This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This is my third review of Epson printers over the last couple of years so I'm fairly familiar with these printers. Setting up has always been super easy with Epson printers. Part of the fun was tearing off of the tape on the shipping box. Total setup time was about 20 minutes. That includes unboxing, pulling all the little blue tap has been removed from the printer itself, loading in the ink cartridges (only shake the black ink), letting the printer initialize, and having it connect to our wi-fi network. Additionally if you installed the software/drive from the CD and hooked up the printer via USB cable setup the network that way too, if you didn't want to do it from the front control panel. However the front panel is very easy to use, touch screen, large icons, setup wizards...etc. First time going through setup, it takes you through adjusting the print heads and such, so be prepared to have the paper tray loaded. After about 8 pages, my printer was setup properly and ready to accept print jobs from the household. I have 2 teenage kids in middle and high school so there is always things to print. First up was a 9 page report, completed very quick. Tried a couple of PowerPoint slides and while the color took a little longer, it was bright and clean. Text quality is good, certainly on just as good if not better than some of the other Epsons I've used in the past. I've not yet tried printing photos on photo paper but that is on my list to try, I'm expecting it to be just as good if not better as my other Epsons. I'm also very excited to try printing on DVD/CD. Scanning documents with the auto feeder is quick and painless, very helpful when you're having to scan multiple documents. I tested scanning various documents as well as photos. you can let the software use it's defaults or you can user your own settings and setup different profiles for each type of scan. I used Adobe PDF as well as a couple applications with scanner capability and all of them had no problems with using the scanner. To be totally transparent, I did run into 1 problem after running through the initial tests over the span of 3 days. During the initial setup, once you've got the printer connected to the network, it recognizes that there is a firmware update available and it asks if you want it updated. I skipped it at first so that I could start my testing and review. Going back to to update the firmware via the control panel was easy. However, the first time around the printer got stuck (or maybe it became unresponsive). The control panel just said "do not power off, firmware upgrade in progress" (or something like that) and power buttone just flashing. I left it alone and just figured it would complete on it's own. Well after 18 hours, the printer was showing the same message. There was not an option to press a cancel button so the only option was to power cycle the printer and hope it didn't turn it into a brick. Luckily after the power cycle the printer came back and works normally. I used the Epson Software Updater the second time around and it updated the firmware as well as the other Epson software (drivers and utilities) automatically and without any issues. The footprint of this printer is small which is nice since desk space is limited. For so many features, and with an auto-feeder, the small size is greatly appreciated. The output tray automatically retracts and comes out, which makes it easier to keep in small spaces. In my opinion this is a nice small home or small office usage printer that is easy to set up, fast, and highly convenient thanks to its many ways of connecting to various devices, its features such as auto-feed and double-sided printing, and its ability to do some work even without a computer connected to it (web printing, print from your phone or tablet, print from a USB memory stick or a SD memory card) makes it very convenient!

For years, I’ve been using the same old printer to do all my personal printing needs at home. While the prints were sub-par at times, it still met our needs. But just recently, I hate the opportunity to try the brand new Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer. I had no idea that printers have come so far in the short amount of years since I last purchased one. I quickly unboxed this fantastic printer and installed the included ink cartridges and plugged it in. Upon turning it on, the printer took approximately 7 minutes to do its initial setup process. While it was setting itself up (for me), I went to grab a new stack of paper. I have a handful of work documents that I needed to print for my national sales meeting over the next few days, so this was an opportune time to try out this new printer. Once it finished, I loaded up a portion of paper into the automatic feeder and went into the Wi-Fi settings to connect it to my router. From there, I realized that I had no need to use my laptop OR even plug the printer into any of my devices. From my phone, I installed the Epson app from the Google Play Store and it proceeded to locate my printer on my network. Now I’d like to point out that I also had the option to set up a Wi-Fi Direct connection with my phone, which requires no router to connect and print, but I opted to traffic the printing through my router. A few simple clicks and I was ready to go. I opened my PDF document on my phone, hit print, and out came my document. I did the same with an Excel file, then a few more PDF’s. They all went through the machine like butter, without one single hiccup. The final document was a full page color (with LOTS of dark colors) document that I admittingly was a little hesitant to print. It went a bit slower with a few short pauses, but it seemed to be allowing the ink to dry enough to proceed without the page smudging or streaking. It finally came out picture perfect. The only observances I had throughout the entire process was that the printer, during setup and while printing, was no super quiet. There does seem to be a setting for this, but it says that it slows down the printing process, so I opted against using this setting. I am certainly satisfied with this printer and look forward to sending many more documents through it in the coming weeks, months and years. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This in no way swayed my usage or opinion of this printer.

