Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Expression EcoTank ET-2700's print quality and ease of use, with many praising its compact size. However, some users found the setup process challenging, and others experienced difficulties with the Wi-Fi connectivity. A few also noted that the printer can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on print quality and ease of use outweighs the negative comments regarding setup and Wi-Fi.

    Great Printer for Household

This Printer is unique to other Inkjet printers I have seen. The installation is very different. Instead of installing the Ink Cartridges you need to fill in the provided Ink from the Ink Bottles into the already non-removable Cartridges inside the Printer Tank. I find it pretty amusing as this is not something day-to-day consumer is used-to. The Instruction Manual is short and neat. The step-by-step instructions with animated photos helps you in the installation Process. The Software Installation is hassle-free. You just have to click Next>Next>Next till you finish until and unless you want to setup the Wifi connection. Though it is quite easy too. You need a USB Cable for the very first time to setup (Not Included in the Package). It has been a couple of days I have been using this Printer and I am impressed. There might be some lag very rarely while printing via Wifi connection but the Print quality is exceptional. The Copier is quite great too with a click of a button. I would definitely recommend this to a Friend who needs regular printing at Home and need to copy or scan documents. The Epson Expression ET-2700 is a great bang for your buck product. It has a lot of cool features and prints very clear. My favorite feature is the ink tank in the front of the printer. Unlike other printers when you only find out you’re out of ink by printing a gray blob. The Epson Expression ET-2700 allows you to know ahead of time, get ink, and prepare for that next print job. You can print and scan via phone, laptop, or anything connected to Wi-Fi thanks to Epson’s app. A con I would give is that the USB cable to set up wirelessly isn’t included. Honestly, it’s kind of funny that a wireless set up would require a wire in the first place. However, the printer makes up for it in a majority of other ways. It’s a solid product and worth buying. This is a perfect printer for my work as a college student. It was extremely easy to set up, and the eco-tank feature means that I don't have to worry about refilling the ink often and I can focus on more important things. The print speed on the printer is impressive, it doesn't take long at all to print out my long projects for school. Great new concept for a printer

Setup: 4/5 This printer was not difficult to setup, but it was missing a few features that I would prefer for a mid range printer. The printer does not come with a USB cable and also does not have a screen so to set the wifi connection up the easiest meathod is to use WPS. I was able to get it connected by doing that, but I can imagine if your router did not have that then setting up the printer would be a hassle and require purchasing a cable. Besides that the software and drivers were easy to install and set up quickly. Quality:5/5 Print quality is great on this printer. I dont have much more to add about it, but it prints equal or better quality to the previous Epson printer I was using. One small note is that the first 2 or 3 pages I printer did have a bit of excess ink on them. I believe that ink to be from the charging process that readies the ink. Economy: 5/5 Obviously the reason that most would buy this is the decreased cost of ink by eliminating cartridges. I found the process of loading the ink to only take a few moments more that the process of swapping ink cartridges, but it decreases the price by a huge amount. The printer does cost more from the start, but for me it is easier to justify that and pay less over time for the ink. Overall: 5/5 I would definitely recommend this printer to most. It works great for me and will be taking over as my primary printer due to the lessened ink cost. Holds a huge ammount of ink

This printer may have ruined me on ink cartridges forever. I can't justify the price of ink cartridge refills that will only last a couple of 8x10 prints when I have four gigantic tanks of ink that cost the same. I have printed about ten 8x10 prints on ultra settings using Epson ultra premium presentation paper (matte). The ink reserves have not dropped an 1/8 of an inch. The prints look great on matte paper and I'm assuming glossy would look good also but I hate gloss. Photos look as good as they do on screen and vector line art and text print as crisp as can be. The setup was pretty uneventful except when installing on my second computer. Usually my printers are connected to my network or I set up a print server with my NAS. This time I wanted to connect wireless. The first PC was uneventful. I downloaded the full driver/app installer and it went off without a hitch. While using the same installer on the second PC it would recognize the printer but would fail to connect to it at the last second. I downloaded just the driver installer and it found the printer and connected no problem. Afterwards I installed the separate apps that I wanted. Finally as always the scanner works fine. Epson's scanner software is easily laid out and it scans what I want it to scan. Perfect for home, not recommended for office work

