    First Impressions Epson ET-7700 AIO

With my Canon Pixma MX882 AIO printer that I purchased on Amazon in 2011 still functioning, but insistently warning me that the ink absorber would soon have to be replaced in addition to needing more ink cartridges, I thought that this would be a good time to get a new printer. I also had just replaced my 5.5-year-old desktop AOI PC in May of this year. I knew that I wanted one of the new ink tank and NOT ink cartridge printers in the expectation of saving some money over the long-term despite the higher initial cost. This specific Epson inkjet AIO was the best fit for me: 1) 5 inks for higher quality photo printing and not just 4 - as in the Workforce series, 2) SD card and USB flash memory capable, 3) no automatic document feeder (ADF) since I knew from past experience that I rarely needed one, 4) 100 sheet capacity paper tray was enough for me, 5) no fax function since for me faxing has pretty much been replaced by email; that rarely needed fax can sent via an online on-demand fax service such as FaxZero, 6) the wider format but otherwise identical Epson ET-7750 would have been overkill. I purchased this printer - my very first Epson - when the price recently dropped from $549.00 to $449.00. I also had considered Canon’s new MegaTank printer the Pixma G4210 (currently around $299.00) which with its 4 inks and ADF/faxing capabilities is most comparable to the Epson Workforce models. However, reviews here on Amazon and elsewhere indicate customer displeasure with some of its features: 1) extremely small and often illegible LCD display with confusing menus, 2) no paper trays at all with gravity paper feed from the back and printed copies exiting in the front, 3) no duplex printing, 4) diverse software issues/problems, 5) ink bottles require a certain amount of squeezing to fill the 4 tanks which may result in a bit of a mess if you squeeze too hard; Epson ink bottles are completely gravity fed – no squeezing required. This Pixma G4210 is presently rated very highly by Consumer Reports – much higher than Epson models, but they are engaging in an inaccurate, if not false comparison. All the comparable Epson Eco Tank printers in the current Consumer Reports rating list are exclusively earlier models from 2015; nothing new at all from Epson is included. Consumer Reports should not be playing such deceitful games and should be reviewing/testing the current Epson model line just like they were easily able to get their hands on the aforementioned 2018 Canon MegaTank AIO. When I unpacked my new Epson Eco Tank AIO, I must say that it struck me as being somewhat flimsy in its overall build quality when compared with the Canon Pixma MX882 that it was replacing. The latter was truly solid and built like a battle tank. The cover on this non-ADF Epson model appears to be made of especially lightweight plastic and I wouldn’t recommend setting anything on top of it – not that anyone ever would. The plastic paper trays (1, 2 & the paper output trays) also appear to be quite delicate and unexpectedly flexible; it will be interesting to see how these parts hold up over time. Certainly caution always will need to be exercised during use. Apart from the initially disappointing aesthetics, everything has been just fine where it counts, namely during installation and in technical performance. I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with my Epson ET7700 so far. The initial filling of the 5 ink tanks and subsequent charging of the printer was the most time-consuming procedure. I recommend viewing the short video available online from Epson Support before doing this, since the included printed Quick Start instructions do not indicate when you should fill each tank with the ink still remaining in each of the bottles after charging has completed. The video clearly shows when to do this. After having successfully filled all the printer’s ink tanks, you will happily still have a full set of 5 ink bottles available for future use. The printer software installation on a Windows 10 PC and connection to my secure WiFi network (via Netgear Orbi WiFi System) was flawless. The most time-consuming step here was entering my SSID and password directly via the printer’s LCD. If you own a Roku, other streaming device or a smart TV, then you know the drill. Everything functions as it should with WiFi scanning and printing from my PC and via Epson Connect online. I have yet to install and try one the dedicated Epson printer smartphone apps and may not do so since printing via the already installed Google Cloud Print app works just fine. Despite having an available external DVD/CD drive, I did download the software suite from the Epson website to ensure that I would be getting the latest version and I recommend that you do the same. A quick look at the software CD indicates a date of April 2017 while the online software package that I downloaded was dated September 2017. Presently, I am still in the first week of familiarizing myself with the Epson ET-7700. If necessary, I will report back with any unanticipated problems/issues as they arise. I give this ink tank AIO 4 out of 5 stars due to its clearly less robust construction when compared with other printers that I have known over the years.

Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-On

This review is over the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer which has been a unique experience. I did put this printer to the test by printing a lot of paperwork. After a great amount of printing and scanning, I have come to the following results that will cover some features I love about the printer and the quality of printing and scanning. Don't know if you do remember but a long time ago there was an attempt to have a solution to saving the consumer money from having to buy ink cartridges. This solution was to buy refillable ink that would allow the consumer to refill cartridges which could be a complete mess if done wrong. Also, you could only do this so many times before the cartridge itself would stop working. With this being said Epson has finally found a better solution by designing built-in tanks for each color. All you have to do now is fill the tank with ink which you can't even mess up as each bottle is keyed to fit each tank differently. Something else to mention is no mess when adding ink to the printer but that is as long you follow the rules and place the bottle in the key slot and let it do its job. You don't have to squeeze or worry about overfilling the tank as the bottle will stop the ink flow as soon as the tank is full. What else is very cool is that you can physically see how much ink is in the printer by looking at the tank gauge in front of the printer. This will allow you to know how much ink you have at any given moment without having to print a supply sheet out or going into the printer settings or software to view the ink level. Now it's time to go over the quality of printing and scanning. First, let's go over the printing features. This printer is built to use less ink while still having the best quality of pictures and documents that are printed from the printer. Of all the printing I did the quality was outstanding and very surprised of all the printing I did there was still a lot of ink remaining in the printer. Did you know with this printer you can print up to 9,000 pages of documents and up to 5,000 pages in color? That is a lot of pages that you can print and if you had to purchase cartridges you would've bought up to 30 ink cartridges. Talk about the savings you would save as the replacement ink if bought in a set is lower than $60 if you bought the 4 pack or you can also purchase each separately which is roughly around $14. These prices are as of this review and could change at a later time. Something else to mention is that the printer does come with up to 2 years worth of ink. Next let's go over the scanning features of the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer. The one feature I do miss is the document feeder which would allow you to scan more than one document at a time. With this printer, you only have a flatbed which is okay but the document feeder would be a great addon for this printer. This is the only CON I don't like about the printer but you can still scan documents and photos by using the flatbed. The printer does do an awesome job scanning as I have scanned documents which is expected to be good as it doesn't take much to scan a document. As for photo quality, the image quality was great as long you chose the higher settings while scanning. It even scanned some grayscale photos of some pictures that my wife loves to color which had outstanding quality. The printout looked just like the original grayscale photo. Some other features of the printer are being able to print to the printer wireless from your computer or mobile device. You can even print pictures by placing an SD card into the printer our USB drive. There is also an option to print onto writable CD's/DVD's by placing the writable CD/DVD into the specially designed tray and placing the tray into the printer. Once you have done this you can use the Print on CD/DVD in the More Functions on the LCD display. There is more I could go in as Epson has done an outstanding job in creating this printer. In the end, this is an awesome printer which I do expect due to the price you pay for this printer. As of this time I wrote this review, the printer does cost $549.99. Yes I know that is expensive but with the quality and amount of ink, you save year/year makes up for it. My rating for this printer is 4 out of 5. As mentioned the only CON about the printer is not having the document feeder. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Innovative, Economical, and a 2 year warranty!

I was in the market for a new printer for my home when my 4 year old Canon Printer stopped working when I was chosen to do a beta test of the The Epson Expression Premium ET-7700. Just so we are clear since this is a beta that by no means influences my decision in any way as this is a unbiased review of what I consider a fabulous economic quality printer. The Epson Expression premium ET-7700 is a great printer for home and small office users that are looking to purchase an economical all in one printer that has excellent photo quality and comes with tons of ink! Upon unboxing the ET-7700 and removing the tape and packaging materials, the ET-7700 all-in-one is a nice looking quality printer that doesn’t take up a lot of space. The initial setup was quick and easy, (under 45 minutes) and the included Start Here guide does a very good job of walking you through step-by step the basic setup and filling of ink and setting up the printer. As a side note, I didn’t use the enclosed cd to set up the printer, as I found that the drivers on the included cd are usually out of date so I downloaded the updated setup software from Epson’s support website for my desktop and laptop OS and used the downloaded software to install the printer. I was also able to get the printer connected to my Wi-Fi network easily using the downloaded software for the ET-7700 printer and was connected in minutes. (Wired Ethernet is also an option). Setup on my other computers was also smooth, with the printer already connected to my Wi-Fi network, the process was quick and the printer was recognized on the other desktop and laptop without any issues. I was also able to connect my iPhone and iPad to the printer and using Airprint and was able to print from both devices quickly and easily. The Epson iPrint app for your mobile phone is also very nice, making photo printing from your phone a snap and offering many other great features Epson has upgraded the Eco Tank filling process with self-sealing ink bottles and auto stop ink reservoirs making the filling process very easy to do with no mess or worry of spilling the ink. I like the fact that you can actually see the amounts of ink in each tank is an awesome feature and in the box are two full sets of ink bottles, with enough ink to last for 2 years under normal and the fact that the cost of replacement ink is over an 80% saving compared to purchasing ink cartridges is very economical and is another plus for this all-in-one printer.. So far, in my testing, I am very pleased with both the print speed and the print quality from this printer when set at Standard or High-Quality print, the printer has excellent text and image quality and a print speed of 8 ppm in Standard (color) which is quick. In Draft quality, (Mono no-color) the print speed jumps to 13 ppm and with low ink density it really make the inks last! One area of printing where I think the ET-7700 really stands out is photo printing. The image quality is outstanding and photos look crisp and clear with no image texture problems or obvious inaccurate colors that I have seen on more expensive inkjet printers from other manufacturers. . The Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 has many high-end features as you would guess from the “Premium” name without spending a “Premium” price. It has advanced features you would expect to find on more expensive all-in-one printers such as auto duplexing, CD/DVD printing, USB direct print, Epson Connect and Google Cloud Printing, photo enhancement/restoration, and dedicated paper and photo trays plus many other functions. The onscreen controls on the ET-7700 are easy to use however, I wish they would have used a touch screen on this model but it really isn’t much of an issue as the controls on the printer are easy to use and navigate. While the price point for the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 might seem on the high end at first but, once you consider that Epson has included over $1000 worth of ink (at current competitor ink cartridge prices) a free 2 year warranty and high quality printing and many extra features found on more expensive printers makes that no brainer for home or small-office users. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