    Solid Printer for Home Use

As I pulled the printer out the box I noticed it was appealing and sleek but some parts (ie. the drawers) were flimsy. Not as solid as previous printers in regards to the quality of the paper loading drawers and the flip top scanning tray. I pulled off all the blue tape which secured the printer in the package and followed the instructions on how to place the cartridges in the printer. There are a total of 5 cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, photo black and regular black). The regular black cartridge is double the size of the color cartridges which is nice because I normally print all of my documents in black and white. The printer also has a CD drawer to print directly onto a CD, a drawer to print on photo paper and a third drawer for regular paper. In a home setting it would be fine but this printer would not last in an office setting. The printer also has USB and SD card slots to easily access pictures from your camera. It took me about 10-15 minutes to follow the prompts on the screen for set up. I was able to quickly set up the printer on my network which gave everyone in my household capability to print from their laptops or cell phones. We haven't had any problems with printing from Windows and Mac platforms. I have had issues with printing from some apps such as coupons.com but I am hoping to troubleshoot this soon (I have had issues with this app from other printers). Scanning was simple either using the button on the printer or the printer tab. The print quality is great for documents. Nothing exceptional but definitely top of the line for an inkjet printer. Overall, I would recommend for a basic everyday document/photo printer at home. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review Pros: Decent Quality Print Easy to Use and Set Up Wireless capability Quiet Fast Cons: Somewhat Flimsy Does Not have single cartridge capability Issues with getting certain apps to print

Great Home Office Printer for Small spaces

This thing is compact and FULL of features! Color Printing, Scanning, Faxing and photo printing just in a nice compact form factor. This printer is a definite winner for smaller spaces where you need an all in one but don’t want to take up a whole desk. Set up is a breeze. Took a whole 5 minutes. The hardest part as usual is tearing all the blue tape from it. They locked the printer down in every possible way with the tape to prevent any movement during shipping. This particular test unit came with single cartridges for each of the colors including a Photo Black one for color Photo printing. Powering up the system for the first time took around 7 minutes. The handy touchscreen kept me informed each step of the way. With Printer head alignment and color corrections, it took about 15 minutes total to set the entire thing up. I love setting up devices and then getting firmware updates. That’s the beauty of the connected devices. It just gets better over time and the mighty Epson delivered on the firmware update. Like the prior Epson printers I have reviewed, this one has a nice clear bright touchscreen on the front for set up. I chose to set up the system using Wi-Fi but there was a connection for a hardwire if that was something you wanted to use. This printer is pretty inexpensive and for that trade-off, it’s not the fastest printer out there or the most quiet. In fact, it’s kind of loud. ;) I might be spoiled by my Epson ET-7750 though. Setting up home printers these days is dead simple. Hooked up to WiFi and printing pictures directly from my iPhone in literal minutes. But for it’s size and price, this is a great printer for normal business documents and I’ve been using it throughout the day without issues. For a home office with moderate printing requirements, this is more than enough printer. Printers have come a long way. I am replacing my Canon MX870 with this Epson XP-7100. My Canon broke my fault and was ready to see what was new after many years with the Canon. Things I was looking for in 2018: Solid Build Quality, Ethernet, Scan to PDF, Looks and of course Price. I went to several stores with a serious preference for finding another Canon Printer. I noticed the build quality of the Canons seemed worse than my MX870. I then noticed that the Epsons were much higher build quality and the $100 off sealed the deal.. features checked out time to try Epson. Set up was fine here are some tips: Make sure you remove ALL packing materials including those hidden by the INK under the scanner or you will get an error. Once all packing materials are removed setup is a breeze. So make sure everything is clear first. I went through setup as they said without connecting to the PC... calibrated it (very thorough calibration steps). Then set up Wired Ethernet (DHCP) to my router. Updated Firmware on the Printer. Then downloaded the software from Epson. Set up the software which then did another firmware update and it was good. To set up my wireless devices software download then selected WIRED NETWORK and since the printer was connected to the router the software found it just fine. This streamlines the setup no need for Wi-FI direct if you already have a Wi-Fi network. Some other notes: The output tray can automatically slide in and slide out so make sure you have some room in front for the sliding out tray. Too many things want to start up (3 Epson things) so I disabled them in Startup in Control Panel on my Surface, still prints fine without them on my Surface Pro 4, I don't like a lot of background apps. I left them on my desktop where I do scanning only bothers me on other devices. Good to know you don't actually need them to print. Overall impressed with the hardware, software, ease of setup, size and has some nice more modern features like cloud print /mobile stuff. In all exactly what I needed at a great price. Looks great and was able to place it where it belongs due to its smaller size. Great job Epson been years since I had a dot-matrix Epson. I'm back.

