I have used the printer four times since purchase And now I cannot print and all directions are on line! Schedule for geek squad is ten days and I am at a standstill!!

better than buying $50 of ink every few months, but it is essentially a $40 printer with continuous ink

I finally got to a point this week where I unplugged the printer and used it as a basketball while trying to make a 3 point shot into the dumpster. It felt great to finally rid myself of the headaches this printer caused the entire time I had it. The print quality was the absolute worst!!! Lines, streaks, and constant head cleaning and test printing to get all of the colors working only to be forced into accepting severely sub-standard prints. I quickly came to the conclusion it was saving me tons of money on ink because I wasn't able to use it 90% of the time. The refillable tanks is a great idea, but this idea should be applied to a printer worth owning.

Color has been somehow blocked and only prints using black.

In selecting a printer I specifically stated I made lots of copies and needed a printer ( like my old Canon) that would make clear transparencies. I was told the Epson would do this. IT DOES NOT!!!! Thus far I have not received feedback from Best Buy on what to do in this situation!!!! I am not a happy camper!!

Hard to get the thing programmed. Needed help from Epson more than once. Rinky Dink setting options.

Product delivered without the ink. Box clearly indicates ink included, but upon opening, there was no ink in the box.

This was bought for our shop for the tech's to use and so far seems to work ok.

Copy's are fine. But the most important function was the scanner and i can't use anything I scan

I expected it to be better for the price, epson 1430 is one of the best ink jet printer

Bought this printer for my college age daughter because it was great green concept to not have to change printer cartridges and discard. Was willing to pay more for the printer for this reason. Printer setup was fine, but after a while it started printing lines on the pages. I now see other reviewers with the same issue. Tried everything including cleaning the printer heads various ways. Called Epson and tried what they recommended. Still a problem with no solution. Gave up and will be sending this loser to the landfill. So much for being green. Have used Brother printers without any such problems, and will be going back to them. This green printer has turned into a brown log. Gave Epson a chance with this new concept, but based on our poor experience, will never buy Epson again. Sorry, but you only get one chance Epson and you should have got it right.

Ok for what I use it for. Not a fast printer. Adding ink can be a messy task.

I was looking for a home printer with some versatility. I need it to print, copy, scan, fax and print pictures. The Epson rep was in the store this day and raved about this printer. She owns this herself and it's great.,I was looking at other printers but they kept getting compared to this one because of the ink savings even though initial price was $200 more than the other one. So feeling pressured by both the rep and my husband (who is all about saving money) I bought this one. It does not feed copies. I have to stand there and lay each individual paper on the glass one at a time, it does not fax and in order to scan you need a special cable that does not come with it. AND because of the ink, it's always checking levels and can take minutes to print a single page. Unless you have plenty of extra time, don't buy this printer.

the red ink doesn't show well I like it but wish colors were brighter

I have had good luck with Epson printers in the past, but this one has been terrible since day one. I purchased it along with an Imac, and set it up for a wireless connection. It constantly loses connection from the wireless network. I continually have to do software upgrades and turn the computer and printer off and back on to get it to reconnect. Recently it started printing with voids. My wife prints her shipping labels and the voids make the barcodes unreadable. The ink tanks are full, so I went through the nozzle cleaning steps like five times, but it still doesn't help. I really feel like I threw away my money on this one.

It is very good printer.. though it could be better if it could give a better quality. There is a line that appears in every print.. not sure what it is. I would not recommend this product due to this issue.

I don't like that it doesn't do auto double sided printing.

I really like the idea of not having to replace ink for two years, and I'm hoping (and trusting) that that will be the case. But for the high price of this printer, it's just too basic. There's no automatic duplex (2-sided) printing. It scans, but only a single page...scanning a document of 2 pages or more is a real pain. Adding the ink is cumbersome, and will no doubt make a real mess for some folks All in all, quite a disappointment.