This little printer is pretty impressive, even after just over a week of use. I really needed this more for the color photo printing features than anything else. However, since I received it, I find it is already becoming my go-to printer for all types of documents. Setup was easy, a whole new experience on this one! Ink install was just as everyone has mentioned, truly a no-brainer. I like the idea that I am able to print whatever quantities or quality of documents (or photos) that I need, and without having to watch the ink supply dwindling with each sheet. Granted, I might have to deal with filling the tanks in a year or two (according to Epson), but it's very nice to be able to SEE the ink levels in the front of the printer instead of merely trusting whatever internal system the manufacturer designed for displaying warning dialogs to warn you that ink is low. It will certainly be a pleasure not to look at those incessant warnings - at least for awhile! The setup with my network was seamless, as I noticed when I opened the printer box, there was a note on top, containing a web address directing me the latest software, so I disposed of the CD that came with this and went straight to Epson for it. It recognized my wifi network right away, and installed whatever drivers were needed. I was able to There was a firmware update, which was just 2-3 clicks on the web-based app on my computer, and it was done in a flash. When I printed from my 2nd computer (a laptop connected wirelessly), the 7700 showed up as an option under my printers, already, so there was no additional setup required for a different OS. And, when I opened the Epson iprint software on my Android (I already have a different model of Epson), it not only gave me a choice of printers, it will also display the ink levels, allows me to scan/copy, or get images from the cloud to print. The color prints are much better than I've experienced in awhile via a personal printer. I gave up printing photos at home years ago, due to the expense and bother of constantly buying ink refills (and inferior quality). However, with the great quality of the photos this 7700 is printing now, there's no need for me to upload pics to the local pharmacy and big box store anymore just for regular prints. The lack of an ADF or fax capability is not a big issue for me, but if those are features you desire, there is an almost identical model to this one that has ADF and Fax - intended for business use. Although I would prefer that the paper tray held more than 150 sheets of paper, having the dedicated trays (one for regular paper, one for photo paper) is a big bonus. No more printing the wrong document to the wrong tray and wasting paper (and ink). It also has a slot for printing CDs and DVDs, which is kind of intriguing, I have not tested that but it's a feature I haven't seen on a printer in many years. Bottom line, if you are in the market for a printer, or just looking for an upgrade - this is a great solution and the quality is impressive. You'll also have the added bonus of delving into the new, super-convenient printer ink technology. This Epson ET-7700 is truly a powerhouse of a printer! It is an All-in-one printer, allowing you do all your professional printing needs with ease. To start, it prints extremely high-quality photo at pretty fast speed. The printer has 3 adjustable trays for all your different printing needs. The top tray handles all the smaller things like 4 by 6 photos or anything around that range. The middle tray takes full-size Letter papers and around that size. The bottom tray Is really coll, as it is special for printing CDs. Pretty much all you the different thing you could possibly need to print for your business, this printer can do! Next, this All-in-one printer has a really sharp scanner, allowing you to scan, copy, or fax your sketches and other documents into your computer, give copies to your clients, or fax it to them. One amazing thing that I really like about this printer is the Eco-Tank. Besides that the printer comes with a 2 year supply of ink FREE in the box, refilling your ink and getting more is now a breeze. no more paying exorbitant prices for cartridges. The Eco-Tank ink display Is predominantly visible in the front of the printer, not making you guess how much you have left at all times. Filling up the ink is a breeze. Just insert the bottle into the correct inn slot and it will fill itself up, automatically stopping when its full. The printer control panel on the front is very easy to use, and it has a very clear and sharp touchscreen display, allowing you to do work directly from the printer itself. Set up was very easy, the printer comes with very simple and easy to follow instructions to get it going and the software as well. Just a great all-around printer! Business or family printing covered

