So far this is the best multifunction I have ever owned. It prints fast and can copy / scan both front and back automatically. The bonus feature for me was the fact that it automatic extends the paper catch tray so when I forget I don't have to pick the papers up of the floor.

I’m absolutely delighted with this inkjet printer. From the moment I set it up, everything has been smooth and effortless — the print quality is crisp and vibrant, the speed is impressive, and even the noise level is pleasantly low. It’s rare to find a printer that checks all the boxes, but this one truly does. Highly recommended!

Easy set up. The ink bottles are shaped so you can't possibly put the wrong ink in a different color chamber. Quality of printing is perfect. Love not spending money on cartridges every other month.

I have had hp printers for years. After nothing but problems with hp i decided to switch. The Epson fits in nearly the same footprint as my hp all in one. My only issue is that since things work a little different it took me a little time to figure out how all 3 of the trays work. Setup with my iMac, iPhone and iPad was a easy. The only downside is that the photo printing is not quite as good as the hp but for my purpose it is fine.

I love the Eco Tank technology. It's definitely easier and probably more cost effective than cartridge. I also love the 25 pg/per min performance of this printer. The print is crisp and color is on point. Overall, I've been more than satisfied with EPSON business printers. I had a Workforce 845 which lasted for 6 or 7 years until the printer ink pad needed to be replaced, which is why I purchased this EPSON - EcoTank Pro ET-5850 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer. The perfect blend would be to have a hybrid of inkjet and laser so that the ink doesn't run but it's more cost effective than a laser printer.

I'm very happy with my purchase. This printer was so easy to set up and use. It has been very reliable and is pretty powerful for a desktop all-in-one inkjet printer. I highly recommend this product.

I had another EcoTank printer (ET-4850) and must say it was the worst product I've had from Epson. I was reluctant to continue with Epson but I read the reviews of this printer and thought it was a good choice. Frankly, this printer seems to be made well, works great and I've had no issue with it. Of course, I've not put it through it's paces like I'd done over time with the other. If you want a good product don't bother with the one I mention above, step up to the better one as I did. Yes, the price was too high but I bit the bullet!!!

Overkill for my intended use. However, there is a shortage of printers because of the Covid virus and people working from home, so my options were limited as to availability. With that said my initial impression is that this is an excellent printer, albeit really expensive.
I am using the printer to print pictures and the EcoTank system seems to be the way to go.

It uses refillable ink tanks instead of cartridges, which can significantly reduce your printing costs over time. Epson even offers a two-year unlimited ink program with registration. The ET-5850 produces excellent quality prints, with crisp text, vivid colors, and good detail, even on plain paper. You can print from virtually anywhere with Wi-Fi Direct, Ethernet, and Bluetooth connectivity. Automatic duplexing ADF allows you to automatically print on both sides of paper and scan multi-page documents. This printer is bulky and may take up a significant amount of space on your desk. Slightly slower print speed compared to some laser printers.

Ink Never Ends!

I bought this printer several months ago and I wanted to test it to be sure I was able to write a good review on it. When I first bought this printer I was switching from a laser printer and I was not sure if the print speed would be fast enough for what I needed and if the ink was last as advertised. I put this machine to gauntlet. Since the day I purchased this printer in October 2020, I have printed over 9000 pages and I am still using first set of ink bottles that came with the unit (comes with two sets). The page print spend is not that bad and it is not as fast as a laser printer but the saving in ink makes ups for the extra minutes printing my large reports. The printer is little pricey but if you do a lot of printing your cost recovery is in the ink savings.
I do have a couple of issues. 1. This printer is very noisy when it prints. 2. When one of the printer trays runs out of paper it does not automatically switch to the other tray. This for me is a little annoying because I usually use cloud printing to print when I am out of the office traveling and when I return to the office I expect the print jobs to be completed. 3.

Replaced a home based office orimter with this new Epson, and it works better than expected. As tax season began, that meant tons of printing. Fast, no primt issues or jams, and seems to sip the ink.

Fast print and response. Prints full bleed which is a plus, but it doesn't do well printing on glossy paper or I haven't figured it out yet. Definitely not just as easy as putting glossy paper in. The colors aren't as vibrant as I wanted them to be either for flyer advertisement printing.
I do like the refillable ink option, but I haven't had it long enough to do the refill.

Excellent Print and Scan Functions with Windows PC

We've only had this for just over a week and haven't tried photo printing yet, but so far it's been good for color printing and scanning from the ADF. Very fast and even on standard quality, the print is better than our old Canon MX870 on its highest quality setting.
Couple of gripes to be aware of:
1)This printer is natively supported in Chrome OS which would have been great for our kid's school provided Chromebook, however, I have not found a way to select the paper tray and it defaults to Tray 1. Well the printer has 2 high capacity trays but Tray 1 is the only one that supports photo paper (it also does photo paper with a rear pull out tray). So I have letter paper loaded in Tray 2 and 4x6 photo paper in Tray 1. The Windows PC's properly select the tray based on the document being printed, but Chrome OS insists on using Tray 1 no matter what. And I haven't found a way to manually select a tray.
2) We have a Ubiquiti Unifi mesh wifi network. When setting up the printer, it offered me each access point individually rather than picking the best one which is literally 4ft away from the printer. After selecting that one, it claimed to connect, but the printer remained offline. After power cycling it did connect and worked for several days with no issues. Today, however, I went to print and it was showing offline again. Could not get it to reconnect without power cycling. This is troubling and could be a real nuisance if it keeps happening.
Net result, if the network issue doesn't become a recurring problem, the printer has great features, print quality, and speed. Plus the Ecotanks make for super low cost printing. There's a lot here to love.

I like the auto receiving tray ejection so the receiving tray does not get dusty. The 500 page blank paper feature is real nice. The ease of removing jammed paper from the auto feed scanner is so much nicer than my last one. The bigger touch screen is easier to use.

I bought this printer a few days ago for our small office. I have known for a while that the Epson product can product high quality image based prints but this model Epson Eco Tank ET-5850 can do it all and I am officially a fan.