Epson XP-7100 - Small, quiet, easy and fast

I’ve long been a customer of Epson printers. The color quality, photo quality and additional printing features have always been worth getting the high end Epson printers. The XP-7100 is no exception - it was easy to set up out of the box, following the clearly printed directions. Connecting to WiFi was easy, and getting the software for my Mac and PC from epson.com was just as simple. The software found and connected to the printer wirelessly without a hitch, and I usually have issues getting the first connection to work. I even got my Android phone to connect and was able to print emails, documents and photos from any room of the house on the XP-7100. Having the black pigment based ink for plain text documents is a nice touch - I’ll let the kids use it for text printing too, where my current Epson has the expensive dye inks for all printing; photos and text. Text quality rivals my laser printer and it is faster to print a single sheet from cold startup than my laser printer. I didn’t have any printable DVD’s around to test the DVD printing, but I’ve found it to work exceptionally well in the past on Epson printers and I expect no less with this one. I can’t judge from a short test (just a week so far) how long the cartridges will last, but Epson offers both standard capacity and high capacity refill cartridges, and the printer will continue to allow you to scan even if the ink is out in one color. Nice touch, Epson! Scanning and copying worked without a hitch, and the ADF is a blessing when you have multiple pages in a document you need to scan in. The new driver software allowed me to scan to any computer I had connected it to before right from the printer, without having to go to the laptop and start any software or scanning. Scanning photos is equally simple, although I do sit right beside the printer while I’m doing that. I’ve been in the process of digitizing my library of photos from the 50’s (grandparents) to 90’s (me and my parents). Image quality from scanned photos is excellent and you can crank the resolution up high enough to see the paper grain on the photo. That’s easy to take care of though with the Epson software. This is an excellent multifunction printer with true CMYK dye ink for long lasting photos and a separate pigment black for plain text printing. It’s easy to set up, fast to start up and run, and has all the features a home user or individual in an office would want. I am quite impressed with this small printer! Please note, This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have not been compensated in any way for this review.

I purchased this printer to replace my aging Epson Artisan 835. The prints weren't as good as when I bought it. My family is slowly becoming a full iPad using family. So, I needed AirPrint. I bought the XP-7100 based on reviews. I would normally use it mostly for printing documents and occasional 4x6 or 8x10 pictures. I really like the dedicated 2nd tray. I use it to keep 4x6 photo paper in it. It's a great feature that many don't have. I was comparing this printer to the Canon TR-8520. The Epson is a much more solid unit than the Canon by far. The Canon feels very flimsy. I was originally was going to give this printer a 2 or 3 stars based on setup. The primary reason was Airprint in buying this printer. Out of the box I could not get Airprint to work. I tried everything and I'm pretty computer savy. This printer would even go offline on it's own to where it wouldn't wake on print. I checked the auto-off function and everything. I tried one last effort as I like the print quality of this Epson. I have a higher-end Asus RT-AC3100 wireless router. I'm guessing that this is really geared for all out speed and multiple users. Well, there is a feature called "Airtime Fairness" that some users disabled and VOILA!!!!! Airprint immediately started working and the printer stayed awake. In my opinion, this is not a fault of Asus but I think Epson should take this into consideration on informing consumers on the setup side as many higher end routers have this function of MIMO. Another factor was the footprint. This unit is pretty compact compared to HP, Canon, and Brother. Epson ink is about on par with the others in cost and availability. I do like the fact that it has separate ink carts versus the HP Officejet Pro 6978's two (color and black). This one also has two black carts (photo and general). The software loaded easily enough and you have the choice of doing everything manually and letting Windows do the drivers only for you. The Epson scanning software has improved from my last Epson printer so I think it's pretty handy. All in all, this should be one of your top picks for a compact (subjective) all in one printer.