    Posted
    Greg

So got a small business or lot of kids and your printer is showing it's age.  Epson has a printer that prints crisp documents and vibrate photos all while saving you money on that most costly item, ink.  The Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer, that's a mouth full, has become the family printer for me and my four kids. This thing can go up to a year before you need to change the ink and to make it even better they include another set of refill bottles, so two years of printing!  Ok, so haven't gotten to the first yeat to really know how my printing volume will match up, but I do have that extra set of bottles. No more cartridges and it has a large black capacity! This is probably the best thing I like about this printer, cartridges are just bad, low ink capacity and the resources to create them are not eco friendly.  Out of the box it was quite easy to setup.  The instruction guide and the on board screen walk you through the process.  The longest thing was when it was priming , it tells you it could take up to seven minutes and it will almost. When you load paper you have two trays so you can load up your normal paper in one and photo paper in the other if you're like me and want to print photos without having to get up and switch out the paper.  This thing can print 8.5″ x 14″ paper documents, so make your presentation bigger than everyone else and get noticed.  Speaking of paper trays, my only issue is that it only holds about 80 sheets of paper stock.  While not a massive concern, would be nice to have more capacity or an accessory ream holder.  Photo paper capacity comes in around 20, not bad at all and you can print borderless photos, bonus. Some interesting points: Besides your standard black and three color inks, you get a photo black. Photo black brings out the detail and makes the photos vibrant. It prints on CD/DVDs.  There's a tray to hold your CD/DVD and with the include Epson Print CD software your music and videos will be looking very professional.  Impress grandma with your skills and you can print matching jacket to go with it. There us a maintenance box and you get a replacement one, just like the extra set of ink. The maintenance box stores ink that gets flushed from the system during print head cleaning. USB and memory card slots so you can print from at the printer. Keyed refill bottles so you can't accidently mess up and they have auto-stop so you won't mess up the carpet when refilling. Print speeds are approximately Black: 13 ppm and Color: 8 ppm. Do I like this printer, yes even with paper capacity.  It's a workhorse and I'll be enjoying the savings with refillable ink bottles. Sorry for the going on so long, but hope I helped. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

The Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 is a great option for home and small office users that are looking for a quick all in one that has excellent photo quality and tons of ink. Unboxing the unit and initial setup was quick and easy, the included Start Here guide does a very good job of walking you through the basic setup and filling of inks. Epson has really upgraded the Eco Tank filling process with self-sealing ink bottles and auto stop ink reservoirs making the filling process drip free and simple to do. Considering you get not just one, but two full sets of ink bottles, I won’t need to purchase any new ink for years. I was also able to get the printer connected to Wifi easily using the on-screen menu of the printer (wired Ethernet is also an option) and was able to use the AirPrint feature to print from my iPhone shortly after unboxing which was great. Setup on my computers was also smooth, with the printer already connected to Wi-Fi, the process was quick and the printer was recognized on the network without any issues. In my use so far, when set at Standard or High-Quality print, the printer has excellent text and image quality and a print speed of about 10 ppm in Standard which is quite quick. One area of printing where the ET-7700 really stands out is photo printing. The image quality is outstanding and photos look as though they came from a retail shop with no image texture problems or obvious “printed photo” signs that I have seen on just about every other inkjet printer. Overall, I am very pleased with both the print speed and the print quality from this printer. Beyond printing, this all in one has many high-end features: scan, copy, auto duplexing, CD/DVD printing, AirPrint, USB direct print, SD Card slot, Epson Connect and Google Cloud Printing, photo enhancement/restoration, and many other functions. The onscreen controls are easy to use and the printer direct features really round out this unit. The Epson iPrint app for your mobile phone is very nice, making photo printing from your phone a snap and offering many other great features. I do wish they made a version with an Auto Document Feeder, but I don’t really have use for an ADF that often so not a big issue and it would be nice if the output tray was automatic, but again, not a big issue. While the price point for this unit is on the high end, once you consider that Epson has included over $1000 worth of ink (at current competitor ink cartridge prices) this is a great value with high quality printing and many features useful for home or office users. Great wireless all in one printer!

