This product is outstanding. I can highly recommend it. It is solid and well designed functionally. I do have some admittedly older multi-function printers and they perform scanning functions very well. But this device is super-fast; meaning only a few seconds to scan a page from initiation of the scan request to when the copy is available in your device. You can scan to a computer or from your cell phone. Either method has software that is flawless and intuitive. Use the Epson ‘ScanSmart’ Software on a PC or download the Epson ‘DocumentScan’ app for your phone. When you initiate a scan on the device while connected to a PC, the software will pop open and you easily complete your scan. On a phone just open the software and connect wirelessly to the scanner and you scan can be done in a few seconds. There are no glitches I could find. I particularly like using the phone and sending the PDF to my email or gmail account and I’m done. I do use this scanner a lot to submit online medical forms that come to me hardcopy. With this tiny portable device I have saved a lot of time since wherever I am in the house I can scan the document in using my phone, and not worry about losing the receipt on my kitchen table which is a mess I admit. Later when I get to any of my computers I can look it over and upload it to the medical site for re-imbursement. No chance for me to lose the hardcopy document which sometimes I do – this device has eliminated my human error that others may not have. You can save the scan into Word, Powerpoint, etc. or even attach it to an email all under the free Epson ‘ScanSmart’ software. I use the Mozilla Thunderbird email client and the Epson software magically opened my email client and created a new email with the pdf from the scan attached – how cool is that. You can also elect to save to Dropbox or Evernote etc. You may have to download a plug-in to make some functions work; however the software just asks you if you want to download the plug-in and takes over and does everything, so it is easy. It is a single-sheet feed device so you may want to use your mulit-function printer for doing scans of many-page documents. Small business users will want to take advantage of the Epson ScanSmart Accounting Edition Software, with receipt management functionality. This allows you functions like exporting receipts to Quickbooks for example and many other advanced accounting document management tools. It is so small you can take it with you on business trips and vacations and you can’t do that with a full size scanner or multi-function printer. All operations of the software on the phone or on the PC worked everytime, no confusion or fuzzy areas. This is a very nice product and it is professional. I love it. I think it is one of those must-have products for a home or business environment.

To my mind, two words best describe the Epson ES-65WR portable wireless scanner: shirt pocket. Why? Because it’s about small enough to fit in one, and that is one of its greatest strengths. The unit is just wide enough to scan a full-width sheet of letter-size paper, but it excels at scanning smaller-size sheets, such as receipts, business cards, and the like. The quality of the scanned images is excellent. There is no AC power cord as the unit is charged via a USB connection. It took about an hour to fully charge out of the box. As is often the case with new hardware nowadays, the included instructions are just enough to get you started, and you are directed to a website to download the full user manual and software drivers. These were simple to download and install, the software quickly finds the scanner, and you’re off and running. The unit can connect either with the included USB cable or by wireless, but do note that it is not 5G capable, so any computer you wish to use with it must be connected to a 2.4G network. Scanning is fast, and the included software is useful and versatile with many of the scanner’s settings under use control. There are many scanners out there, including flat-bed, all-in-one, and sheet-feed like this one, and I have used them all. Each has its strengths, and, as I noted, the strength of this Epson is its small size and convenient connectivity. Keep it in your desk drawer until you need it. No need to have it taking up permanent space on your desktop. Pass it around from user to user. Overall, it is highly recommended.

I travel for work fairly often, and I regularly have to capture information that is already printed on documents and receipts. Using the Epson WorkForce® ES-65WR Wireless Portable Document Scanner helps me to stay organized by enabling me to quickly scan information directly to my laptop/tablet where it goes to the folders assigned to store the information. The images are always clear and the software allows me to adjust the resolution during import so I can zoom on documents that require it. The software is easy to setup and use. Have been thoroughly impressed with this device as it's a must have for the on the go lifestyle. If your job has you in the car for various tasks, this is a great tool. Being able to scan receipts, business cards, and documents while in my car or at a client site or eating lunch at a cafe is a great asset. The device is very small and lightweight which is a big plus. The small unit is easy to keep in my laptop bag without weighing it down and still being low profile. Using this is fast and efficient. The scanner can quickly get a single page document scanned through in under 5 seconds. The image quality is very good and the ability to scan them to my preferred location is impressive. The setup process can be a bit cumbersome, but once you can get it set up on your PC it's a breeze. One touch operation and fast scans. Works well over wifi and also with the USB attached to the computer. Be sure to get the app for iOS or Android when you get a chance to maximize this for usage.

