Epson Presents an Epson Production

I've always been very intrigued in "at home" projectors. So when I had the opportunity to grab one and check it out, I jumped on it.
Please welcome the Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-W01 Portable Projector (It's quite the mouth full). A 3 chip 3 LCD projector which is capable of delivering an impressive 300" image. It comes with a remote control and batteries, as well as a power cable and a guide. It's fairly light weight compared to old projectors, not really compact, but not a huge unit either. It's aesthetically pleasing to the eye, simple lines, almost made to blend with the environment. It sports 3 input methods: USB Display, USB media and an HDMI input. There is a knob to adjust the focus and a lever to adjust the angle as well as an on/off button on the top. I'm not going to go into technical details, but let's just say that this projector is packing some high-end components which aren't found in cheaper models.
During my first run I connected the projector to one of my laptops and was quite impressed as to how crisp and bright the picture was. And I wasn't even using a screen yet! The on-screen HUD allows you to adjust the image to your liking, choose an input and play around with other settings (flip the image vertically if you do a ceiling installation). After watching several movies (1080p and 4K) on a decent projector screen, all I can say is that Epson hit a homerun on the image quality. It's close to what you get at the movie theater.
Of course, the surface you're going to project onto is important. From what I have gathered, a white, satin surface with a black background works best. The screen I am using is a manual, retractable screen with a 120" diagonal in 16:9 format. I do not recommend foldable screens as they most often have creases that cast shadows and ruin the experience.
The sound coming out of a tiny speaker on the top is really, really weak and you should really, really, really invest in something that packs more punch. It's more of an emergency speaker, really.
The projector can be mounted on a wall or on the ceiling with the appropriate hardware. Note that it tends to get very hot, very quickly. It's not really a problem as most projectors tend to get just as hot, simply make sure to place it somewhere with adequate ventilation.
The only (minor) issue I encountered was a flash drive which was formatted in NTFS and couldn't be read by the projector. It seems it will only read USB drives formatted in FAT32 (or exFAT). I don't think that anyone should rely on this method of storage for playback anyway as there are better options. A decent, dedicated bluray player or similar is "a must" to obtain the best possible picture. This projector will also be the perfect tool in a work environment for presentations and training scenarios.
Now, as I am somewhat of a scientist myself, I have connected an XBox Series X to it, a gaming rig and of course, a (popular and well-known) streaming device. Everything worked flawlessly. Epson really put in the effort with this projector and it shows.
The bottom line is this: If you want the movie theater experience at home, with a gorgeous image quality, the EpiqVision Flex will do just that. Pop some corn and enjoy the show. You won't regret it.

Purchased this on an hour's notice in Atlanta when the venue for the big 7th birthday party she worked so hard to plan for her husband did not have an available projector for the slide show she spent weeks putting together. Setup was super easy and the projector had plenty of light for an outdoor tent setting.

I have been using Epson projectors for a few years now, and i've had the opportunity to try out quite a few. And I have to say, they have been making strides to make owning and using their projectors, a very easy and enjoyable experience. Let's just get this out of the way. Opening the box, you'll get greeted with the projector, the power supply.a redesigned remote control and a couple AAA batteries that I just recommend you disguard and never use. They're very cheap.( If you have no other choice, but I'm sure you do,) Use them until you can get to the store to grab some name-branded batteries. I say this because you really want the best for this gorgeous machine. You can already tell from the 5 star review, that I'm really loving what I've experienced, so far, and I don't see that changing. What makes this differ from the previous versions, is the design. They've made it easier to make your quick setups happen without much trouble, by putting vital ports on the side to allow for quick and easy access for plug and play scenarios. Looking at my photos, you can see that they've moved the HDMI and USB ports to the side so you can quickly connect your gaming system, PC, streaming devices, etc, without it interfiring with the power supply in the rear. Everything used to be in the rear, but now it's only the power jack and a strategically walled 3.5 mm aux jack( I really like where they put that jack.). The design is aesthetically pleasing from previous iterations also. The picture quality is fabulous. I've watched football and baseball games on it in the courtyard of my apartments. My neihbors love it, btw. Playing video games is a treat also. I could write a book on how much I love this projector, but just know that it's my favorite one so far. And I didn't even talk about how well the internal speaker works.Mmmm Baby!

I’m really impressed with the Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-W01. The picture quality is bright and clear thanks to the 3-chip 3LCD technology, even in rooms that aren’t completely dark. It’s super easy to set up, lightweight, and truly portable, which makes it great for both home entertainment and work presentations. The built-in speaker is convenient for quick use, and the large screen size makes movie nights and meetings feel immersive. Overall, it’s a reliable, high-quality projector that delivers excellent value for the price.

Super solid product, great option, good quality, great picture image. I purchase to use as a home entertainment and its amazing so far, bluetooth compatibility. Preferably use on light colors or white walls. Not negatively to say, only concern , it does get really hot, where the fan blows. So i wonder about it durability using it for movies and games, when its meant for office purposes lol. 100% recommend

Bought this after considerable research for backyard movie nights. I paired this with a HDMI splitter/audio extractor which took care of the biggest shortcoming of the design- pack of audio out and only a single HDMI input. This was purchased mainly due to it's exceptional brightness, we previously had a very cheap Vanyo that worked, if you were ok waiting until 10pm or so in the summer, Central New England, for out to be complete darkness so you could make anything out. This projector for laughs I tried in the backyard a half hour before sunset, it looked like crap but it was actually bright enough that I could see what was going on By dusk I lowered the brightness to "Eco" mode and it looked great. This isn't remotely close to a $3k laser projector or an OLED TV by any means, but to have for movie nights in the backyard I am extremely happy with this $300 purchase

It's great quality as a projector, anything else, not so much. It's insanely bright which is a plus for some people and not so much for others. Speakers are the worst and it doesn't claim to be bluetooth, meaning no airplay/casting or adding another remote/streaming product but for the price its ok. Heats up pretty fast as well. $200 is not terrible but a cheaper option might be viable for different needs.

I was looking for a projector that I could use during my work meetings without turning the lights off. I also wanted it to double as a family movie projector. This projector works well in highlight and low light settings. I definitely feel like it was worth the price. I have zero regrets with buying this projector. If you need something with super high resolution, or if you are really techy then this may not work for you. But is basic enough for office use, and home use..
The only thing I don't like is that it did not come with the wireless stick that is needed to make the projector wireless. But I can live with that.

This projector is excellent. I have it paired with a 100" screen and the quality is great. If I put the projector at an angle to the screen the quality isn't as good, but that is all projectors.
Another great thing about this specific model of projector (Epson - EpiqVision Flex CO-W01 Portable Projector) is that it does not have any of the smart features that analyze the content on your screen.

The picture quality is great. but there is no port for external speakers so I had to purchase an HDMI splitter to streamline the sounds to external speakers. There is some cord management that will have to be done.
Overall, I'm please with the picture quality and its also pretty accurate with my gaming systems.

Bought primarily to use for outdoor evening movies with kids. For the price, couldn't beat it. Dusk was plenty dark enough to see it. Obviously, 2 in the afternoon wouldn't work too well, but at this price you shouldn't expect that.
One note: no standard speaker output. Luckily we use a Chromecast that connects to a Bluetooth speaker system.