I've always been a fan of Epson's Expression line, and when my XP 810 was getting to be long in the tooth and ink was getting harder to find, I naturally looked for something similar. The XP 7100 has a lot of the same features of the XP 830 it succeeds, and if upgrading from the 830, you will even be able to enjoy using the same Epson 410 ink cartridges. Print quality is phenomenal, between text documents with sharp black lettering, color graphics on plain paper, and photographs, this is an extremely versatile home printer, not only do dual paper trays add to convince when wanting to print the occasional 4x6 or 5x7 photo, the inclusion of AirPrint means anyone using an iPhone has almost plug and play printing. This thing can even print on printable disks if that's your thing. The biggest drawback for this printer is the somewhat iffy build quality. The award of "plasticy" is unfortunately well earned. While the dust cover over the ADF has a solid click closed and open, it feels thin. The top of the printer cover the scan bed also has a weird lightness due to its extensive plastic construction. While the sizable touchscreen on the front of the printer is bright, clear, and responsive, the lack of any kind of glass or clear acrylic over the screen, makes the direct interaction with the printer feel cheap. The paper trays are hilariously tiny, and the dust cover for the rear bypass feed feels incredibly fragile. The plastic construction mostly limited to the exterior as the ink carriage rails and internal components feature a significant amount of metal, and while I nag about the plastic construction, the catch tray and screen unit are motorized and automatic, and have a satisfying, dampened gear feeling if they need to be manually closed. This printer is a phenomenal home printer for someone looking for a photo centric home printer. The exceptional print quality and plethora of features out weight the shortcomings in build quality, as well as slightly more expensive ink costs when compared to other options. If you're looking for something to keep up with crafting, scrap booking, photography, or art, this gem for Epson is a wonderful choice.

