Needed to replace a general services printer. This is good for that.

The printer is the easiest multi function machine that I have used!!

This printer prints great quality, and the scanner is the best yet.

Compared to the printer it replaced it was a breeze to set up and has been fairly simple to use. I'm still trying to get better at using the scanner but the printer has been working just fine.

Printers are notorious for not lasting long, and I could have written a glittering review for my last one, right up until the day it mysteriously died, less than 18 months after I purchased it. With that said, I do like this printer, and I use it for everything that I did with an Epson Workforce 7620, and it takes up much less space. I don't rely on this printer to print photos, but I've printed a few with it and they are top notch for an All-in-one, and nearly as good as a dedicated photo printer I also have. The paper trays are a bit dainty, accounting for the smaller size, but it does a great job with everything I need it to do. I would recommend to a friend, with the caveat that I've had it less than a month.

Great photo printer even on regular paper, wifi enabled will print from cell phone w/epson app. Printer, scanner, fax, copier. Has everything. A con for me: Shallow paper tray. Wish it held more paper.

This printer is fast, great color but best of all I can print from my iPhone.

First off it's an Epson and the price of ink is not unreasonable.

Photo prints are about the equal of commercial prints (but are NOT moisture resistant - this is true of all inkjets, so not a negative comment) that can also print on printable or labelled CDs/DVDs. Scan speed and accuracy are good enough for home photo scanning, but it would help me to be able to scan negatives and slides. This would eliminate double-sided auto scans, so it's also not a negative, just a comment in case someone is wondering. Being able to replace only one color instead of an entire cartridge helps save money on printing, but it's still going to cost more than sending big jobs out. If I have to get another printer/scanner soon, it'll be this one or a similar Epson.

I run a Small Business so dependability and consistency in printing photos, labels and cards is a must; that is not something I got from this printer. From the beginning, this printer bled ink when I was printing 3/4" labels and cards on card stock. Overall, it's a decent printer if you need just a very basic printer. Pros: compact, sleek, lightweight, mostly quiet, great scanning feature, paper tray extents and comes in automatically when the printer is getting ready to print/is turned off Cons: Automatic Document Feeder jammed while I was copying, bleeding ink, bottom cassette does not hold much paper at all, if you're printing a decent amount, you'll have to reload multiple times. Even for the low price, I had to return it. And got the Canon Pixma MX922 instead; hopefully I'll have better luck with it.

I've used all the features on this machine. It's easyn to use. It keeps itself updated with new software and firmware. The fax works great. It prints copies and scans with ease.

Good little printer, scanner, copier. Set up was not too hard but I am still having issues with renaming files or deleting items. Seems that the XP-830 has a way to lock the SD cards so that while in the machine they can not be erased or items deleted. Other than that I find that the unit is great. I like the fact that it will top feed documents.
