I thought it would perform better in regular room lighting. Still good but in a school cafeteria with just a bit of lighting it did perform as well as I would have hoped. I think you are partially buying the Epson name as this should be priced around $350 (I paid $500 + tax). Given the minimal features I think the cost should be lower.

This Epson is lower in cost, more compact, no detectable differences in clarity or brightness.

EPSON PROJECTORS

I previously bought an EPSON projector for #900 FROM BEST BUY an to fix it, was a big question? The repair could not be determined if it was the bulb or circuit board.meaning the repair cost was maybe $300 or $700. Because of that situation, I decided to never buy a Projector again. I loss $900 plus shipping for repair to EPSON.

One is directed at the front via projection screen and one too black wall at the back. Both pick up great picture quality. Really nice price for what you are investing in.
