Good functionality, subpar software

Overall, this printer is a good value for the money. Fairly easy to set up, takes up less desk space than other printers, and has an electronic retracting panel and tray that also help to save space. The one downside is the software for printing - I don't find it to be very user friendly, and scanning gives you limited options to rename files and where to save them. Plus there are multiple applications for the printer, vs. having just one for all functionality.

Great little printer. Nice size, Easy to use with IPhone or MacAir laptop. Isn’t as fast as a larger business type, but it’s sufficient for home use. This Epson replaced an HP printer that was worthless, despite being used only a couple times and still under warranty. My daughter who goes to grad school has an Epson and she recommended the brand.

Nice printer, good price, compact size, would buy it again, the touch pad where the on/off button seems flimsy per se because when you press the button to close it, the panel moves in, it is not rigid per se. Overall good copier and I enjoy using it and would recommend it. I just would like the on/off panel to be rigid when turning it on and off.

it is not easy to open the bottom trays to load paper. All the other compartments come out when trying to load paper. I had to shut down the screen various times to get to load the paper for the tray to come out.
Unable to email scan documents to myself. It is asking to download various apps and when I do the process is still not completed. I like the size and quality of prints.

As someone who has always been at the mercy of other people’s printers that may or may not have been old and glitchy, I was very satisfied with this printer! It does everything I need as I work from home. The clarity of the print jobs is amazing. Even the auto tray feature when you hit print works flawlessly. I haven’t tried printing pictures yet but my assumption is that it will be stellar.

This printer has a small footprint so I'm able to set it in close proximity of where I work. Setting on my desk it actually has a very good aesthetic look. The only thing I might change is to give it a fax capability.

photo display is very good with epson photo paper. cons:it seems to disapppear and have to be restarted occasionally. note: aged photo paper will give darken photos. previous epson artisan 810 was much better with any type photo paper in my opinion.

This little machine is excellent for common and ordinary simple office use. The colors are clear, it uses limited ink, it is easy to set up and the response from a computer is very quick. We just like the way it functions!! Thank you

There are two different paper trays that are stacked very close together, and are somewhat bothersome to separate. Because the machine is pretty compact compared to my last one, you can't load many sheets for either. It may be possible to remove the smaller Tray 1, but I haven't tried that. It is fairly quiet when printing, but kind of a pain to set up. Also, it uses cartridges, which I was trying to avoid, so if you're looking for a printer that takes liquid ink this ain't it. Print quality is good enough for my needs. I haven't tried to print any photos with it.

So far so good. Easy to configure and install software, connect to network, etc. 99% of the time it prints fast enough for me. However, once every 3rd blue moon, it will take forever to print a simple black and white text page. Luckily, it’s only happened 3 times, but you just gotta wonder what the heck it’s doing. Otherwise, it’s been very zippy.

I like this printer. It's quiet, works well with all of my systems/phones/etc. and gets pretty decent output per ink cartridge. Two trays to load a few different sizes of paper is also a plus. The color matching to what I'm seeing on my monitor is definitely it's strongest point. I think it's the first sub-$500 printer I've used that matches color so well. My reasoning for only 4 stars is the mechanics of the flip screen and paper trays. The top tray tends to push in too far, so you have to lift the screen and pull it out a little and the screen itself is in the way. I like that it automatically opens and closes, but I wish it was a bit higher on the unit so as to not block the trays.
