Customers have good things to say about the EcoTank ET-4850's print quality, ease of use, and straightforward setup. Many appreciate its compact size. While some users find the noise level a bit high and have experienced challenges with the document feeder and scanning functions, the positive feedback on printing and ease of use outweighs these concerns for most. A few customers also mentioned the printer's price point as a potential drawback.

Best I can do right now. Have had a few paper jams and issues with 2 sided printing. Setup was fairly easy and it works good otherwise. The paper jams seem like they could become problematic in the future if it persists. Would recommend to this point.

Don’t know why I waited so long to try Epson. It’s every bit as good as the competitor at a much lower price per page and I do t have to keep buying replacement cartridges that always seem to run dry so quickly. Highly recommended.

This printer was so easy to set up. We set it up for wireless use. At first there was a delay before the documents printed, but with an update, that took care of the problem. Filling the ink tanks was simple and very clean.

NO INK CARTRIDGES!!!!! This is the future of sensible printing. The print quality is terrific. The set-up is simple. Scanning is easy. I only have great things to say about this printer.

Its pretty good overall but we really wanted the scanner to work and when hooked up just to WiFi it was disappointing. Luckily your Tech in the field, Cesar did a great job helping me with a cord so we could just hook it up to the router & use another epson scanner option on our computer that works with our new printer. Cesar saved the day for us.

The tank concept is great. After you get over upfront cost, ink is cheap and there is no need to conserve and limit printing like I’ve done in the past. Connectivity for simple printing can be difficult with different devices, connecting for scanning is all but impossible. I just “scan to email” to bypass directly scanning to Mac which is an issue with multiple pages (larger attachment size documents). I’ve only scanned a few documents through the ADF but the few times I’ve tried, it has jammed with as little as 5 increased sheets. If you plan on printing photos, this is definitely not the answer. Photo prints come out washed out looking. Simple document printing looks great though. No complaints there.

My first tank color printer. Seems to be working well thought set-up took an incredible amount of time. I finally gave up trying to connect via an US-B cable and went with wireless connection which seems quite stable. It does take a while to wake-up and print wirelessly but the print quality is very good.

Large ink tanks that will last me a long while.. This is the 1st wireless printer that we have purchased and my wife loves the fact that she can print from her tablet or her phone. I have printed some pictures as a test and the quality is great on photo paper. Prints quickly without me getting out of my recliner.

Question about installation service

Printer worked well once I got it installed. Did not like the fact that I had to pay a subscription fee to Geek Studio to get the installation completed. Considering that I am a Geek Squad member and purchased both a new Mac computer and an Epson printer from Best Buy this year, the added money seems a bit over the top

I had to purchase a new printer for school when my Canon one died. I had been looking at the Epsom Eco tank printers for awhile and took a chance. It was a good investment. Colors are bright and with all the papers I had to print for classes, printer still has 3/4 tank for each ink color. Ink is much cheaper than it was for my Cannon printer too.

This was a replacement for my Epson WF-845 that served us well for nine years. The print head was reaching the point were it needed to be cleaned after every 10 pages or so. I love this one just about as much. The printing is very sharp, the ink, of course, is much less expensive and "idiot proof" for filling (do read the instructions first!!!) and the scanner features are nice, too. Automatic duplex printing works great and the print speed is quick enough for our needs. It's quite a bit smaller than the old WF-845 it replaced, and as a result, looks nicer on the office table. The scanner ADF works well, albeit a little finicky and will occasionally grab two pages instead of one (the old one would do this sometimes). The only thing it doesn't do, that I wish it would do, is automatic 2-sided scanning. I do miss that from my old WF-845, but unlike the old WF, the optical character reader (OCR) works much better; it doesn't assume everything is written with Chinese characters, so it's nice to be able to scan to searchable PDF. Scanning photos from the coverglass works well too. I even used the FAX once (probably my one FAX of the year). Very happy with that. In all, I'm very happy with the purchase and highly recommend the ET-4850 if you need a new home/home office printer.

Good print quality, seems to sip ink, and no problem with large print jobs (I frequently run jobs with 40+pages and and also run thicker shipping label stock have yet to have a jam). Copying also works fine.
The screen is pretty weak but does the job. For the money I was surprised to get a screen manufactured in 2002. Lol.
All in all I like the printer and would recommend it.