The “Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer” is one of the better color/scanner printers that I’ve owned over the years. I would summarize my review and a printer that is great for home or light home office work and not so great for heavier office chores. First, the benefits. There were no surprises in setting it up. If you have ever set up a printer before, you can toss the quick guide into the trash, put on blindfolds and still have it running in a matter of minutes. The ink (black plus the standard three colors) are a novel approach: ink cartridges have been replaced by built-in ink wells. To fill them, you snap a large bottle of ink into the well, and that fills it up, and you toss the bottle, and you don’t have to think about cartridges again. I do not like cartridges. Resolution is clear. Wi-Fi connection is a breeze. Driver installation is a breeze. Resolution is rates very good in my opinion, and the next step up is only deserved by a laser color printer. In my opinion, it’s a speed demon, only a hair slower than my HP black and white laser. Now, a couple considerations before you purchase. If you’re using it at home, consider that the footprint is actually larger than it looks. The paper tray is external, which is fine but a little retro, and you have to pull out an exit tray for the paper. When both are extended, it almost doubles the length of the printer that you initially pulled out of the box. The scanner, fast – and unless you’re scanning highly detailed/small font documents – is fine. It’s is a flatbed with no ADF, though, which is thoroughly annoying if you’re scanning a stack of documents. If you scan a lot, put a rocking chair next to the scanner and open a bottle of wine. Other than the footprint and the document feeder, it’s a keeper. I’ve treated it like a workhorse and haven’t encountered a single glitch yet. My overall impression of this printer is favorable. I print a LOT of papers being a homeschooling mom of four kiddos, so I have gotten to be very particular about printers. Pros: *I can print from any computer or phone in my house. The ease of use there is HUGE for me, and saves me having to bring laptops to printers to print, and allows me to print directly from my phone *Set up was easy and straightforward. Nothing confusing, nothing difficult, just out of the box, onto the shelf, follow the very short instructions. * print quality is good. I tested it to the limit by printing an 8.5X11 picture off of my cellphone that I had edited, and it printed up amazingly well *ink is priced extremely reasonably to my mind. *Lightweight and easy to move. *I love the clear ink windows so i can visibly see how much ink is left *the app that goes along with the printer also shows ink levels, pending print jobs, and other status updates. Super convenient! cons *installation speed. It took over 10 minutes to charge the ink. It took close to half an hour to install all the software. I don't have the fastest internet, but it's far from slow. it was definitely the slowest from plugging it in to printing of any printer I've tried out *print speed is a bit slow for what i expected. not slow, but slower than I would prefer. Printed 48 coloring pages and it took me about 5 minutes. *this thing is large. it's just a beast of a printer. I have all of our printers lined up on a shelving unit, and this one almost doesn't fit. It's certainly not a deal breaker in terms of anything, but definitely worth noting. neutral: *I did note that the first few pages printed faster than the next few, and it got progressively slower as the pages went. *it's decently loud for a printer In summation, I would recommend this for a friend, especially considering ink costs and page counts etc, but it's definitely not a massive improvement over my much cheaper and smaller printer that I was currently using, so I likely wouldn't buy it were I in the market for a new printer. This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. After testing the ET-2700, I've found it works...really well... It has some great features, but a few hiccups as well. ## The Good ## 1. Good scanning 2. Built-in OCR PDF export, the built-in OCR scanning software is amazingly fast and accurate (only on desktop). 3. Very accurate automated rotation, adjusting, hole punch removal, and deskew, among other good settings. 4. Great image quality, it goes up to 1200DPI and looks great. 5. Small files created at higher DPI, even with 600DPI it created small image file sizes and PDFs. 6. Quick printing, but it could be faster. 7. Holds a good amount of paper 8. Ink filling was super easy and quick 9. Ink goes a very long way 10. Prints great photos on glossy paper and regular. 11. Wireless setup from mobile was easy. 12. Soft matte style finish instead of fingerprint absorbing gloss coats. 13. Easy Google Cloud print setup and epson connect email setup. 14. Smartphone sees the printer without any issues. ## The Bad ## 1. No screen for displaying info. 2. Software is not very good, already had the whole Epson suite from previous Epson scanners and printers, but none would recognize the scanner on this until I installed all the software again. 3. No SD Print slot. 4. Printing under “Matte Paper” setting distorts all the colors and black comes out as a dark green instead of black (tried printing with normal settings on the same matte paper and it printed perfect so it’s a settings issue). 5. It’s quite larger, it’s taller than the other All-in-One I have and it’s bulky looking compared to it. 6. Can only scan 1 side and 1 piece at a time. 7. Lights stay on bright, even at night after long standy time of 24 hours. 8. Longer than expected wait time for print after selecting print on phone and computer.

