    Ink Cartridges Waste Ink!!!!

    I was excited about this little machine for my color printing needs, but was quickly disappointed when I needed to change out one of the ink cartridges. There was only one that needed changing and the other color cartridges still had 1/3 left. When I changed out the empty one and the printer did it's thing, it then told me the other two color cartridges were out. So, I changed those out and the new cartridge I just put in without printing any pages was now marking only 3/4 full. What!?!? How did I lose a quarter cartridge without even printing? When I finally changed out my black ink cartridge another quarter cartridge from my colors just magically disappeared. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRINTER OR BRAND.

    Not worth the price; easy set up, worked for the first couple of days and have been getting error msg ever since. Shld have paid more for a better more dependable printer

    Cartridge came less than 50 pages Printer stopped

    The black cartridge that came with the printer did not last even for 50 pages and stopped all of sudden in middle of taking prints. Printer does not continue to print if cartridge is not full and is useless if cartridge is not replaced. My previous printer allowed printing pages even with half cartridge and quality is not fully black which is fine for taking prints of exercises for kids activities. Would not recommend any printer with poor cartridge or that forces to replace cartridges.

      Hello Naga, thank you for sharing your experience with the Epson XP-4100. Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors for regular operation. A small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged, even when you're printing black text only, and this prevents air bubbles from entering and damaging the print head itself. However, the Epson XP-4100 printer will allow you to print temporarily with black ink when a color ink cartridge has been expended.     The strangest set up

    I tried to set up this printer but it has a weird little pillar underneath the scanning plate. You were supposed to lift plate all the way and then it would come down most of the way. You were supposed to lift it again and the pillar would disappear. The pillar in my printer got stuck and the plate would not go down. I worked on it for a while and then tried Epson support. No luck there. I cannot be the only person who had trouble with that ridiculous pillar or post (the light blue thing). I gave the printer away. I hope the recipient gets it to work. I will never again buy an Epson printer. Whoever designed it was on drugs. Elizabeth

    Printing from the phone has become an issue. I chose an 8 by 10 paper size and it took five pages to print to. I've gone through so much and so much paper trying to figure out which paper size actually works best. I do not recommend this machine

    The paper is not going through the feeder. It makes too much noise. I will be taking it back. I had to call the company of Epson to get new ink because the ink that came with it was not working

    Arguably the worst printer on the market.

    Worst interface I have ever seen on printer. UI is so clunky and no touch. The Wi-Fi connection options and reliability are embarrassing coming from Epson. I only switched to this model from a workforce because of space issues and at this point I would have rather paid $150 for ink on the old printer. Not having at least and Ethernet port as a fallback is a serious issues. Worst product I’ve ever had to work with.

    Just Blah employee recommend this to us. It always has an error code asks to update all the time drinks ink. I had an HP for years and no problems. Right out of the box it had issues.
