    Pretty Good Business Projector

The Epson EX3260 is essentially a business class projector. It hits all the points one would expect: SVGA resolution (800x600) check. A VGA port check. Only one HDMI input, check. RCA analog inputs, check. It surprises with a couple specs/features: Less than 5.5lbs making for a light carry weight and 3300 lumens of brightness. That brightness tips it into entry level home projector. if you don't already have a giant 1080p TV, I think this would solidly get away with being a home media device. in actual use, it lives up to the specs and then some. Picture quality is great over HDMI, better than i expected from SVGA to be honest. I think it's the projector technology that Epson used. You're not going to want to rely on the projector speakers - that's pretty much just for business presenting purposes. Brightness is great which allows you to use the projector in a room with ambient light. This is a plus, especially if you're going to use it at home as the throw distance doesn't really lend itself for rear projection in a shorter space. In short, this is a really solid projector with surprising brightness and picture quality. Portable and can pull light duty at home.

    Very Good Entry Level Projector

The Epson EX3260 is a good, entry-level projector that is good for use for on-the-road or ad-hoc presentations. It features a very bright bulb with a good throw distance, and I found the projection was quite good in a bright room with lots of windows & outside light. The device features standard inputs for VGA, HDMI, and component cable (with audio), but no “aux” or headphone-style audio in, so for presentations with sound that you wish to play thru the projector you’ll need to use the HDMI option, which isn’t a problem for most major laptops nowadays. It includes a standard VGA cable as well as a USB cable for connecting to the computer to allow you to use the projector remote to control your presentations. And as with every other device on the market, an HDMI cable is NOT included. There are quick access buttons on the top of the device for controlling top-to-bottom keystone, but has a slider that allows you to control the left-to-right keystone. The slider is really nice, as a quick way to adjust the keystone without the annoying menus, and would have liked to see a top-to-bottom keystone slider, as well since that is usually the keystone adjustment you need to make more often (it’s like they thought backwards on this). You can also control zoom, source, and access the menu with the buttons on the top. This is a watered-down version of the Pro EX7260, so there are menu options & remote options referencing WiFi or wireless projection, which is only available out-of-the-box with the EX7260. To allow for wireless projection with the EX3260 you will need to purchase a separate WiFi card, which looks to run about $100. NOTE: The EX3260 comes with a tray to hold the card in place once installed but doesn’t actually tell you what that part is, so don’t just trash it if you intend on purchasing the WiFi card (I don’t know if the card purchase also includes a tray, so better to be safe & keep the part). The device also includes a nylon padded case with strap to carry the device around with you. The one major limitation remains the SVGA resolution, which is a max of 800x600. With most laptops running in the 1920x1080 range, it makes it a challenge to project much other than a PowerPoint since anything shown in a real screen (for example, projecting Microsoft Project to show a time line) causes the text to look blurry & garbled. Switching your laptop to only project to the projector will dumb the laptop down to 800x600, which then projects clearly and sharply on the screen, but with the obvious limitation of screen size once down to 800x600. Bottom line is that this is a good projector to take with you for onsite or ad-hoc presentations. If you’re looking for something to mount & be able to do more with, you may want to consider a projector with a higher resolution. But if PowerPoint is your primary use for the device, it’s a great choice.

We bought this projector for a slide presentation and to hook up with ancestry. If you try to make it big than the words become blurry and not really readable at a distance.

    Great Projector

This is my second Epson Projector in the EX family (I also have the EX3240). We use projectors constantly in a large classroom like setting. The projector provides a bright clear, clean display even in a partially lit room. The image quality is decent with a SVGA res of 800x600. The unit is portable, lightweight, and as I found out with this unit, can withstand a rough environment, thanks to the padded carry case that is included. Multiple sources can be used so that the projector can display split screens. We even uploaded our logo in the projectors memory so that it can be shown whenever the unit is powered up and between videos. The EX3260 has multiple inputs ensuring that whatever you want to project can be projected, however, the unit has no audio out jack and the built in speaker is sub-par making it difficult to provide a full enriching experience. It has a built in pointer, great transitions and zoom features which help during a presentation. I encourage you to utilize the ECO power consumption mode as it saves power, bulb life, and the difference is barely noticeable. This is a great projector for everyday use, has great brightness, easy to use, I would have given it more stars but the lack of an audio jack and its sub-par built in speaker make it difficult for me to do so. I recommend this unit and think it is definitely suitable for smaller to mid size rooms. This is a review for the Epson EX3260 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

