Love the eco tanks. Saved a lot of money by not purchasing ink cartridges. This is the 4th one that I have had in the last three years. They don't seem to last for long before showing error messages. As a Total Tech member, this is not a problem in that they are replaced without cost during the two year warranty period. Just a little inconvenient.

Just got it, but I'm pleased with it so far. Not many all-in- ones have fax anymore, which is one of the reasons I bought this one. I'm hoping the refillable ink tanks prove economical. Screen is a little small, but it pops out for easier reading.

This is the best, most efficient, easiest-to-set-up printer that I have ever owned. I used to be an HP snob and only buy that brand, but I'll only purchase Epson printers from here on out.

Love this printer so much. I don't have to worry about saving ink or paper anymore like I used to with my other printer. The colors are great on the paper and once you learn the interface it's perfect. Scanner works great too.

This machine is absolutely a diva when it comes to Wi-Fi integration.
It simply will not stay connected to my Wi-Fi network while every other device works.
Most of the time it tells me my Wi-Fi password is incorrect despite the fact that the other devices on the network connect with the same password.
When I attempt use the set up wizard or anything menu related about 80% of the time it says the printer is busy and to try again later, even though there is nothing in the printer queue, and the printer has not been in use.
If you purchase this printer be prepared to wear out the power plug for the number of times you have to unplug it to reset it.
Finally, when it manages to print, the printer takes a minimum of 2 to 4 minutes to spool before it even starts printing. For reference, our old Brother laser printer would spool up within 3 to 5 seconds.
Allegedly the Epson workforce line has a more robust WiFi chip inside.
Final considerations. The print quality is very good. The app works pretty well for scanning photos and other things. We were just unsuccessful in getting it to execute the most basic function of actually printing documents consistently.

Easy to set up, just follow the steps on the phone app. Print speed is faster than I expected

This all in one does all I need. It has a scanner, faxes, and document feeder for double sided copies. The big news is how much money using the tank ink saves me over other printers that use Cartridges.

Bought this to replace an HPinkjet we had constant problems with. This printer works great and should save us money on the cost ink over the long run. Love the Ecotank.

Great printer. This is my second one and it’s amazing how little ink it uses. My other printer got fried during a thunderstorm and I purchased this one to replace it. Didn’t add any ink for 23 months of use.

After my previous HP printer mangled yet another important document in its document feeder, I embarked on a journey to find a new home printer. HP was off the table after too many mangled documents and endless demands for ink subscriptions. I had heard good things about Epson but had never owned one before. After a lot of research, I selected the ET-4950 due to the reviews, capabilities, and the supertank ink capability. The supertank printers get rid of the annoying ink cartridges and replace them with high capacity reservoirs of ink that lasts a long time. I was very much looking forward to my new Epson printer.
Unfortunately, my first Epson experience has been horrible. This printer looks great, has a small footprint, lots of capability, and is built extremely well. When it does print, the prints look nice. The scanner worked pretty good as well and never mangled any of my documents. That's about all I can say was good about the device.
The printer setup can be done on the machine or via the Epson app. I tried the app and it took me 3 attempts and 90 minutes to get the printer set up. It was painful. Adding the ink was easy and I like the bottles, but I struggled to get the printer to connect wirelessly. After 3 resets, I was successful. Once connected, printing was easy and the quality good. The BIG problem was once the printer went to sleep (I found no way to prevent it from sleeping) you could never print to it again without power cycling the printer. I tried from 3 Macs, 1 PC, and 2 iOS devices. Nothing worked. If you touched the screen, the printer woke up and showed that it was on, but would not respond to any wireless print inputs unless power cycled. Half the time you woke it up, the screen displayed an error that stated "Device restarted due to a system error". I saw this error a LOT. I made sure the firmware was updated, I had all the correct drivers, and even reset the system completely twice without fixing the issue. A printer that I can't print to without power cycling it is useless to me. The real kicker was my wife, who runs a small home business, calling in the middle of the day demanding the printer needed to go as she was ready to push it off the table. The Epson was returned and I went with a Brother supertank printer which has worked flawlessly so far. I do not recommend Epson until they figure out the issues.

Printer was easy to set up and is easy to use. The ink bottles are easy and makes no mess when filling the ink tanks.