Overview: There are 3 main features I am looking for in a printer: wireless connectivity, good quality photos and documents, and low cost of ink. The first feature I am looking for is wireless capabilities. This printer can be used without ever plugging into a PC by connecting directly to Wi-Fi using the built-in touch screen. Additionally, you can scan images directly to your computer or once you register the printer to Epson Connect you can even have scans go directly to cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or even your own email. For printing photos just find the photo you want on your computer and you can print to the printer just as if it was plugged in. The next feature I am looking for is having good quality when printing photos and documents. When compared to a 5+ year old standard ink-jet printer the quality is far superior on this printer for photos. Colors and details are much more vivid on pictures from this printer and being able to print borderless is a huge improvement for photos. Documents are also much crisper and words on the documents pop off the page more than the other printer I had. Finally, the amount of ink in a refill and the cost per refill is a very important feature to me. So far, I have only had the product a week so I cannot say if it will live up to the 2-year ink promise but so far I have not seen the ink levels lower very much after printing about 30 pages of documents and 20 photos. I like that you can see how much ink is left in each color by looking at the tanks and this lets you know when to refill, with other printers you would just have to wait until colors start fading to find out. I was somewhat worried at first on refilling the ink as I was worried of making a mess with the ink but the ink bottles are designed very well and made to only pour ink when inserted correctly into the ink tanks. Pros: Great quality photos, edge to edge printing so that there is no border, scan images/documents directly to cloud services from printer, easily see all ink levels inside tanks. Cons: Difficult initial setup to Epson Connect, lengthier setup time due to filing all ink tanks and first time priming, large learning curve on setting up the paper cassettes (these are where you put the various size papers and adjust guides so that the printer can store multiple types of paper at once). Summary: After using this product for just over a week this printer is leaps and bounds over my old printer which will soon be on its way out. I still feel I have a lot to learn about this product but almost everything so far has been positive on this printer. The Epson ET-7700 - Expression Premium Eco Tank Pr

The Epson ET-7700 - Expression Premium Eco Tank Printer is probably one of the best printers I have used in the past year. I was able to set up the printer in less that 45 minutes, the ink well holds a large capacity of multiple inks including a photo black. I really like that the ink gets loaded easily, does not drip, and has special designed connections different from each other so you cannot mistakenly put the wrong ink in the wrong well. I also like that they supply you one complete refill of each ink bottle. I also like that the tank is easily accessible as most of the time it is located in the printer and you have to mess with the mechanics to get the cartridges in but not with this printer, super easy. The ink bottles self-stop once full and you have a small amount left over that you can save and put in to the tank later once you have printed a few sheets. The paper trays store easily, it even comes with a disk writing label holder. . The printer takes different SD cards and the display screen is crisp, full color and easy to follow. The wireless printing setup was flawless and went smoothly. Very intuitive and interactive. Made my setup time quick and easy which is what I look for in any product. I have printed over 50 pages so far and each page is crisp and clean. I have not had a paper as of yet and I don't see it happening in the near future. The gears are well constructed and run smoothly. I printed photo pictures and the quality was phenomenal. They printed clear, crisp and I was able to hang some of the bakery cakes and desserts up on the wall for customers to view. The printer comes with a more functions features that is packed with some powerful tools, from photo greeting cards to making a coloring book for the kids. Great features. The scanner works great allowing me to scan in special pictures and manipulate them for my customers cakes. One of my favorite features is the printer quiet mode, the printer is super quiet to begin with but when that function is on you can't hear it in the background. The wireless printing is probably in my top three love this printer topics. I was at a client's able to send a picture to my designer and have him look at the design to see if we could do this cake. Great feature. I recommend this printer for anyone looking for a large well printer with lots of features. Very Slick All-In-One Photo Printer

