Love the Ink System, but the Printer Still Sucks

Easy to fill with absolutely no mess at all and the cost is sooooooo much lower than HP Inkjet ink. We also like its small footprint. But otherwise, it's been nothing but problems for us. The clarity of the copy just sucks -- even after repeated attempts to align the print heads. Fuzzy, jags in lines, etc. Makes it VERY difficult to see small fonts. The USB port is buried inside the back of the machine, making it impossible to use some connectors due to the recessed port and the bulky housing around it. And even after purchase of a connector that physically works, I can't get the printer to send a PDF file through the connector after scanning. It runs through it's routine, but doesn't send the scanned file through the connector. No error message either. The printer constantly indicates "the wrong sized paper has been inserted" when it's Office Depot's standard thickness 8.5 x 11 inch paper! This happens about 20% of the time. And perhaps the most frustrating problem with the printer is it's constant error message that it is 'Out of Paper', even though there are 100+ sheets in the carrier, pushed up nicely against the back stop. Another problem is the exit tray. It's very flimsy and eventually starts dumping pages on the floor. Overall, if I could give the printer a "0" I would. Confined to a wheelchair, I really have tried to find a way to accept its other problems. But after five months, we've finally had enough and are going to return it. Still not sure whether a different Epson model might work. I love the ink system, but the rest of the printer's problems are just too great.