This is a nifty little portable scanner. It’s a great tool for a salesman or other business person who is on the road. Setup is super simple. Plug it in to charge and after charging, download the software which goes through the whole setup including registering your device. The Nuance PDF software that comes with it seems to be really good at face value. It allows you to create and combine pdf’s which us something that Adobe charges you to do. It is very user friendly. The unit performs admirably and it only takes a few seconds to scan a page. The clarity of the scans are good, though I am sure there is a setting to take more high def scans. I just haven’t played with it enough to adjust it. The main thing I was worried about was feeding pages through crooked, but I have not had a single problem with alignment or anything of the sort. I am sold on this little gem of a scanner and the software that comes with it.

This little scanner is amazing. It was easy to set up, and the included software suite was easy to use. The process to set it up was quick and straightforward. It includes a USB C cable to attach directly to your computer for charging. This scanner has its own battery, making it completely portable. It can set up to scan using WIFI to your computer or mobile device using a free Epson Document Scan App. Documents can be easily organized using the enclosed software by converting them to searchable PDFs. The battery charge is not super long, but adequate enough to scan sufficiently if you are on the road for the day. For such a small scanner, the scanning process per document as relatively quick, and best of all—it is completely portable. I can take it with me on the road to create instant expense reports. You can also set it up to back up to cloud-based storage, such as Dropbox. My biggest surprise was that it also synced seamlessly with Quickbooks. This is key because it allows me to import receipts directly into Quickbooks, giving me a digital complaint copy of all my expenses, while allowing me to throw away the original receipts.. So convenient and no more lost receipts! If you are looking for a small scanner that is easy to use and portable, I would highly recommend this one! I have been wanting a nice scanner for the longest and this unit came along at the right time. This thing is amazing. The Epson WorkForce ES-65WR is easy to setup and quick and easy to use. I connected it my laptop, downloaded the software, and was up and running in 10 minutes. Seemed to take a bit longer installing software on my Windows 10 computer than it did my MacBook Air. This scanner can be connected via USB cable or WiFi. I connected my scanner to my laptops via USB. There is also a companion Epson app (which was just updated) that you can use to scan in documents, photos, any type of ID/business cards, and especially receipts. Great for those that love organizing and keeping records of receipts (great way to keep up with all those Christmas receipts). Upon saving your scanned items, it gives you the option to save as PDF file or JPEG. Love that option. The Epson ScanSmart software is simple and easy to use. At first I was kinda blah about this scanner because my images were not coming out clear. Then I discovered the tweaks that can be made in the settings of the scanner software. You can change it to detect the different tyoes and length of paper, the DPI, and whether to scanner in color or black/white. Theres also tons of other features and tweaks to change. One of my fave tweaks is Content Skew, as sometimes while scanning, the documents are not aligned as nice, but with Content Skew turned on, it aligns the document after its scanned it and the PDF or JPEG file looks all lined up nice and neatly. The Nuance PDF Converter software is also great to have. I totally recommend this to anyone looking for a nice simple and easy to use scanner. It's very portable and you can't go wrong with this. It scans everything quickly into the computer. Nice way to keep everything on hand and not have so many files, etc, scattered across your office. Print off what you need when you need it.