I've used this printer as my main printer for a week now and its been a really great printer so far. I've had several different printers in the past couple of years and I can really see all the technological improvements that have been made with these printers. Epson has spent a lot of time improving both hardware aspects and software aspects. The 2.7" touchscreen makes using the printer very intuitive and simple. Furthermore, you can even complete all the admin settings via the printer's IP address on a web browser. You can view the printer status and make settings changes from the iOS app. This makes everything so much more convenient for those who mostly print from a mobile device. When printing from mobile, this printer has so many different options depending on what you prefer. You can use Apple Airprint, Google Clound Print, or Wifi Direct. There's even a feature where you print by sending a document to your Epson Connect email address. Initial setup of the printer was very easy. It took about 15 mins from unboxing to my first print. I was a little concerned about filling the ink tanks initially but they have really made it idiot proof. The printer comes with two sets of 5 ink bottles (that's the equivalent to 30 sets of ink cartridges or 2 years worth of ink) in the box. The ink bottles are keyed so that you can't put the wrong color ink in the wrong tank. Plus the bottles have an auto close nozzle so it automatically stops filling once the ink tank is full. After filling the ink cartridges, the next step was calibration. It's really great to see that the printer had some calibration test to make sure that all the ink jets are properly aligned. That way I know that all my prints will turn out great. My photo prints turned out great! It's a shame that the printer doesn't include any sample photo paper so don't forget to buy what you need. Its really great that the printer has two separate paper trays so that I can leave my photo paper in one tray and have plain paper in the other tray. With the Super Tank ink cartridge design, I feel like I don't have to worry too much about using up all of my ink. Another years worth of ink only costs $56. Overall this printer has excellent build quality and provides a lot of value. Print quality is great given the 5760 x 1440 DPI max print resolution. Its fairly quiet and it prints fast. Great printer!! This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Excellent printer with one minor flaw

Unbox and Setup: The printer is packed well and was easy to unbox. It comes with a lot of ink (2 years worth they claim - I haven't tested that yet :P ). Setup of the printer was simple, take off packing materials, fill ink and power on. It was very simple. Filling the tanks is very easy - the ink bottles are keyed, so you can't put them in the wrong place and fill the wrong color. Look and Feel: At first I thought the top would be a fingerprint magnet being that it looks glossy, but it has a dotted surface all over that looks great and keeps fingerprints off. The printer is compact, and expands as needed with the page feeder in the back, and the paper tray for printed pages which can be hidden when printer isn't printing. Functionality: Has 2 main trays, One for your normal printer paper and another tray for photo paper at various sizes. It also has a third slot at the top in the back for single load paper. The issue I have here is that the regular paper tray holds only 100 sheets. While that makes for a compact printer, it means you could be filling it constantly, and you can't fit a whole ream of paper in it. It also comes with a CD/DVD Lots of connectivity options, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and USB, along with app connectivity, SD and USB host. I have printed very simply from my Windows 10 devices (laptop and phone) and my Android phone. Pros: Compact, fast, quiet, great connectivity options, color reproduction is good (I printed several photos and the contrast is very good). You can always see the level of the ink Cons: CD/DVD printing (I list this as a con simply because it is 2017 and I don't think it is really necessary to build that into printers anymore). The main paper tray is very small (100 sheets). Overall: The paper out tray is supposed to extend and retract automatically, but at least on my model it doesn't do this at all so for this I removed one star - and only one because I can leave it extended and not worry about it. Besides this the printer works fantastically and I am really excited about the tanks being so large and the printer coming with so much ink! This printer has everything I could have wanted and then some. This was my first time trying an EcoTank printer and I have to say, I'm a believer! The printer came with easy to follow instructions, but I do have to say it was more of a process than I was expecting. You have to open each of the ink bottles and empty them into the printer. It's not a huge deal, but it's not as easy as clicking in a cartridge. That being said, I would much rather go through this process than have to spend a fortune on ink. It also comes with a TON of ink. Enough to fill the tanks more than twice. I'm very confident I won't be shopping for ink in the near future. Prints look clean and sharp, as to be expected. The double sided print function works very well, and is a very welcomed function. The paper tray is a bit smaller than I was expecting. The 2nd tray (yes there are 2) is not large enough for a letter size paper. Having a 2nd tray is great for always having photo paper on the ready, but I would have liked the option to double up on letter size paper. Scanning works as expected and is easy to use via the screen. Speaking of the screen, It is adequate, but I would have liked to see a higher resolution and touch screen on a printer at this price point. However it is bright enough and does it's job well for what it is. The internet connectivity is amazing. Up until now, I've been using a wired printer. Switching to a wifi printer is a gamechanger. The iphone app worked perfectly for me and my computer found the printer almost immediately. The process of connecting to wifi is simple and straightforward. I like having the option to connect to AirPrint or Google Cloud Print. The addition of USB, SD and ethernet is great to have. I no longer have to use my computer as a bridge to my printer. Overall, this printer exceeded my expectations. Yes, the price is pretty high, but you buy this printer knowing you will have consistent prints and nice features. It also looks the part, and has a premium build quality. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend it to anyone searching for a high end Wifi printer. When I got this product and opened it up the first impression was that it was a decent size printer and there was a lot of stuff in the box. It turned out that there were multiple ink bottles to get you set up and to refill in the future when you need to. Set up went smooth, just make sure to pay attention to the instructions and do things in the correct order and everything will go smoothly. adding the ink was very cool. You literally pour the ink into the tanks from a bottle. It is clean and easy and you can see the print tanks filling up as you do it. I was very impressed. They also give you a second set of full ink bottles to use when you run out of your first set. As for print quality, it is very nice. I printed documents and they came out crisp and clean. I tried photographs from my computer on regular paper and it did cause the paper to curl because there was a lot of ink so I got some photo paper in both 8x11 and 4x6 and they came out much better. With the 8x11 I used best quality with no borders via WIFI from my note 8 and the picture came out amazing. Colors were very good, not overblown, but balanced and natural and I could detect any individual dots or pixels. It took just over 3 minutes to print the whole page which I am very impressed with. Overall the printer is very fast. Scanning is a pretty straight forward affair with nothing that really differentiated it from other printer. It looked good and was clear and easy enough to use. Wifi was very easy to set up on both my windows 10 laptop and my phone. They both found the printer easily and worked from the first print. The only thing I am not the biggest fan of is the print tray that catches your paper. It has to be manually pulled out every time you want to print. It is not a major drawback given the picture quality and the ink technology but worth noting. All in all, this is a very nice printer and the ink is a game changer. I cant say enough about how much I like this method. Despite being a beta tester, my opinion is my own. Incredible value for a small printer!

