Great printer

Thought we'd try an Epson this time. This printer is compact but with all features one needs and on sale too. Very user friendly--a breeze to set up. She is happy with her gift.

difficult set up

Instructions a bit arcane, but once you get it figured out it works fine. Just have to remember to do things in order, IOW, turn on power before sending the "print" command. If you send "print" and then turn on the power, it will just sit there and think. Also, will not print until the tray is extended; took us a bit of time to figure which tray they were referring to. Part of the complicated architecture is because it's so compact, but that feature makes it fit nicely into a small space. Just be prepared to spend an hour or more on the setup.

Epson Printer

Found out this engineering annoyance was still part of the newer version so I had to return it.

I'm happy with it

It has been four years and in that time I have never had any issues. My phone and tablet connectes via wifi no problem. It has been housed inside of a small cabinet. Never has overheated or anything else negative.

Love the fact that it prints 2 sided so that I save paper, I don't like the fact that I keep hitting my leg on the lift up front since it is sitting on a shelf below knee level. If I had room to put it somewhere else it would have gotten a 5 star review.