Included with this printer is a power cable and smaller capacity ink cartridges. No wires for connecting are included since I am assuming Epson wants you to use the wireless connectivity feature. I however prefer to connect the printer to my router via Ethernet. Setup was easy. Following the quick start sheet included with the printer really leaves no room for mistakes. If there is a problem the full manual is included on a DVD but I did not have to use it. With regards to print quality the XP-7100 Prints excellent color images and great black text. I have used this printer for Color photos I snapped with my phone and color raster images I created for my small business. Everything looks great when printed on high quality media. I have also printed large amounts of text and vector images (Illustrator and AutoCAD) and those also are crisp and free of aliasing. Scanning was easy either by launching the Epson scan utility from my PC or directly choosing what PC I wanted to send the image to from the printers display. The display is large and easy to read. The only problem I ran into was with my fat fingers touching an option instead of the down arrow on the scrollbar sometimes. I have not used the printers multi document feeder for scanning very much but it handled the 5 pages I fed it just fine and easily hides when not in use. Don't use the setup included on the DVD. I have owned a blending of printers for office and my photo printing work. By far EPSON makes the best printers for quality photo prints. I own and use a few wide format EPSON printers that allow me to produce amazing prints that I mount and sell. I have had the opportunity to use the EPSON EXPRESSION PREMIUM XP-7100 printer… OMG!!! This smaller flexible all-in-one printer really hits it out of the park. I am so impressed by the products it spits out in record time. The printing time for a 4x6 or 8x10 is superfast while maintaining the high standard of quality. I appreciate the ability to print wirelessly as well as having the printer be a part of my wired network. I can even print from my camera, phone and laptops I have spread about connected wirelessly. This printer is capable of fulfilling most of a small business or family’s printing, scanning, copying, archiving needs. Setup of this printer was quick and easy. It took longer for me to find a pair of scissors than it did to get it plugged in and working. The printer sits on the desk not taking up much real estate. The printer paper trays close and hide away keeping dust, animal hair, etc. out of the machine. Besides, it’s sleek black looks make it look good while on the desk. Did I mention, TWO-SIDED SCANNING!!!! Oh yeah…TWO-SIDED PRINTING!!!! What? That’s right, this is such a power packed convenient, small, and smart all-in-one. In my opinion, the EPSON EXPRESSION XP-7100 is truly the best all-in-one scanner, copier, printer, wireless magical tool that really everyone should have on their desk. Epson has always maintained software and firmware updates for its products. I appreciate a company that keeps its customers happy by continuing to support its products. This all-in-one checked for a new firmware update. The download and install it was simple and straight forward. We will enjoy using this all-in-one. Great job again, Epson!!! This is my third Epson Printer and Epson has not yet failed as far as quality and usage. I had Office sized ones to this compact small in one - daily house/in home office use. After opening the box, it takes about 10-15 minutes to fully set up. It comes with a CD/DVD rom for you to install the printer to configure but I do not have a CD drive in my computer but you can get everything you need to set up via their website in the support section. Also, this is be your way up configuring your printer if you have a smaller laptop that doesnt include a disk drive. *** Once you get near the end of installing all needed software, you can pick your type of connection. I have a few USB cables but for this I wanted to test out more of the Wireless capabilities from in my office and having it in a neutral area for multiple family members could you use since it's size and nice and seek, possibly the living room for easy access 'grab & go'. It was now time to test out. I did not notice the printer noise being any quieter (improved) but it wasn't a bad noise and quailty was nice. I then moved the printer (which was the real test) and plugged it in the living room. Nothing changed, all the settings were there (mind you I've never moved a printer) and tested it. It was nice being that the distance I went - the page was printed and ready to go. After that test, I moved it back into my home computer room and tested the scan and copier. The scan was nice, no surpise there then went to make a copy. Thumbs up to both of those areas. Although the loading tray seems like it could be easily broken if handled roughly. OVERALL (if you made it this far into my review): The size of the printer is perfect for someone with not alot of room to worth with that needs a printer. It was easy to set up and the price is unbeatable. It's good for your basic needs as it comes to a printer. It's not a loud printer and prints quite fast. Wireless capability makes it easy to keep it in an area without running a USB cable or wired connection. I would say if you need a printer for small projects at home use or a student - this is a keeper. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I was sent the printer to try out and I was pretty excited to be chosen for the opportunity. I currently already have another Epson printer that I use for home office projects but it isn't really intended for printing pictures necessarily so I was happy about getting this one! The setup process wasn't hard at all--just a little time-consuming because of all of the packaging and tape that needed to be removed--but the actual process of installing the cartridges, setting up the print preferences, and connecting to my home wireless network was easy. From start to finish it probably took me about 20-25 minutes and I found the quickstart guide to be streamlined and perfectly explanatory. My wireless network had absolutely no trouble detecting the printer so I could practically start printing immediately and I was impressed by the picture quality; the printer will accomodate several different paper sizes so it will be fun to play with all of the options that are available. One thing that I really appreciate is that there are five separate cartridges so that if one color runs out I can just replace that specific one and another nice thing about these cartridges is that they come with replaceable caps so that they can be removed and "capped" to reduce the risk of drying out if the printer isn't going to be used for an extended period of time. If I had one complaint it would be that a few of the parts seem slightly flimsy like the paper trays and digital panel but the printer is so reasonably priced that I can overlook it. This is going to be a great addition to my home and I'm looking forward to continuing to use it.

