Great printer and print quality. Challenging Epson software and installer. Installed on 2 Macs, 2 iPhones, 1 iPad and a PC. Never the same experience twice. Eventually got it all to work but the Epson folder ends up with 11 different programs (like Epson Scan2, Epson ScanSmart, Epson Scan2Utility, etc.). Confusing and not elegant.

So far I’m very impressed. My a-few-years-old Epson Expression printer stopped printing, so I decided to replace it with an ink tank unit. Setup was a breeze with Epson’s excellent documentation, not to mention there are many related YouTube videos on the subject. The large display is bright and easy to use. I do print photos and this printer does that job so well, but it also does a decent job on documents. Wireless printing is a snap from my Windows 11 desktop and Windows 10 laptop as well as with all our iOS devices. I also scan to my computers fairly often and the Epson scan app on Windows works well. I had considered getting the large scale 8550 instead but I decided it would take up too much space on my desk. Overall, I am very pleased with the 8500.

Love the refillable ink tanks. Color is okay. The Bluetooth connection is spotty and the apps suck. Sometimes the printer will not communicate with my Chromebook at all & says offline no matter what I do. Scanner makes all my documents look dark and the paper look grey. Super unimpressed with the scanner. I miss my old Cannon I had 10 years ago with like 9 ink colors. The tech was too old to work with new laptops... Boo. I got a newer Cannon 5 yrs ago with 5 tanks that was a little better than this one until it broke. Not impressed, but it works for the most part.

I love my Epson EcoTank® Photo ET-8500! This is my go-to printer for all my creative projects. The EcoTank system is a game-changer—I no longer constantly run out of ink like with my Epson XP-15000, which was not only faster to drain but also more expensive to refill. The print quality on the ET-8500 is outstanding, and the ink lasts so much longer, making it much more cost-effective. I highly recommend it for anyone tired of overpriced cartridges and looking for a reliable all-in-one printer!

Easy to setup and use, great print quality on different paper types and sizes from a wide variety of input options. Copying and scanning functions are also very good. Its apps work well too. The only issue is that some of the plastic parts aren’t as high quality as you would expect at this price point

I needed to replace my photo printer and found a great price on the Epson ET-8500 at Best Buy. It meets all my needs. Prints from my phone, my wife’s laptop wirelessly, prints documents front and back, and prints high quality photos. Geek Squad helped with setup questions. I’m very pleased.

no problems so far, easy setup after downloading from internet the drivers needed. Easy to fill the ink containers and the ink has lasted well. Had to add some refill to the regular black ink but that was expected. The print quality has been very good. Printer seems reliable. I hope it lasts.

Wow, this is my first ink tank type printer and I love it. I've printed about 100 pages of black ink and seven 8x11 photo paper prints. The ink tanks are still around 90% full! Not to mention it is fast and pretty quiet.

I love this printer. Used to have a canon and it was terrible. The ink is so beautiful, it’s easy to use, every print comes out exactly how I want it to.

Exceptional printer. I was torn on making a decision with so many available printers out there but so pleased. Colors on photos are unbelievable and everyday use of all the other features are so simple and productive.

So far so good. I have printed small Avery labels with no alignment issues. I have printed Small (10 page) documents with color and black and white content. Printed web pages. And printed borderless photos on glossy paper. My old printer would be screaming for ink by now but I have 3/4 full tanks. Printing has been witless from Mac and PC and iPhones and pads. So far so good!

Easy setup, easy wifi connection to devices and quality prints. I bought this for photos and am pleased with my purchase.

The print quality is good. Ease of use is average. Navigating through the options is more cumbersome. I prefer my old printer more for it's intuitive features.

Wife uses this printer for crafts. She’s always using the printer we’ve had different printers in the past. She loves this printer for clarity easy to use and has great ink capacity.

My first Eco-Tank printer and it’s been great! I first used this on December 21, 2022. Now November 21,2023 and the inks are still above half way, some even higher. I do use them a lot so if you don’t print a lot, it will probably last you longer! Only cons I would say is The rear tray sometimes gets stuck when I try to pull it out. Print quality is amazing and I love how I can print on any device with it.
