellent and the footprint will fit in a fairly small space. I can recommend to anyone not using the Snapdragon chipset.

This printer is doing great so far! It isn't super fast, but it fits my needs perfectly. I really like that the ink won't dry out like the cartridges do in other printers. It takes up only a small amount of space in my tiny office.

Printer ink cartridges drove us to look for a better option. After some research, we centered onto Epson. We chose this model because we did not necessarily need a touch screen.
So far (+6 mo of pretty heavy use)... printing has been easy for normal weight papers. Card Stock puts up a little more of a fuss. Placing the shorter stack in the tray slightly forward. Not pushing it all the eay back. Make sure to fan the stack too. It really makes a difference with card stock.
Mass printing of full coverage. Watch the finished sheets. Discolored lines will show up on sheets. That is a marker that it is time to clean the printer head via the maintenance selection. So far that is the only thing that is a minor annoyance. It has only jammed up 3 times so far. And I have printed 3500 sheets.
Copies are good. Scans are also good. Wireless printing is amazing. Being able to print from my phone is a game changer when I find some random recipe online.
This printer has been great for us. Overall it has been significantly cheaper to operate due to the bottles of ink we can purchase vs the cartridges that have increased in cost and hold less ink then in the past.

I've owned this printer for 10 months and have printed pictures, flyers, and random items and my ink levels are at or slightly above 3/4 full. For all the printing I've done, I would've easily replaced my cartridges at least 2 times with my old HP 8600. This printer pays for itself in the ink savings and the print quality is excellent! I'm super happy with this purchase and highly recommend it!!

Very easy to set up using a phone app. I was able to connect wireless right away using my windows laptop, but have issues wireless printing from a mac book; I would have to use the USB.
The quality of the prints are great. Photo printing using the phone app is slightly muted and some images come out dark; no option to correct this. But for home photo prints, this is a great printer.
The cost of the printer is well worth it compared to a printer that takes cartridges.

Very easy to setup, to connect to my phone and to use manually. Print from laptop easily and quality of copies is very good. Photos on photo paper excellent quality. Would recommend for sure just based on those things. I haven’t even mentioned that the ink level is still the same.

My only complaint is noise it makes. I'm still not used to it and it's loud as it starts off. Print quality is good and speed is great. I wasn't here wher tech installed it so missed basics like how to turn it off. The fact that u have to push 2 buttons took a bit to figure out. Overall we like it very much.

Overall, the ET-3850 seems to be a pretty good value for double-sided, color printing. I did have some initial problems with the WiFi connection, but that may have been more about the signal strength than the printer. The flat bed scanner works great. I haven't used the automated document feeder.

We have been an Epson user for many years and have seldom have any problems with any Epson printer. We use this printer for our home and seldom run off large amounts, this printer prints super fast and the prints are very clear. We had our last Epson printer for over 7 years and only replaced the ink 2 times. The cost is a bit more than some of the other printers, but I don't mind spending a bit more to have good quality.