Frankly, when I saw the size of the printer, I figured it was probably like any other desktop printer I've ever used. With desktop printers, the quality is always sub-par, the ink runs out fast, and you cannot print lab-quality photos, so none are really worth the investment when you can just print photos at the nearest supermarket. Much to my surprise, even the test print came out looking laser quality, and better. I started setting up the WiFi and the connected printing options, convinced that my HP printer would still reign king of the connected printers, but I found that all the same options and more were available to me. I happen to be a Google Fiber customer, so I use my Google Drive and Google utilities a lot, so when I found that I could use the Google Print features, I was simply ecstatic! This has helped quite a bit when my sister needs to send me a document that I need to fill out, or when she has a picture she wants printed with professional quality. The flexible options for printing on CDs, professionaly photo paper, and more are just phenomenal! I decided to head to the store and buy a ream of glossy photo paper to print on, so I could test the quality of the print and the ink life promised. I was convinced that this printer would go through ink faster than it stated. The quality of the photo prints were STUNNING, and the software both on my computer and the mobile app made each print look phenomenal! I was so impressed by the quality, that I printed about 50 full page sets to give to family, and to my surprise, the ink levels barely were impacted. I think I have finally fallen in love with a printer! The edge printing and disc printing were equally as impressive. Perfect edge-to-edge printing with no smudges or distortions, and disc printing was phenomenally easy with the equipped disc tray. I don't think I'll ever consider another printer! Great printer for college students

I am very happy with this printer, with the experience on buying around 3 printers overall, this has been the best so far hands down. I have always been loyal when buying printers and I stay on the same brand, but this printer has everything I and my family need. First, the unboxing of the printer was super easy. Everything was on place and ready to be pull out and setup. No crazy cables like the old printers I used to have. The instructions of the printer were clear when removing safety stickers and foam. When I got to the setting up I felt kind of nervous of spilling the ink all over the place. Wow! I was amazed on how easy it was to pour the ink inside the printer. The bottles just locked into place with the printer. I just lined up the patters and boom! The bottles would connect, and ink started flowing by itself and automatically stopped when it filled up. There was no way I could have spilled the ink. After this there was a bit of confusion on how to initialize the printer but that was no issue, I just hoped on YouTube and watched a video on how to set up that part on the official Epson YouTube channel. That video was a massive help for me and guided me. After everything was ready, I used the printer for various jobs. Scanning my school paper work, printing essays and copying paper work. Everything came out perfect. Fast and super clean with no issues of the paper getting stuck. Two things that surprised me was how I can insert different size of paper and the tray can be easily be adjusted depending on the size of the paper, and that I CAN PRINT ON CD/DVD! How amazing is that!!! AND print, copy and scan WIRELESSLY! Overall, I am super happy with this printer and I will no longer buy ink cartridges that cost $30 and get empty in a couple of days. I am a college student living with 3 other college students and we love what this printer is capable of! I recently got to test this printer out and I am now wondering why someone hasn't thought of doing something like this before now. First off, removing this printer from the box was even easier than other printers I have had. Setup was extremely easy. Just follow the directions on the Quick Start page and you are done in 15 minutes. Make sure that when you are removing all of the tape and other packing materials that you do not mess with the plastic cover that goes over the ink tubes. This is a nice looking printer that doesn't take up a lot of room. It features a control panel that can be adjusted. The screen is not a touch screen which would have been nice but not necessary. This printer provided good quality prints on everything that I tested it out with, photos, documents, etc. The best part of this printer is the Eco-tank. This printer comes with enough ink for 2 years! I can't say how many times I have been printing something when the ink cartridge went dry. With this printer, you can visually see exactly how much ink is left. A huge plus! Instead of using cartridges, this little gem uses bottles of ink. So whenever it looks low, just add another bottle. I remember trying to use a refillable ink cartridge years ago. By the end of it, I had ink all over my hands and my printer. No such problem with this printer. Simply life the cover, locate the ink that is low and lift the lid, slide the bottle in and you are done. I filled all 5 colors without getting a single drop on me or anything else. I am hoping that other printer companies catch on to this idea. Overall, this is a nice printer for the home or office, especially for those that do a lot of volume printing. An elite printer that gets the job done