This is a review for the Epson EX3260 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Its a nicely built ,portable projector with impressive brightness. it comes with a carrying bag, USB AtoB cable,VGA cable, remote control with batteries and a power cable. Its very easy and quick to setup, I was able to connect to my laptop with the VGA cable and PC with HDMI and I was really impressed with the amazing quality this small thing can project eveb during the day time with some light in the room. I played few videos from youtube. Then I tried playing with the settings and figured out that the WIFI is an option with addon adapter. I swapped the HDMI cable with Amazon fire TV to test some family pictures, videos and games. The projector has an in built speaker which is OK for a small room ,and was able to play the videos for our daughters, and the gaming experience is not that great. The brightness of images is really amazing, they are sharp. The next day I had to do a power point presentation, I used this one instead of my other projector, the remote is very convenient which has a built in pointer I used it for several days at home office for presentations, videos and images. Overall , I like this very much, its a very nice projector with amazing video, sharp images and great presentation quality for the given price.

I have never owned a projector but I have use many of them in a work setting. The one thing I loved about this projector was that it came with a carry case. This makes it very convenient if you have to take it anywhere to do a presentation. The other thing is that it is not very large or heavy. In regards to setting it up, it was very simple to plug in and turn on. All of the necessary adjustments were easy to make as well. All of the needed cables were supplied as well except for an HDMI. The color and brightness were outstanding. My only suggestion would be getting a projector screen rather that using a wall because the image will be clearer.

The EPSON EX series is a great line of portable office projectors... They're packing the 3LCD technology from EPSON so brightness and colors are excellent and throw is good for a projector in this range. The projector comes with a great carrying case and everything you need to take it on the road with you - Whether its portability for field meetings, or its the roaming projector around the office, its well-equipped and geared up for on-the-go, high quality presentation work. The EX3260 I reviewed also has a slot for optional wireless adapter - This would enable Intel WiDi or Miracast capabilities, enabling wireless projection, so if thats an interesting upgrade to you, it should be considered in this model, as this is the first portable projector I've seen to support WiDi... That said my only complaint is that the native resolution of this device is so low... 1024x768 should be a standard for these projectors, so having a native 800x600 made configuration difficult, and the output a bit sloppy. Its also hard with some business machines to get them to scale properly at that resolution, and the emulated resolutions didn't look that great, but the even color and brightness more than makes up for it. On the sound front the speaker (mono) was clear and loud and would lend itself well to replacing the audio source on full AV presentations where laptop speakers just won't cut it. Some laptops though, like the later MacBook Pros, the HP Spectre series, as well as a few others, would fare just as well as this speaker, and offer some semblance of stereo sound. Case durability seemed to be a strong focus of the product team, as this unit feels solid but not heavy. Its large enough that its usefulness goes beyond its portable use case, but only for limited scenarios due to the resolution limits above. All in all an adequate portable rig for the price, and EPSONs quality, peripheral and bulb availability, as well as sleek styling, position this as a good choice.

Was trying to use this for business presentation using computers. looked as if you were trying to project the image on an insect screen like the one covering your back porch, small squares all over the image. Most text was unreadable and images were blurred. Even tried to project a movie from the computer with the same results so i'm not sure just what this projector would be good for. Took it back to Best Buy and traded for the Epson HC1060 and everything was great with that projector. I cannot recommend the EX3260 and think it needs to be recalled by Epson as its not good for anything other than a paper weight.

    Epson EX3260 Projector

This is a review for the Epson EX3260 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have spent some quality time with the Epson EX3260 and here are my thoughts. Starting with controls and ease of use, I find it very intuitive and friendly to the techie or the newb. I was able to get myself up and running in around 10 minutes mines unboxing time. I used it on a flat surface and found it easy to start projecting a video I had running through HDMI. Speaking of inputs, this one has pretty much all of the inputs you could ask for. Usb, component, rca and the above mentioned HDMI were all easy to spot. Picture is the key. The Epson has amazing brightness and it’s the sharpest picture I have encountered yet on a projector. I viewed a movie, tried some fast frame rate video and also my kids video games and it handled them all with ease. It’s a little cumbersome trying to swap all the inputs but I don’t know if that will be a problem for most. Overall this projector has blown away my other more expensive projector and has become our new go to. Also its very quiet and has low heat which has become an issue for our old projector. All in all we have a winner with the new Epson EX3260

Nice projector for portable use. Projection is surprisingly bright, considering the size/cost of this unit. Won’t be able to clearly see it in a brightly lit room, but works just fine with the lights dimmed. Have seen a few other reviews that say it isn’t good for movies, but it’s not built (nor marketed) for such use. That said, I didn’t have any problems watching a movie using it, but you’ll definitely want external speakers. Has plenty of connection options, is lightweight, and comes with a semi-decent carrying bag.
