This printer is top quality. Easy to set up and a breeze to use. You can go wireless or wired. The instructions automatically download to your computer from the supplied cd. I love the small size for the desktop.

Good printer for the price. Fast with very good image quality and extremely easy to set up and connect. Great for moderate use where image quality matters. Not economical for large print jobs or frequent printing. The scanner is surprisingly good for old snapshots.

My daughter needed a smaller size printer for her college dorm. She didn't want to have to keep walking to the library every time she needed to print or copy. This little printer will do everything she needs and more for a very reasonable price. The wireless capabilities make it perfect for a college student.

I bought this because it had so many good reviews. The first one I got was defective and printed everything misaligned and shifted, like each color was not properly aligned with the other colors. I ran the built in print head re-alignment procedure 2X and it did not help at all. I took it back and returned it and then I bought another of the same model. The second one prints photos nicely. I am pleased with the photo quality, and I bought it mainly for the purpose of printing photos. I have not used it for text yet. I decided to sign up for the automatic ink refills with BestBuy because they give a 10% discount for doing so. Overall I am satisfied with this printer and with BestBuy’s return policy.

Great Printer for Home Use

Between the Wi-Fi capability and the quality of the prints, this printer is perfect for moderate at-home use. I am a single person with only occasional need for printing, but so far the "print to edge " feature has been great (though the first few pages had some ink smudges as it seemed to get used to doing it, and it no longer smudges ink with this feature), it prints quickly, the colors are fairly accurate compared to what I see on my screen (more monitor-related than printer related), and the scanning function works well for high quality duplication. Only downside ive seen is the goofy CD printing tray that sticks out (who prints CD labels anymore anyway?) and the small capacity paper tray. But thats a First World Problem, so whatevs.
Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it for moderate printing needs. People with kids? Don't know if the ink cost would be worth it if you're doing schoolwork related printing. Maybe a simpler printer or going with Epson's printer ink program. That might be a good solution.

I wanted to replace my broken printer (due to grandchildren breaking the original, bought in 2009), with the same brand, Epson, because I had no problems, what-so-ever, with my Epson Artisan 810. It worked great for 8 years, and would still be working if not for a two curious 4 and 5 year old boys. I found one at Best Buy, on sale, similar to the one I had. I like it as well as the broken one, and it is much quieter. I like to print photos at home and it is difficult to find a printer with a card slot, the Epson XP830 has a card slot. The printer is user friendly easy to set up, and does what it is suppose to do.

Great wireless printer/scanner/copier. We were initially skeptical that the XP 830 would work as advertised due to its reasonable price. However, once home and using it, our skepticism was replaced with delight. IPrint functionality was easy to set up and works great.

We have this installed on our home network, and can readily print to it from Apple devices, wireless devices, and wired devices. The setup is a little complicated, but not too bad if you take your time. Overall this printer has excellent output, can handle paper, photos, and CDs/DVDs, and is very compact for a unit with an automatic document feeder. The Epson Photo, CD printing, and scanning software is also logical and easy to use.
Bottom line: We like the quality, features, and value of this printer so much that we purchased two more for my kids in college.

I purchased this to replace a Lexmark printer. The Epson was extremely easy to set up.Connection to my router was simple, quick, and required no extra steps as other printers I have had in the past made me endure.Included software installed easily .Scanning functions work very well. The printer is always accessible when using our cell phones, lap tops,or desktops. We never have connection issues. The print is very clear and legible.Photos look excellent.I don't have an exact page count comparison, but the Epson uses far less ink then my Lexmark printer did.I am very satisfied with this printer.

It's a compact size that is good for limited space at home. It includes the ability to fax. The printed set up instructions were incomplete. The printer ink is a little expensive. You have to download Epson i-print.

Epson expression premiun xp-830 is a solid work horse because of all in one versatility. has excellent photo quality. compared to my cannon pixma mx850. extra cd/dvd printing a plus. fax, copy, scan, and easy set up. plus printing from around the world capability. i gave it 4 stars because epson ink 410 is expensive and small ink qty. also after some time not using you get confused on how to use paper tray,cd/dvd setup and ink change procedure. no directions come with ink replacements. we use our printer almost daily and its fast speed and quality ,are definitely positive.

Setup was basically straightforward, except for one obscure setting that was confusing which paper tray to use. Epson support quickly answered, Under Printing preferences-Maintenance-Extended settings, I had to set "Always use the driver's paper source setting" but it is strange that it wasn't the default. After that, the printer has performed flawlessly. The main paper tray is a little small, but I knew that going in. The printer is small and relatively quiet.

Pretty happy with this printer. Bought it for my soon for college work. Not quite as fast as I was hoping for, but I believe it is ok for the sale price. Quality of text and photos is pretty good.

Nice printer. Wireless works flawlessly. Multi-copy feed works nicely. Not blazing speed, but certainly acceptable. Print disc - a high priority for me - is great. Only needed to get the manual workaround (easy) because this printer is so new it is not yet on the list for SureThing disc printing software I prefer. One email request to SureThing support and I had the simple instructions by morning. The disc printing software from Epson is not as easy to use, having a rather clunky and somewhat limited interface. I've printed test discs with both softwares with good results. I am pleased even though the ink, as usual, is pretty pricey.

Slightly noisy but produces good print jobs. Am a bit concerned about automatic moving parts (tray to catch print outs is automated) and whether it will hold up over time. Prints well using Epson app from both an Android (HTC M9) and Apple iPhone. Can scan using app also. Seems to have a problem holding Wi-Fi connection, but that could be my service provider. A quick turning it off and on re-establishes connection with no problems.