First and most importantly, the quality of printing from the Epson ET-7700 is amazing and I say that with absolutely no equivocation whatsoever. The printing I have done on it thus far, has been the best of any home printer we have had. I also enjoy the easy to use interface on the printer itself. The screen is an appropriate size, easy to read, and the usability/navigation is intuitive. Mobile printing is spot on as well. I was able to set up printer with my home WIFI and connect easily to all my Android and PC devices (smartphone, tablet, and laptop). A major plus of this printer is the ink/cartridge free printing. The amount of printing you can do with the ink that comes with the package, offers amazing value. It claims to include up to 2 yrs. of ink, and print up to 14,000 black/white, and 9,000 in color – and I absolutely believe it. Coupled with that, it has the ability to do double-sided printing, which offers opportunity for less paper waste (which is important to me). The ability to print without PC via memory card and USB slots are also nice features. The only drawbacks I can identify thus far are the setup time to get up and running and the actual size. Setup time took me about 45-60 minutes, so not an enormous amount of time, but felt myself getting a little frustrated. After I got it up and running, stress subsided, and I was actually very pleased with the initial few test printing jobs I ran. The other concern is size. The ET-7700 is on the larger side for home printing options. It does take up considerable amount of desk space. With that said, it’s not oversized by any means, and its overall value and quality supersede either of these small concerns. If you’re looking for quality, value, and a printer that does everything it promises, and does all those things well, the ET-7700 is a product I would highly recommend. Epson EcoTank ET-7700 All-In-One Printer

First, let me just say I was super excited when I received my Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-In-One Printer! I couldn’t wait to get it out of the package, set up and begin to play with my new toy. I know really geeky of me but it’s ok that’s just who I am. Printer was super easy to set up. Once you get everything taken out of the packing there is a super easy to follow guide that says, “Start Here” on it. This explains how to unpack the printer, how to fill the tanks, how to load the paper, and how to install the software on your computer. Once you get everything unpacked, filling the tanks are easy. The tanks are marked and so are the ink bottles. The instructions tell you exactly what to do to fill the tanks. It took very little instruction, only watching me once and my 14-year-old now knows how to fill the tanks on the printer properly. He also stated that it was simple and “fun” to do. Installing the software on my computer was simple too. Once I inserted the CD into my computer I just let the instillation software run until it was done only interacting with it when it needed me to. I used the wireless setting so that I didn’t have to directly hook the printer up to my computer. This way it also lets other members of my family print to my printer also. Just makes things easier for me and cuts down on the amount of cords behind my computer. The printer does a wonderful job printing just about everything from pictures to documents. It also does a wonderful job copying documents and scanning in pictures to my computer. I couldn’t ask for anything more from this printer at this point. The colors are crisp, clean and the ink doesn’t smudge when the print comes out of the printer. If you are looking for a good all-in-one printer this one is the one for you! I was given an opportunity to test out this printer and I have been absolutely impressed with it right out of the box. The packaging describes everything to expect from Epson and their quality printers. The bold styling lets you know that this printer is going to be your home or office companion for a long time.I have bought and used many different printers in the past and know what name brands stand out among the rest, so I wasn't expecting anything less than an absolute quality product from Epson. Unboxing and setup was very easy. Ink cartridge installation and filling the Eco-Tank was quite an interesting new concept and very enjoyable experience. The full color instructions and manual were very clear and not inundated with useless jargon or hard to follow guidelines or wording. I can say nothing but great things about this printer and it's design. All your reasons to buy this product are right here in this review. Epson continues to manufacture top-of-the-line consumer products, and will always stay one-step ahead of the innovative curve. By far the best choice for brand name quality, and the overall performance one would expect from a company who has been making and selling quality electronics for many years. Overall, my experience with the printer has been nothing short of outstanding and I am sure that anyone who buys this printer will experience similar results and will be glad they made the purchase.
