Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the EcoTank ET-4850's print quality, ease of use, and straightforward setup. Many appreciate its compact size. While some users find the noise level a bit high and have experienced challenges with the document feeder and scanning functions, the positive feedback on printing and ease of use outweighs these concerns for most. A few customers also mentioned the printer's price point as a potential drawback.

Good quality prints, and easy setup. Love the less expensive eco-tank ink. Easy to use, not a geek type setup required.

I really like this printer! I come from an HP printer and this one is so much simpler to set up and use. I like the simplicity and cost of the ink bottles, rather than my HP instant ink program and cartridges. I love that it scans directly to OneDrive! I think it's a little bit louder than my old HP, but not significantly, and not a problem. Would definitely not go back to my HP!

The Best Printer I Have Ever Owned!

Epson ET-2650 has been my favorite printer for years and it never failed me. I only had to purchase the black ink once and the colors one time which really impressed me. We needed a fax machine, but I didn't want another piece of equipment in my home office, so I found this ET-4850 printer and made the purchase immediately. It has easy set up either wireless or wired but I chose to set my 4 computers (2 PCs and 2 Macs) plus my iPhone wireless. I then downloaded my drivers from the Epson website because my computers do not have disc drives. The Ink bottles is impressive due to their size. They are bigger than for the ET-2650 because the inkwells hold more, which should last for a couple of years. Plus, the loading of the ink in the well is so much easier with this printer. It is easier to make copies and scanning with the ADF or on the platen which looks perfect at all quality settings. Of course, higher resolution scans, as with prints and copies, take longer than at lower quality settings including producing double sided documents, but this is not automatic. With this printer you have to print one side then turn the paper over and print the other side. Impressive stats • Print speeds up to 15.5 ppm black and 8.5 ppm for color • Scan resolution up to 1200x2400 dpi • Print resolution up to 4800x1200 I like that I am not contributing to a land fill with ink cartridges every time I turn around. Epson makes it easy enough to afford ink. As for the Ink bottle I make sure all the ink goes in the wells before recycling them. This is the first printer that I have purchased with the paper tray on the bottom. Most of mine have been in the back where the paper stands up. I am happier where the paper is located on this printer. Loading is so much easier, and the paper catch tray is so much better. I'm waiting for my digital land line to be installed before i can give a review on the fax. From the instructions you can fax to another fax machine of course, email, file, or the cloud. I can't wait to try it out. Immediately register your product on the Epson website for the warranty to take effect. Warranty: Parts 2 years Labor 2 years Being a Best Buy Protection member, I was given 24 months free. Of course, my electronics along with other items always come from Best Buy. *Bottom Line* This is best work horse printer that I have ever owned. I will continue to purchase Epson Eco printers in the future but for now I'm 1000% happy with my purchase. Every printer has things that someone doesn't like but maybe it didn't work for them. I would recommend this printer to everyone. This printer will last me for years to come. My Epson ET-2650 will go to my granddaughter for her schooling. It should last her years.

    Great Printer—Ink Lasts Years

I replaced my 6-year old Epson EcoTank ET-4750 printer with this new ET-4850. The new ET-3850 is just as good, but I needed the fax capability of the 4850. Print quality is really good and the ink lasts years at my fairly high print volume. I highly recommend if you hate messing with ink and paying high dollars for those small capacity ink cartridges. My old model served me well for years but toward the end I had to frequently clean the feed rollers. 5-Star rating is well deserved! PS…. I bought it on sale for about $150 off the regular price, so the value was great.

Relatively easy to set up - filling from bottles is a real improvement over cartridges. The print quality and print speed are very good. I especially like the smaller footprint of the ET-4850 - great for our "small" home office. While "fax-ing" is becoming a thing of the past, we still like to have the capability in the printer - this was a plus in buying the ET-4850!

Found it very easy to setup and linking it to my cell phone. Like the idea of having the ink storage pose to having replace costly cartages, also nice having the paper tray on the ET-4850 hidden on bottom pose to having paper sticking up in the back of printer, also holds a lot more sheets of paper then my old printer did. also, very pleased with the print quality.

I am a student who does a lot of printing. I found myself spending a lot of money on ink cartridges. The Epson EcoTank printer was easy to set up with simple instructions carried out by using my cell phone. The print is professional-looking. I have printed a couple of hundred papers and the ink level has barely budged.

This is an awesome printer! Whether you're a student or working from home, this is a must have. It was easy to set up and initiate an account with Epson. It is smaller than its cousin, The EPSON 3640. The prints come out well and it's a lot quieter.

We've had this printer in our business for over a month and it is nothing short of perfect. Honestly, I don't know what took us so long to buy it...we use it daily and the ink has barely moved. It prints fast, it has no wifi connection issues, the color is good and it is small and light and easy to move around if necessary. I'm buying one for my house next because I love it so much

Epson did us all a favor when they made this printer. Simple hook up and doing updates when you connect it to your network. or your computer. Great idea for the ink and will enjoy not purchasing overpriced tanks all the time. Produces a brilliant photo picture. Text is as you would expect. Nice and sharp and color is spot-on. The display is a bit small for my eyes and fingers to navigate touch menu however, is workable. Replaced a 5 year old laser printer and required much smaller amount of space on our desk top.

Got this to replace my HP Color Laser Jet that died. For what I print, this is perfect. Great quality and fast. The scan and copy applications are terrific. Having the ink tanks is very nice. You can see how much ink is in the system and fill when you need to. It comes with a complete set of ink and one bottle fills each tank. For a simple All-in-One for home or small business use, you can’t go wrong!

This is a good little printer, it has a lot of really useful functions. It it great on ink. It is smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. I print a lot of art and photos and the quality wasn’t as good as I had expected. Just everyday and text printing is fine.

I was skeptical at first. Being an HP fan for years, we bought an HP to replace our old Brother. We could not get the HP to hold the WiFi. After 4 hours on the phone with HP customer service, I gave up. Sent the HP back and really researched new printers. The Epson EcoTank is a win-win for us. It was very easy to set up, and the idea of no more printer cartridges is HUGE. The ink tanks on the Epson we super easy and clean to fill. We were up and running with this printer in a matter of minutes.
