Second purchase - Good printer overall

This is my second one. I had it previously and it worked for about 2 years before it stopped working. It should last longer if you use genuine cartridges.

A very easy-to-use printer

Like all printers it does NOT come with a USB cord, but this thing had no problems connecting to my wireless network and we were up and printing in minutes. Great printer for the price; this was purchased mostly for the ability to print directly onto printable CDs/DVDs, and I am not disappointed.

Good printer for low print useage

We thought it would be sufficient but the lag time between print request and actual printing was too long. Also it would make noises (like print head adjusting or something similar) long after the last document was printed. This printer would be sufficient for anyone that seldom needed to print but it isn't going to work for me, especially with a lot of periodic printing. Returned the printer and purchased another Epson printer but one that was a bit more robust for a great price. It is too soon to tell if this new printer replacement will be sufficient but the response time from 'print' a document to the actual printing is great, much better than this Epson model XP-7100. Again this model is sufficient for 'one off' printing.