the Epson WorkForce es - 6 5 WR portable scanner is a very convenient easy to use scanner. I like that the scanner is lightweight, easy to use and fits in my purse for fast on the go organization. I can easily scan my receipts and papers and send copies of my credit cards and ID cards for a fast clean, crisp copy. The setup of the Epson WorkForce es 65wr portable scanner is very easy to set up step by step use. I am very satisfied with the scanner. I have business cards that are easy to scan and send. I enjoyed couponing and it's very convenient to scan and organize my coupons from my laptop or straight from my phone. I am so much more organized. It's very convenient. ---SETUP--- The setup of the Epson scanner requires an internet connection to download the software. After downloading the software, you can just follow the steps to install the product. You have an option of using it without WiFi or with WiFi for wireless scanning. Regardless of your choice, you must use the included USB cable for initial setup. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this scanner is that it is portable, wireless, and has a rechargeable battery. It can scan ID cards, receipts, as well as letter sized documents. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this scanner was impressively fast. I tested both, the wired and the wireless options and I didn’t detect any lag from the wireless option. It was just as accurate and fast as the wired connection. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. I did notice that it’s hard to get a document to perfectly scan, meaning the the document may not look entirely straight. For what I need it for, that’s fine, but it is something to consider if you need perfectly straight scans. Additionally, most of my wireless devices work off from a 5GHz connection. This scanner must be connected via a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection, so I had to switch my computer to that band. Its cumbersome and I’d rather not have to do that, but if you don’t know how to do it yourself, you might not be able to get it to work for you. For this reason, I knock it down one star. Also, seeing as how it is supposed to be portable, it would be nice if a little pouch would have been included to protect it from dust and other miscellaneous debri that may be in your backpack or laptop bag. ---VALUE--- The price for the DEVICE in terms of value is adequate. I didn’t expect to be using it as often as I have been using it. As an educator, I have been scanning essays that I feel could be good examples from students. Since I also travel a lot because I train other educators, the receipt managing system with OCR is very helpful in cataloguing my expenses and submit everything as a PDF searchable document. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who constantly travel and must keep receipts for documentations purposes or for people in the business of scanning the occasional document. If your workplace has restrictions on WiFi, you can still use the USB wired option, which is just as good.

Wow, this little Minnie Mouse works great for documents, especially letter-sized documents, receipts, business cards, driver’s licenses etc....This scanner creates very nice images or PDFs that are clear and concise. It has the main feature of portability, thus if you’re on the go and need documents of importance signed, this is the perfect solution. Setup of this scanner was user-friendly only requiring per documentation from Epson, to go to their website for this model ES-65WR: www.epson.com/support/es65wr and download and install the drivers and utilities combo software package and from there you are go to go. I am especially glad that this unit can be charged via USB which lasts a long time as such, you don’t have to worry about carrying an adapter because it’s USB charged. The software, which has premium accounting features that automatically extracts data from receipts and invoices to Excel and Quickbooks. As tax season nears, this is going to be helpful for me. I am glad that this scanner has the ability to scan files to the clouds as I am a regular user of Dropbox as such, this will come in handy for me. Another feature worth noting is that this scanner can automatically detect whether its in wireless or USB mode. Customary to Epson and their products this scanner is great as I already have an Epson scanner, which works wonderfully. As such, this is no exception because it certainly does what I want, and well.

When I first received the Epson WorkForce ES-65WR I thought something was wrong. The box felt empty . However, it was not. The scanner is that light weight, not even a pound . The Epson WorkForce ES-65WR is a portable Wi-FI wireless color scanner with a rechargeable battery. In review : Build quality – Even though it is extremely light weight , it is solidly built with good fit and finish. All the buttons have good tactile feedback and there is a simple display for Wi-Fi connectivity and battery strength. Installation – Well , this was a mixed bag. You go to the Epson site and download the software. The software guides you through the installation process. I did run into some issue of connecting via WiFi on my Macbook Pro. No matter what I tried, the Wi-Fi connection would time out. There are other options for connecting and eventually I did get a connection but not through the set up process. Performance – Epson claims it will scan a full page in 4 seconds. Amazingly, I was able to get that and better on full color scans. It really did a good job. You can scan directly into a pdf, email, Google drive and a host of other options. Of course this is a single page feeder but the point of this small scanner is portability. The Epson WorkForce ES-65WR is the accounting edition that will take scanned receipts and put it into Quickbooks So is it worth it.? I Absolutely. The scanner is super fast for a portable and you can easily carry it with a laptop. If you do not need the accounting edition software ( which I think most people will not ) the ES-60W will offer the same performance for $100 less. Either way, you cannot go wrong with either version . Epson does it again.