My experience with the set up and use of the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer has been great. This printer has all of the things I am looking for in a home office printer and I am very pleased with it so far. I needed a printer with scanning capabilities, wifi, and a large ink supply, and this printer met all of those needs. I am especially impressed with the large ink bottles that accompany the printer, and it wasn’t hard to fill the printer using the bottles. Unboxing and setup of the Epson Expressin ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One printer was a breeze. I opened the box and followed the setup instructions, not having any issues. The initial filling of the tanks was easy and I felt like I will have A LOT of ink to last for a long time. That alone makes this printer amazing since ink is expensive. The wifi setup was also very easy, and printing from my iPhone is always something I have wanted to do. Overall, I am really happy with the printer and using it so far has been amazing. It prints fast with great quality. I will use this in my home office and know I can rely on it for quality and efficient printing. Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer Might be the best printer I've ever owned!  I mostly print for personal use here at home.   I don't do much business printing with my personal printer.  So, with that said,  I haven't had any big print jobs as of yet.  However, the small print jobs that I have completed,  have certaily met my expectations.   It's a great all in one printer. Print/ Copy/Scan. My favorite feature though, is that I can print from my phone or tablet. Mobile friendly,  wireless printing!   I feel like I'm living in the future.... ha ha The set up was fairly easy.   Please take your time and read all the set-up directions. You will need to install software so don't be in a hurry.  It will be worth your time.   It comes with two years worth of ink!  I know,  unheard of, right?   Not anymore!  Also,  when you do have to replace the ink, it's much less expensive than other ink you've bought in the past. This is a cartridge free printer.  You'll be surprised.  This printer is very user friendly.  Has fast printing and great quaitly printing. It will not disappoint!  This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2700 Eco Tank. First i just want to say ive had a love hate relationship with Epson printers since i got my first one over 15 years ago. I always loved the way they printed. The speed, the color, the smooth quiet operation. But being someone who liked to fill their own ink cartridges i developed a hate for them. They came with a smart chip that was supposed to make them impossible. to fill, although with a little hacking and a lot of hassle it could be done. But this one is a whole new beast. You have this big tank and you just open the bottle, turn it upside down and it locks on there and gulps the ink down.No messy ink on your hands and the floor like the old refill kit. The printer itself is also smooth in operation, speed is good and color quality excellent.with the phone app you can wirelessly print anything from your phone to the printer, even from across town or another country. As someone who researches projects I'm doing and then jotting down info i need, this will be a lot easier than me trying to read my scribbling. Overall a good printer

Since the packaging is pretty much the same as most electronics I guess the best place to start this review is with the installation. As I do with most any device I skipped the included CD and downloaded the newest software from Epson. The initial download was a small and fast 10 MB file. During installation it downloads the main install files which was still reasonably fast. When installing on a wireless capable computer, the software gives the option to connect to the printer through a wireless connection to complete the setup. As with other printers with this feature I found this iffy at best. After the third unsuccessful attempt I broke out a standard USB printer cable and things continued smoothly. A problem did show up when attempting to add the printer to additional computers. The software has an option to choose if the printer is already installed on the network. When choosing this, it saw the printer on the network but could not connect to it. Disabling the firewall didn’t help. This was again solved by connecting with a USB cable and finishing the installation. Not a huge deal with a laptop but a hassle with a desktop. Setup was different than most due to the use of ink tanks instead of cartridges. Although the tanks look small, the included bottles are enough for just one complete fill. Following the directions on filling the tanks and charging the ink lines is pretty straightforward. The ink bottles and tanks are keyed to prevent putting the wrong color in the wrong tank and are made to prevent any spills. I was very happy with the use of this printer. Printing from a mobile device can be slow at times but otherwise it was great. Scanning and copying was pretty much equal to or better than similar printers. Printing from a computer was fast and the quality was very good. Pictures printed on standard paper were as good as can be expected and on photo paper were excellent. Text was nice and crisp and colors were true. Noise levels were about the same or slightly lower than your standard inkjet printer. All in all this is a very good printer. Other than the installation issues it performed flawlessly. Some less tech savvy users may have problems with the installation but this may be fixed in a future installer package. After using this printer for a good portion of my daily printing for the last week the ink levels haven’t changed noticeably. With what looks like reasonably priced ink this printer could easily make up for the higher price with lower ink costs. Prints like a dream, setup is like a nightmare

