The printer prints well also with doubled side printing which is very convenient, and satisfying. Love the updates, and ease of use. Great printer for the money.

We wanted a all-in-one with a flat top so that the possibility of the cats mucking up the feeder was reduced. This compact all-in-one does a good job of that, it's a little fiddly to have to open the front and pull out the tray every time, but hey, less cat hair on the documents! Print quality seems fine so far, still on the first ink cartridges so no comment or experience yet on that in terms of how long they last or how expensive they are.

I purchased this printer to replace two other Epson printers that were at least 8 years old. It has a capability (not used yet) of printing on DVDs or CDs) which I sometimes do. It has a small footprint and a low profile. It was easy to set up and connect to my network. The drawers for paper and photo paper are a bit akward to use, but once you get used to them, they are satisfactory. My only concern is the amount of ink used. I don't do a lot of printing and I have had the printer set up since 12/15/16 and I have already replaced the black cartridge and the colors are giving me warnigs that they are low. I have not used the color feature for printing yet.

This was a printer purchased for extremely occasional usage. It's wireless feature made it even better! It's quick, it's quiet, it's a piece of cake to use and the price was great!!!

I did a lot of research and read several reviews before chosing the Epson printer. I wanted something smaller to save space. Easy set up. Prints quickly. Picture printing is great.

** If you do NOT use ORIGINAL BRAND NAME INK CATRIDGES... this printer is NOT for you!! (it will NOT recognize them) **
This is a solid compact all-on-one (no fax), but with a very quirky design.
If you're used to an HP... you should probably pass on this printer (unless you're up for something different?!).
Prints well in B&W and color photo. It's quick compared to printers in the same class and has great features.

I really, REALLY like this printer. Set up wasn't too bad - a little quirky getting my laptop tied into the network with it; got my phone on wi-fi direct with it. It prints beautifully on my home network or if I want to print right off of my phone. I haven't used the scanner yet. And it comes with a removable tray to print on CDs, (I probably won't use, but it stores nicely out of the way).
It prints beautifully - has duplex function to print on both sides. Control panel flips up, adjustable from 0 - 90°, and all the menus, submenus display on the screen.
When not in use, everything closes up, leaving a nice, tidy package.

I have several Epson printers and they always deliver excellent print quality. Like all printers I wish ink usage was a little less but this printer is excellent. Easy to set up.

I would change the feature of having to open the front to pull out the drawer. I'm afraid to leave it all open collecting dust, while using the print by email feature of the printer.

Easy set up, good quality prints, easy to print wirelessly from multiple device types. Only down side is the output tray, located in an awkward, hard to find spot and flimsy.

We got this printer for our preschool. We use this printer to print photos most the time. It doesn't need to connect to a computer because it comes with a screen. It prints various photos on a page.and its wifi friendly. The price is great because we got it on
sale.

I previously had an Epson XP-610 that expired. I was satisfied with that printer, although was really never happy with its photo printing. Based on Consumer Reports reviews, I decided to go with the Epson XP-640, which is very similar to the old 610. But I'm pleased to say that the scan time is much quicker, setup was very easy, and the black and white copies have turned out perfectly clear. There can be a bit of initial wireless lag time for the 1st copy, but after that it prints very quickly. I haven't tried printing a photo yet, but printing photos at home isn't a major factor for me.

I had the Epson XP-630 for a long time until it finally quit on me so I bought the 640 model. I like the 630 model better as if you want to print on both sides of paper it would reverse the paper automatically NOT so with the 640 model, you have to manually reverse the paper by taking paper out of tray and putting it back into paper tray #2. This is not an improvement on the printer. Still uses same amount of ink as the 630 model