Compact AIO Printer, Small Ink Cartridges

I recently received the Epson XP-7100 printer and have been using it over the past few days. Here are my thoughts: The printer has a nice compact form factor, and some interesting design choices to keep it unobtrusive. The auto-document feeder (ADF) is hidden unless you open a "flap" on the top of the printer. The screen on the front is folded down, and automatically raises up when turned on. The paper output tray is also motorized, and comes out and stores automatically, allowing the printer to be more compact when not being used. Set up of the printer is fairly easy and self-guided on the screen. Interestingly, the printer comes with a bag to keep the caps off of the ink cartridge, presumably if moving the printer. The ink cartridges are fairly small, and do concern me about their overall capacity. The printer took about the 7 minutes to load the ink. The calibration took another 10 minutes or so to print several pages and then review. Print quality has been excellent for plain black and white images/text. Color has been fairly vibrant and accurate to images. I have not tried printing a photograph, but the printer does come with a specific "photo black" ink. There are actually several paper trays, which makes them smaller, so be prepared to load the standard sized paper more often. The second tray is designed for smaller papers and photo papers. There is also a tray for CD labels, etc. (however, I can't recall the last time I burned a CD in the age of cheap flash memory drives). The scanner function is accurate and fairly quick. ADF for the scanner is nice and handy as well. The printer nicely interfaces with Epson's cloud, but I prefer using Google Drive/cloud functions as I already use those. Google Cloud Print is fairly easy to set up and then share to other members in the house. Overall, this is a good standard home or home office all-in-one (or as Epson calls it "Small-in-One") printer/scanner. Time will tell about how long the ink lasts in the quite small cartridges, however. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Once you go Epson, you will never go back! I have owned several Epson printers, and this is my favorite so far! It is so user-friendly, produces photos and documents of impeccable quality, and is fairly small, which makes it easy to accommodate on a desk. I was super impressed with how easy set-up was. I am tech-friendly, but not necessarily tech-savvy. However, the instructions were so well-written, and the steps so easy, that I was able to do it all by myself in under 15 minutes. That is a huge plus for me! I also LOVE that I can print straight from my phone. Nowadays, I do most of my printing at home from my phone - recipes, emails, forms after I have registered for something, etc. It used to be such a pain because I needed to be sure I was on a computer for certain things, had to screenshot a picture and email it to myself, or had to email myself a form, then bring up my computer. Now, at the click of a button, I can print straight from my phone. It is so quick and painless! I also think it is so unique and exciting that this printer can print borderless photos! I have not yet used premium paper, but I could see this being an excellent way to print quality photos at home. I know that I am really enjoying the photo option, and I am not even a professional. I used to cut off the extra white border when doing photos, but now, I don't have to! It makes my photos look that much better. The color is also so sharp. The ink cartridges are so easy to replace! I am thankful for that because, again, I am good with technology, but not always great, and I am often worried about ruining the printer with an ink change. This printer will not be a problem at all! All in all, I highly recommend this printer. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have not been compensated in any way for this review. The fact that I received the product for free of charge does not impact my high view of the product.

Epson has long been a staple in my home for many years and the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Small-in-One Printer does not disappoint. Despite a bit of a flimsy feel to it, the XP-7100 is quite remarkable. It is sleek and compact, it's small footprint design fits easily upon the desk without taking up too much space, and the auto-extending/retracting tray is a nice feature. Setup was super easy, took me all of 15 minutes from unboxing to printing, this includes initializing the ink and installing the software onto my machine. This printer found and joined my wifi nework quickly and effortlessly. The touch screen control panel is intuitive and responsive, and was easy to navigate. Print quality is excellent and speed is good, not the fastest but certainly adequate. The automatic document feeder works very well, as does two-sided printing. Although I have yet to replace the ink, a quick internet search shows replacement cartridges run roughly $48 for the multipack in standard capacity (as of 12/2018). The only real negative for me was the glossy finish as it is a fingerprint and dust magnet. Overall, it's easy to use and super compact with features found on higher-end printers. Setup: The unboxing and setup was very easy and straightforward on my Windows 10 Surface Pro computer. Just follow the easy to understand instructions and make sure you have removed all of the little blue tabs. It was setup and connected to my computer in less than 20 minutes. Printing: After the initial print head adjustment process it was good to go. I used this printer for home use in my small office in the basement. The print speed and quality in black and white was perfect for printing out articles, emails and coupons. The color printing of photographs (yes I still print out photos) seems to be adequate for my needs. Features: The Auto Document Feeder was very easy to load and use. I did not experience any paper jamming or miss alignment of my scans or copies. The lack of a fax feature has not bothered me since it is easier for me to scan and email. I do not use the 2 –sided printing option very often, however it was simple to use. I should use it more often as I have been told that I cutting down a lot of trees with my printing habit. I just like hard copies! The large color touch screen is a plus as it makes it very easy to read and responds well to my fat fingers. I will not use it to edit photos as the screen is too small for me for that task. The wireless printing option from my Amazon Fire tablet or IPhone was easy to setup and use. Summary: I really like the small footprint this printer has. It has now replaced a much larger printer and I have gained new space on my desk so I can stack my hard copies that I love. I would recommend this printer for the average home user and I have never had any issues with the service or support from Epson. Epson has long been known as one of the leaders in the printer business alongside other big boys like HP and Lexmark. Overall they're known for their reliability and affordability, but the Epson XP-7100 makes a big leap into a tiny space - that is, this thing is small but powerful! Out of the box, the printer is secured with plenty of blue tape and protective coverings (be sure you get them all off!) Inserting the ink cartridges and calibration takes a few minutes, but that's standard these days for any quality inkjet printer. I found the configuration of the wifi to be easy and straightforward. The setup to my Mac was quick and painless and the included drivers CD and availability of drivers online makes setup easy for any computer out there. The brilliance of the XP-7100 comes to light when it's finally time to use the printer. After placing some paper in the paper tray and clicking "print" on my computer, a magical hidden piece slid out from the front of the printer to hold my printed paper. When it was done, there's an icon on the screen to slide the tray back in. Genius for small spaces (and less dust mess). There's also built-in trays for printing on CDs, photo paper, and more. This thing does it all, and by the way, it does it well. The print quality is phenomenal on plain paper or photo paper. For those who want to print photos at home or make a DVD or CD as a gift, this printer is for you. I'm very much looking forward to exploring more of what this printer can do, but from the few days I've had it now, its small footprint, easy setup, and incredibly versatile uses will make this the go-to printer for my household for years to come. I swore off Epson about 12 years ago when the print heads in two different printers clogged after about a year's worth of use. The cost to repair the out of warranty printers were twice the cost of the printers themselves! So I moved on to Canon ink jets - which were great initially but, again, after a few years I was wasting more ink cleaning the print heads and the print quality was slipping significantly. So I did some extensive research on ink jets (not my primary printer - I have a color laser but still like to print glossy photos and high quality print projects from time to time) and saw that Brother and Epson were getting higher ratings lately. Plus, what is the deal with Canon's 25-page paper trays?!?!? Anyway, when my Best Buy Blueshirt approached and asked what I was looking for I quickly answered "an Ink Jet that doesn't suck." "Sorry, sir, but they don't exist," he answered. We both laughed and I said "well, I would like the one that sucks the least." He, too, was well informed about the ratings and showed me the Brother and the Epson. I decided to choose the Epson XP-7100. So far, I've been happy with the footprint, features and print quality. I don't like that you have to manually close the print tray every time you complete a job. The selection is three screens deep after you complete a print job. So, honestly, my 4-Star rating is premature as far as Ink Jets go. The quality and performance on these Ink Vampires tends to plummet after a year or two. I'll revise this review based on how things go, but, for now, it's one of the best ones available for the price.

