I purchased the Epson XP-7100. It is bar none the worst printer I have ever purchased. The text runs into each other and the photo quality is poor regardless of how many times I clean and align the print heads.....the printing is poor.

    AMAZING! Perfect Personal Use Printer

This is my third Epson Printer and Epson has not yet failed as far as quality and usage. I had Office sized ones to this compact small in one - daily house/in home office use. After opening the box, it takes about 10-15 minutes to fully set up. It comes with a CD/DVD rom for you to install the printer to configure but I do not have a CD drive in my computer but you can get everything you need to set up via their website in the support section. Also, this is be your way up configuring your printer if you have a smaller laptop that doesnt include a disk drive. *** Once you get near the end of installing all needed software, you can pick your type of connection. I have a few USB cables but for this I wanted to test out more of the Wireless capabilities from in my office and having it in a neutral area for multiple family members could you use since it's size and nice and seek, possibly the living room for easy access 'grab & go'. It was now time to test out. I did not notice the printer noise being any quieter (improved) but it wasn't a bad noise and quailty was nice. I then moved the printer (which was the real test) and plugged it in the living room. Nothing changed, all the settings were there (mind you I've never moved a printer) and tested it. It was nice being that the distance I went - the page was printed and ready to go. After that test, I moved it back into my home computer room and tested the scan and copier. The scan was nice, no surpise there then went to make a copy. Thumbs up to both of those areas. Although the loading tray seems like it could be easily broken if handled roughly. OVERALL (if you made it this far into my review): The size of the printer is perfect for someone with not alot of room to worth with that needs a printer. It was easy to set up and the price is unbeatable. It's good for your basic needs as it comes to a printer. It's not a loud printer and prints quite fast. Wireless capability makes it easy to keep it in an area without running a USB cable or wired connection. I would say if you need a printer for small projects at home use or a student - this is a keeper. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

This is the worst printer I have ever used. It is never connected even when it is hardwired. If I could I would return this immediately. Unfortunately it took time to find out how horrible it works if it works at all.

I was excited to use my new Epson printer. I do own an Epson photo printer that I absolutely love but I’ve always used another brand for my home printer so I was on the fence on this printer. The printer was packed pretty well there was a lot of things taped down but it didn’t take long to get it set up. I am not sure why there was a small Ziploc bag for the ink caps but I used it anyway. It was easy to install the ink cartridges too. I installed the drivers on my computer using the CD that came along with the printer without any issues my laptop and Epson printer were getting along without issues and both were connected to my network so I got off to a good start. My daughter had to work on a science project to we tested out several functions of the printer. The scanner scanned several photos that we needed to make copies of which we did not have any issues. The printer was easy to load with plain copy paper and the print on the paper was good. Nice and clear print. I think it was a good quality print for this product. We did print a few photos (on photo paper) and the color quality is very good too. My twelve-year-old daughter did several of these functions by herself so the printer is very user friendly. The speed of the print is pretty good hardly a delay in printing after giving the command to print. The bonus is that this printer is compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Overall, I really like this Epson XP-7100 printer/scanner.

Unpacked, installed ink, turned on. Printer sounded like an unsynchronized transmission. Gears grinding . When I tried to copy, the feed jammed. Returned and exchanged the printer for a HP I read good reviews but I probably got a lemon.

literally the worst printer ever. Had it for 1 year and it worked correctly once. The ink prints horribly on the paper, paper always jams and the quality is just awful. It started smoking and now just will not turn on.

Great Printer for a Great Price

Epson has long been known as one of the leaders in the printer business alongside other big boys like HP and Lexmark. Overall they're known for their reliability and affordability, but the Epson XP-7100 makes a big leap into a tiny space - that is, this thing is small but powerful! Out of the box, the printer is secured with plenty of blue tape and protective coverings (be sure you get them all off!) Inserting the ink cartridges and calibration takes a few minutes, but that's standard these days for any quality inkjet printer. I found the configuration of the wifi to be easy and straightforward. The setup to my Mac was quick and painless and the included drivers CD and availability of drivers online makes setup easy for any computer out there. The brilliance of the XP-7100 comes to light when it's finally time to use the printer. After placing some paper in the paper tray and clicking "print" on my computer, a magical hidden piece slid out from the front of the printer to hold my printed paper. When it was done, there's an icon on the screen to slide the tray back in. Genius for small spaces (and less dust mess). There's also built-in trays for printing on CDs, photo paper, and more. This thing does it all, and by the way, it does it well. The print quality is phenomenal on plain paper or photo paper. For those who want to print photos at home or make a DVD or CD as a gift, this printer is for you. I'm very much looking forward to exploring more of what this printer can do, but from the few days I've had it now, its small footprint, easy setup, and incredibly versatile uses will make this the go-to printer for my household for years to come. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
