Best printer ive ever had!

First off setting up was easy quick and painless. I followed the start up pamphlet and had it set up in about 20 minutes which is quick for a printer that can do so much! I love that i can print from my phone or computer. Being a busy mom its nice just to print from my phone! I also take so many pictures and i like that i can just print them out and the print quality is just as good as Walgreens or Walmart but cheaper! Scanning is super easy as well! Another great thing about this printer is that its small enough to go anywhere i put it in my room on a shelf and it fits perfectly! The only cons that the printer may have with it is the ink may run out quick because the ink cartridges are small. It really just depends how much you use it! Overall i would give it 4 stars! Definitely worth buying!

Epson XP-7100 - Small, quiet, easy and fast

The color quality, photo quality and additional printing features have always been worth getting the high end Epson printers. The XP-7100 is no exception - it was easy to set up out of the box, following the clearly printed directions. Connecting to WiFi was easy, and getting the software for my Mac and PC from epson.com was just as simple. The software found and connected to the printer wirelessly without a hitch, and I usually have issues getting the first connection to work. I even got my Android phone to connect and was able to print emails, documents and photos from any room of the house on the XP-7100. Having the black pigment based ink for plain text documents is a nice touch - I’ll let the kids use it for text printing too, where my current Epson has the expensive dye inks for all printing; photos and text. Text quality rivals my laser printer and it is faster to print a single sheet from cold startup than my laser printer. I didn’t have any printable DVD’s around to test the DVD printing, but I’ve found it to work exceptionally well in the past on Epson printers and I expect no less with this one. I can’t judge from a short test (just a week so far) how long the cartridges will last, but Epson offers both standard capacity and high capacity refill cartridges, and the printer will continue to allow you to scan even if the ink is out in one color. Nice touch, Epson! Scanning and copying worked without a hitch, and the ADF is a blessing when you have multiple pages in a document you need to scan in. The new driver software allowed me to scan to any computer I had connected it to before right from the printer, without having to go to the laptop and start any software or scanning. Scanning photos is equally simple, although I do sit right beside the printer while I’m doing that. I’ve been in the process of digitizing my library of photos from the 50’s (grandparents) to 90’s (me and my parents). Image quality from scanned photos is excellent and you can crank the resolution up high enough to see the paper grain on the photo. That’s easy to take care of though with the Epson software. This is an excellent multifunction printer with true CMYK dye ink for long lasting photos and a separate pigment black for plain text printing. It’s easy to set up, fast to start up and run, and has all the features a home user or individual in an office would want. I am quite impressed with this small printer! Didn’t work out of the box