Upon unboxing of this printer, first thing I noticed was that it's pretty lightweight. It's something that I could have stored in a certain spot of my desk and not really have to worry about it being too heavy. Because of that it is pretty east to "scooch" it out in order to print papers. Straight Out of the Box it was pretty easy setup when it came to filling the ink tanks, even though I was a bit nervous and kept checking and rechecking to make sure that I did not mix up the colors for each individual tank. Initially I was worried about the ink leaking once I lifted it out of or away from the reservoir after filling but there wasn't even the tiniest bit of ink that dripped. The tanks were relatively easy to fill, took really no time at all.           That was where easy ended for me. Getting this thing to connect to my wireless router was an absolute nightmare. Yes I am tech savy but I did not have the cord that you could use to direct connect the printer and it was not included in the Box. So it took me around 2 hours to troubleshoot every which way and see if I could get this thing connected without having to go out and buy a separate cable to direct connect it. However, being tech savy, I was actually able to switch some settings around and connect it through the WPS button. I did not have to use the CD, I was actually able to download all of the drivers and all of the programming for this printer from the website directly because my laptop does not have a disk drive.           Once I had everything loaded and everything connected and everything ready to go, I put a few sheets of paper in and I let it do its thing and it kept getting jammed. I'm still having issues with the paper getting jammed if it's not in the exact perfect position every time it prints.          Over all though, once papers loaded right I really do love this printer it's seems like it's going to be really economical. It's going to save me a lot of money on ink and it prints amazingly crisp images! EcoTank for cheaper photo printing!

What attracted me to this printer is Epson's EcoTank where I wouldn't be relegated to purchasing the more expensive and proprietary single-use ink cartridges from competitors. The cost per page is much lower than printers I've bought in the past, both laser and inkjet. With the Ecotank system, I won't need to search for a DIY/hack to refill proprietary printer cartridges that claim to be empty but are printing well after the "empty" warnings. To refill an Ecotank I can buy a reasonably cost ink bottle and refill it myself. Day to day usage is great. The wireless printing function from mobile devices is more useful than one would think. Using Epson's glossy photo paper were able to print photos at home for around $0.16 per photo without having to wait for shipping. Great Home Printer

For the past week I have been using the Epson Expression ET-2700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer printer as my primary home printer. Typically I use it for printing emails, office documents and coupons. In all of the above tasks the printer worked as one would expect. I printed from my laptop, as well as my phone using google cloud print, and it worked flawlessly. One feature that I appreciated was the ability to choose color vs black & white from my mobile device. My old printer gave the option, but always printed in color. The Epson handled the color selection correctly every time. Not sure if this is related to the setup or functionality of the google cloud print, but it was a welcome surprise. The setup was the same as any other printer, however this one comes with ink bottles that you pour into the tanks with specialty fit nozzles on the top of the ink bottles. On the bottles it claims that each one is keyed and will not overflow or spill, etc. I was a little unsure and apprehensive loading the ink, figuring it would spill everywhere, but each one worked great and I didn’t spill a drop. As mentioned earlier I’ve only had this printer a week, but so far so good, it has become my new main printer in my house. The ink levels haven’t budged for the past week, so it appears that the ink will hold up as long as it claims. One thing I don’t particularly care for is the paper sticks out the top back of the printer, behind the scanner deck perpendicular to the scanner deck. I normally like the tray fed paper where it is tucked inside the printer. It isn’t a deal breaker more of an annoyance than anything. This is a great combination of home printer with the ink container of a company printer. It hold a lot. A lot of ink. Little printer with no paper tray. That is fine if you don’t plan to print every minute for a home printer. The printer looks normal with a show of the ink lever that no other printer has. No more guesting how much ink you have left. Normally I alway disable the printer ink level notification in my computer anyways. The setup and install of the software are easy. I was able to print from my iPhone and laptop in a few minutes. Prints from epson printers are always as good. No doubt about it. Great All-in-One

I am pretty impressed with this little All-in-One. I have a good first impressions with it. It comes nicely packaged, and easy to un-box. Epson says that it comes with 6000+ pages worth of ink. This is a sharp contrast to many other ink printers on the market. Other printers will run out of ink quickly, and if one ink cartridge is below the threshold, it will not print. But Epson seems to be changing the mold with this ink printer. First allowing you to refill your own ink, and two to have such big ink reservoirs. After filling the printer up with ink, and allowing it to do it initial setup, I printed some photos and documents to see the quality of the prints. Overall I was pretty impressed with the photos that it printed. I then scanned some documents and photos using the built in scanner. And again was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the scans. My overall impression of the printer is good. I would like to see if I do indeed get the 6000+ pages of printing on a single black ink recharge. I would definitely recommend this printer for household printing and photo printing.
