    Good Unit overall

The projector came well packed and has a soft cover case in the box which makes storage and transportation less of a hassle. Positive points first. The picture is great and it hooked up to a Mac without issue. The unit has built in sound that works pretty well in most circumstances and has very little lag in lip sync. A few items I would improve if possible, I use the projector in hour or so increments and the fan kicks up often. It is pretty loud and the unit gets fairly hot. It has never failed but it does become a slight issue in some cases so it should be noted.

Very quiet. Not too hot. Has a built in speaker that is not so great but is still usable. Bright clear picture that can give over 200 inches within 12 feet from the wall. Not too big and or heavy and excellent build and quality all over.

    Outstanding Projector for the Price

Purchased this to show movies at my daughters birthday sleepover on a big movie screen. It has a great picture through HDMI, although the projector has a speaker I hooked up the projector through the monitor output on the computer and hooked up the computer speakers for much better sound. My son also hooked up XBox One for a Madden Tournament with his friends, outstanding picture. Would definitely recommend this projector to anyone.

Works great, bright display, easy to connect and use. I use this for conferences and the room does not have to be pitch black to be able to see the projections.

When I bought the Epson projector I was already trying to figure out how to return it because I expected the quality to be poor given the low price. Great surprise - it is an excellent machine. Wonderful picture quality.

FAR superior to my Optoma HD65

Optoma 65HD died yesterday so I bought this to replace it. Vibrant colors. Stunning brightness even with room lights on. Fan is just a little louder than I would like. Our screen is 100" diagonal, so the pixels bother my wife just a bit, but I really believe that is because the picture is SO much brighter than with the Optoma that we just notice them whereas with the Optoma we didn't. This is my 3rd projector in 15 years, and by far my favorite!

    Liked it at first but....

This was our first projector and we were initially happy. Decent picture and clear even during the day. High lumens provided bright projection. Great throw ratio - better than most! But after a few uses, we started realizing its shortcomings. Resolution is kinda poor, pixels are noticeable. Screen ratio is poor, light (white) border is much larger than a projected widescreen. And worst of all, NO AUDIO output! Didn't think this was a big deal at first but having no audio output means that anything connected via HDMI can only be heard via the speakers of the projector, which is insufficient. In case you didn't know, any HDMI connection disables a the ability to separately send the audio signal to an external speaker (other than the unit that the HDMI is connected to). This was extremely frustrating and annoying. Basically, the sound experience is so limited that you can only utilize the source's audio output when connected via RGB or RCA video. This projector is best used for presentations/business. NOT optimal for a home theater experience. We returned it and got a projector that has a comparable throw ratio and audio output.

I bought this to complement some lectures I give and I have to say this projector is of superb quality. The image really crisp and clear. I was hesitant about getting it because it is on the bigger side, however I think it was a great buy!

    Nice Projector for conference room

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We chose this projector because our conference room at work has a 4:3 ratio screen. Many newer projectors are only 16:9 so we required 4:3 as a feature. It has all the connections we require and we're happy with the projector. It is being used for PC only at the time.

    Specifications are misleading

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Within the specifications tab for this projector it says its wireless. Well it is but you need to buy an adapter to use it wirelessly. This was one of the main reasons I bought this projector as a gift. It should state this within the specifications tab next to the information about wireless. I just feel it's not quite false advertising but very misleading. The projector is nice.

OK but better value one step up

Couple things I learned the hard way. 1-This projector is only wireless CAPABLE. You must buy the USB LAN adapter to get wireless connectivity for another $100. 2-SVGA graphics are not sufficient for spreadsheets etc and movies are very pixelated. Bought this, took it back and replaced with the EX5220. Spend the extra money--the graphics alone are worth it and the LAN adapter is included to boot. BTW, love the 5220.

Horrible for Movies and HORRIBLE customer service

I do not recommend this product and, after my experience, I will NEVER shop at Best Buy again. I needed a projector to show a film. I walked in and one of the employees told me that this product would be perfect for what I needed. I was excited and, after asking a few question, bought it right away. He also sold me a couple of cables that he said I NEEDED (but I DEFINITELY DID NOT). Well, long story short, I decided to trust best buy and the employees expertise, so I didn't test out the projector until the day I needed it in Michigan. Well, it definitely did not work the way he said it would. I felt like I was watching a picture slide show versus an actual movie. In addition, the money I spent on the cables was a complete waste because the projector came with everything that was needed. Well I called Best Buy and they said I could return the items 16 days after the purchase date since there was no store nearby in Michigan. What a LIE! When I walked in 16 days later, I was told that they could not make an exception for the return despite that they sold me something that clearly didn't work for what I needed it to do. If you need a quality projector, this is definitely not it, and neither is the service at BEST BUY. Well at least not the one located at Harlem and Forest Preserve in Norridge, IL. I hate writing bad reviews but please, just be careful!
