This printer is good, but not great. Plus Side: Compact, auto document feeder, prints dvds, good quality printing, great quality photos, reasonable speed, large touch display, easy to navigate, print without pc, easy network setup, good software suite. Con Side: Expensive Ink, uses a lot of ink during head cleaning. This is a replacement for an xp810, of which I owned two, both of which had to be replaced after about a year due to clogged heads. Hoping this one does better.

I love this printer, but I had issues connecting with wifi. just buy a usb cable, and you'll be extremely happy with this printer. I love the design. it's the perfect size and it's very easy to use. ink is cheap which is great because I use this at work. i haven't had a chance to use all the little special features, but I look forward to messing with it when I get some free time. I am very happy with my purchase. :)

Have been a fan of Epson products from prior experience. This All-In-One Printer/Scanner appears to have all the necessary "bells and whistles" at a very reasonable price. Of course, the ink is where the real costs will appear !! Easy wi-fi connectivity. Essentially, it does it thing automatically. Sits quietly until needed and then it opens automatically and prints your document.

bought this printer to replace my 10 year old epson. it is a very easy printer to set up right out of the box. it located my wireless network right off. the on screen instructions walk you right through everything you need. yes there is a short pause from the time you tell it to print and the time it begins to print but it is not that big of a deal. it has a high quality print and is more then enough for a home office set up

I had done a lot of research to find an all in one printer that would do double sided printing as well as double sided scanning, and use separate ink cartridges for each color. Plus it had to be very compact since I have a small space into which the printer must fit. This is replacing an old inkjet printer as well as an 11 year old epson scanner. This printer does it all, plus is super easy to set up. I downloaded new driver and software package for windows 10, connected the computer via usb wire, and afterwards enable wifi so my laptop could use it also. It took about an hour. Very pleased so far - I have tested the scan feature (very fast vs my old one), fax, and print.

I use HP products for most of the last 2 decades. But tired out of several of the latest models had problems in recognizing the black cartridge; three. So, I researched the Epson XP-830 and decided to try it. I am very satisfied in the way this printer works. Smart looking, automatically starts with view panel up, print tray extended (so one doesn't forget to do it manually and fails to print). I do lots of photo printing and this printer does an excellent job. Also, has the special photo paper drawer, so one doesn't have to remove regular paper, replacing with photo paper and adjusting sizes. I'm still using the provided ink cartridges, so can't comment on whether it wastes ink. I would recommend this unit to my family & friends. >Ed<

I purchased this printer 02/18/16 to replace my RX580 that quit after many years. Printer and features are awesome. I don't know why all the negatives about ink consumption , I'm still using the ink that came with the machine. In regards to the cost of ink, this ink cost less than the ink for my old machine. If you want quality prints use Epson ink, just like any other printer brand. Printer set up was a breeze and yes it works on Windows 10.

We wanted something small that would fit in our current desk space, but with good quality printing. We liked that this was a 4 in one ... printer,scanner,copier, and fax. Very pleased with print and fax quality.

I went into the store looking for a print server but came out with a new printer to replace 1) an old Epson printer that had CD print capabilities, 2) an old fax machine and, 3) the print server I went into replace. Even if something is old, but still works, I want to use it until it no longer works. What convinced me was the efficiency this would provide. I also got new functionality besides, 4) iphone/ipod print, 5) internet printing, 6) and a scanner which I hadn't had since the mid 90.'s. This is an awesome printer and fun to boot. We are now printing pictures and posting them all around our kitchen.

This printer fits in my cabinet well because of it's small size. The printing is excellent. I haven't printed any pictures yet so I can't comment on that aspect of the printer. I have used the copy capabilities a couple of times. The first time I copied to a file and emailed the copy. That worked very well. The second time I made a paper copy and that also worked fairly well. It was a color copy and it was not an exact match but close enough for my purposes. i had an HP printer before this and I would say this is a much faster printer. The HP would make a lot of noise, like it was ripping itself apart, and then seem to take forever to print. This one makes less noise and seems almost instantaneous. I have two negative comments about the printer. First of all i tried duplexing and the first time I did this the paper jammed. I never had a paper jam on the HP doing duplexing. Secondly, I've noticed on several occasions that the output does not completely release. I have had to pull the paper out rather than just lift it off the try. I guess It's not a big deal but makes me wonder if eventually I'll be ripping some of the printed output trying to get it out of the printer. Overall, I would say it appears to be a good, fast printer. Time will tell how it holds up. BTW, I've read other reviews where people complained that the cartridges that came with the printer didn't last very long. So, I immediately ordered new cartridges. I've had the printer for several months and I'm still waiting to have to use the new cartridges. I know these are intended to be used just to set up the printer but they seem to have a bit more ink in them than I expected. A pleasant surprise.

I am extremely happy with this new printer. It was easy to set up and performs so much better than expected. I'm especially pleased with the double-sided print capability and with the speed of both printing and copying - significantly faster than my previous Brother printer. I'd highly recommend this printer for anyone looking for a home or small business printer.

This printer was easy to set up. I didn’t really need all of these features, but they have come in handy. Photos print well, which is important to me, and the wireless feature is so convenient.

So far so good. Set up was easy and quick. Not a big fan of the dual paper trays and it is a little difficult to remove them. But that is just personal preference. Do love the compact size and love the way the paper catch tray auto re-tracks when your not using it. Text and basic things printed off of the internet look great. Have not used it for printing photo's so can't comment on that.

This printer is great so far, we have had it a few months. Setup was easy on our network. We are an apple house and it has printed everything mostly regular docs and 4x6 photos with great ease and results. I have not tried to print any photos larger than 4x6 on actual photo paper but the 4x6 photos have been great. Docs are great too! The only thing I worry about is the automatics document catcher that electronically moves out when printing. It has worked flawlessly but I have a small child and he is interested in the sound of it and I have to make sure he doesn't grab it and break it.

This printer does it all. It copies, scans, it's a fax machine and its wireless which is a huge plus. Prints beautiful picture quality prints

Great all in 1 unit, easy to use. Does the job if your looking for inexpensive unit. Ink is also inexpensive.

Easiest printer to setup that I have ever owned, and that goes back to plug and play windows versions. Connected to home network in about 5 minutes after putting in setup disc and following simple instructions. Have had for approximately 1 month with no issues, have printed numerous documents and have printed photographs with excellent results.

This is a vey good printer for the price. Vivid photo color, ink dries quickly, quiet operation and print capabilities. Compact design and very easy to set up and use.

I was in the market to get a new printer, as my 4 year old HP's pump motor decided to stop working. I needed an all-in-one that was capable of printing at decent speeds, printing photos, scanning documents/photos, and faxing. This Epson does all this and more! In addition to my needs, this printer also prints onto DVDs. This was always a want, and now a reality. I bought this printer on sale for $99.99 and I have no regrets. This printer works great, prints great, and was a very good value. This was my first Epson printer, and it probably won't be my last. The Epson XP 830 blows my old HP out of the water, and my HP was a $250 printer.

easy setup although takes a while. small size is convenient. doesn't hold much paper but does print on both sides.
