Customers have good things to say about the EcoTank ET-4850's print quality, ease of use, and straightforward setup. Many appreciate its compact size. While some users find the noise level a bit high and have experienced challenges with the document feeder and scanning functions, the positive feedback on printing and ease of use outweighs these concerns for most. A few customers also mentioned the printer's price point as a potential drawback.

Returning this printer. Print quality is good although the printer sounds ancient. The big problem is that the feeder doesn't work. It keeps saying that there is a paper jam but there isn't. And the documents in the feeder have not moved so there couldn't be a paper jam!

Prints great from a phone. Hates my computer. Endlessly frustrating. When we thing it’s fixed, it comes up with another excuse of why it can’t print.

This is my first Epson EcoTank All-In-One printer and I have used all of its capabilities with the exception of faxing due to the fact that I don’t have a landline. I really like it and haven’t had any issues with it.

This is a highly-rated printer and has the features I was looking for in a printer. Setting up was very easy, and not using cartridges was a plus. Unfortunately, it would *not* print either individual postcards or sheets of Avery postcards. I also wasn't able to print 8.5 x 14. I tried printing the postcards on regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper, and the letters printed but filled only about a 2-inch space! When changing the size of the paper I had to change it on the printer--changing on the Epson app and in the print set-up didn't work. I have a MacBook pro. I didn't try using the ADF. Unfortunately, I was frustrated and returned the product

Bought it, took it home, returned it the next day. For a $400 (or $550) printer, the text and scan quality weren't acceptable for business printing. I adjusted the print settings to use Best quality and used Epson Bright White Pro Paper, and the text quality still was choppy and ragged at the edges compared to my 10 year old HP OfficeJet that I was looking to replace. I tried scanning at the highest res, and the scanned documents were also worse than the same documents I scanned a year ago with the OfficeJet. If you use this printer for school papers, etc, it should be fine. But if you are printing business proposals or the like, you will probably want them to look as professional as possible, and I wouldn't recommend this printer for those purposes.

it prints, it's easy to set up, like the ecotanks.. but.. Unless you're printing on glossy paper it's hardly impressive quality. prints two sided automatically.. does not scan two sided automatically.. again for the cost that is a very bad miss. over all.. it's OK.. but I'm not impressed at all.. looking to return it after Christmas.

I like the printer. But it's way overpriced considering it's lack of features. The older and much cheaper Epson that this replaced printed on CD's, had a duplexing sheet feeder and a rear auxiliary feed.
The printer driver has no options for printing on labels.
