We have always used a black and white laser printer of another brand. We have always held off on purchasing a color printer because the laser versions have expensive cartridges for replacement. However, in comparing charts printed with this machine to an office jet, the colors aren't as vibrant or crisp. I would consider replacing this with a color laser printer in the future. We are using Epson premium paper. The setup took a while, no issues, but it wasn't as seamless as our black and white lasers have been.

Scanner needs some work

Not a laser but still prints pretty decent speed. The quality seems nice, too.

Don't buy if you scan alot

The downside of this unit for me was that it seems to need updates quite often and disconnects from my network (I'm totally wireless) nearly every day. To wireless scan you have to reconnect each day unless you can scan to email or the cloud. Also, the bed for scanned pages is pretty shallow and will sometimes push completed pages out.