I received this in the mail and the printer was very carefully packaged. Per instructions, I had to remove all the blue tape and padding.I received an error message when I turned it on.So I turned it back off.I thought I removed all blue tape and padding, but I lifted the scanner up and there were additional foam pieces.Once I removed it all, the printer turned on and was ready to start up and connect to my laptop and smart phone with highspeed wifi internet.First I added the ink cartridges, which were easy to click in place.I found it very simple to connect the printer to my laptop.I did not need to use the disc that was included for setup.I do not even have a cd drive on my laptop.(can purchase an external drive)Once set up, I fixed the paper tray to accomodate standard sized paper.I was now ready to print. It took 2 tries to find my wifi from the printer. I am very impressed by this all in one device. The touch-display screen is user friendly and shows help and troubleshooting which is unique. With each printing job, I have noticed perfection and speed.I have not experienced this high quality from a printer in the past.I was most excited to see the 2 sided printing which is fabulous and useful.I also enjoy the easy scanning. For scanning I did need to install software to my laptop to receive the images by PDF files.I find it slightly more difficult to use my android phone(compared to laptop) as I needed to install an app to support file transfers from the scanning option.Copying was a breeze to navigate too. I highly recommend this all in one compact advanced printer! “This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review."

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Our printer needs to be upgrade because it is old. This Epson printer has been a wonderful item so far I ever used. The package arrived in a good way and I opened the box and inside is a good quality of a printer. I immediately installed and checked the item. It was great and easy to assemble or installed and instructions in the paper is understandable. Overall, it was very easy to install. The printer is nice color black and easy to locate the ink of the printer. It took me just 5 minutes to install. I printed few things on it and it seems good out of the box. Easy to setup also for a wireless connection. I used my IOS phone to print out of my file in the phone and it works well but I wish it works if using a data connection though because sometimes my wifi connection is slow. Small, compact and will fit in a small space. Has 4 functions, prints photos. Perfect for the home office and personal printing. The only feature so far that is lacking is the amount of paper the tray will hold onky a few (not much).