I like that i can take this scanner everywhere I travel and scan right to my smart phone or laptop without the need for power. The provided software is excellent but have not had a chance to test the integration to Quickbooks. I hope that next part will help with my expenses for my business. The scan speed is decent and it handles long receipts well.

The Epson scanner works excellent. It is slim, portable,durable and practical. I use it everyday for scanning documents and receipts. It is very easy to use and the quality is excellent. I scan via WIFI and it is very fast. It has great scan quality. I like the fact that this scanner can be charged and you don’t need any cables. Also this scanner is lightweight, powerful and flexible. Nice divine, but the battery does not last long. After one use the battery is totally dead. I decided to return it.

I've used portable scanners in the past and found them to be clunky and slow. The scan quality wasn't very good either. I need a portable scanner for my work for digitize my documents, invoices and receipts. I think the Epson WorkForce® ES-65WR is a clear improvement on last generation scanners. The unit is lightweight and documents are scanned very quickly. What really differentiates this unit is the OCR capability. This allows you to take documents and create editable files from what you scanned. This saves countless hours for long legal documents such as lease agreements. I highly-recommend this unit for anyone who needs a high-quality portable scanner

This is great--- It is easy to use-- it is light, it is portable and it scans fast. It might have already replaced my regular printer/scanner. It has what it needs to PDF and recognize / convert text-- at least the software that goes with it. Set up requires really reading instructions but is not hard. After that though, it works like any other scanner-- except that it has all the portability that you need. And of course, it is a receipt scanner-- It bites on any thickness of the receipt and scans it like regular paper. It is precise in scanning and it makes it easy. I'm now actively scanning my receipts just because of this. I love it!

Scans only 1 receipt at a time. It's too time consuming but I'm stuck with it.

For a while now I have seen affiliates of my main employer carrying these "pocket" scanners around as they scanned documents directly to their laptops and thought it was nifty, but a luxury. After starting my own business earlier this year I have learned that this is more of a Must Have than a Nifty Toy. After meeting with my payroll company, tax attorney, business attorney, and clients, I had acquired enough paperwork to make ecologists cringe. I carried my laptop in a sleeve and a business binder to organize and store paperwork, but that also meant that I needed a hole punch, stapler, folders, dividers, etc to stay properly organized. After being frustrated with not enough hands to lug all of my necessary items around, I was able to pick up one of these Epson WorkForce scanners. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Although the initial setup was as smooth as driving a pothole riddled road due to it arguing with my internet router, once set up this scanner has been a lifesaver. Now I carry three things when I meet with clients and business partners...my convertible laptop, my Epson Workforce Scanner, and a pen. Any paperwork I need I can scan into my computer, tablet, or cellphone in seconds. Contracts, W9s, or any other necessary documents are easily converted into an editable form that can be completed via electronic means. Copies are CLEAR. And when I say clear, I mean a window fresh out of a Windex commercial. You can not tell the difference that the digital copy was not the original. It is amazing. On top of amazing clarity, the accuracy of this scanner is far superior to others I have tried. Much larger scanners have left me with crooked copies that were frustrating. This scanner scans quick, clear, and true. The software included with this scanner is basic, but gets the job done. You don't have to dig through piles of digital junk to get where you want. Sometimes less is more. And that is definitely what the included software is. Conclusion: If you need to scan on the go and really reduce the amount of equipment you need to carry around to conduct business, this is a MUST HAVE. Very portable, easy to use, and does the job very well. This will simplify your life.
