Had HP Office Jets in past and bought this because wanted one more compact to put in cabinet, but didn't expect it to be better in every way (speed, quality, ...).

1st time Epson purchase. I chose this over a comparable HP. Like the photo print quality, seems better than the HP's. Easy setup and it was pretty quick. App works pretty good on my Apple devices. I don't like the smaller paper tray - depending on your paper weight it holds around 100 sheets, would prefer 200 sheets. Depending on your printing habits the ink cartridges are only good for a couple hundred pages. I would recommend you keep spares on hand and go with the XL cartridges to save money overall. It is a very quick printer vs. my old HP7280. I like the smaller footprint of the device. I also like the ability to email the printer and have the document print out immediately. Faxing works well. Menu screens are pretty intuitive. I like the size of the display - very good contrast for old eyes. Scanner works pretty good - ran 20 pages through the ADF and it worked no problem. Overall a very good little AIO printer. I do recommend only Epson ink to insure the longevity of the printer heads. Do not go with generic remans for ink purchase.

I'm remarkably finicky when it comes to printers. I've had them crash one too many times to be completely trustworthy but I spoke to numerous employees at Best Buy before making my decision. Then I read reviews online. Then I decided that this one is the one, brought it home and successfully set it up without any hair-tearing-out so I'd say that's pretty good. I've had it for about a month and haven't really had any issues with it yet. Then again, I haven't had to print much during that time so we'll see. Excellent for now though.

I couldn't be happier with this printer, setup was a breeze. Prints on CD and DVD white inkjet printable face types. You can also set this up with an email address of its own and attached pictures will be waiting and printed when you get home. If you use Chrome's cloud print, this one is listed as fully compatible, and it is. Too early for me to comment on ink use but so far so good. This has three ways to load papers so I can leave in letter sized, and adjustable trays for different photo paper. A single sheet feed in back for 8x10 photos. Fantastic printer.

Epson XP-830 printer has good features

I used a Epson Artisan 810 all in-one printer for 6 years and was very happy with the features. I started having black ink problems and decided to research and buy a new printer. I considered the new tank printers but they were expensive and the technology is new. So I opted for the Epson Expression XP-830 as it was on sale and had all the features I really wanted. I use the copy feature a lot and like being able to put in a stack of papers and not have to load them individually on the scanner bed. The Epson 830 has a double sided print feature on the copy function. I like having a separate bin for envelopes and for 4*6 sheets as I print not only photos, but 4*6 index cards as well. The XP-830 easily connected to my network and I can use the features from desktop, laptop, Galaxy tab and phone. I like Epson printers as I only have to replace color ink cartridges as needed. With Best Buy 15% discount I can save on cartridges. My one complaint is that the new printer only came with “starter” cartridges. I have had probably 20 printers and they always came with full ink cartridges. I started looking at this printer when it was $200 and finally got it for $100 on sale. I Do wish there was a warning that paper tray is low Before you run out of paper in the middle of a printing job.

I love Epson photo printers. They produce the highest quality prints of any printer. I've seen photos printed on several other brand printers...and none of them can compare to Epson. I bought this one to replace my Epson Artisan 800, which was 8 years-old and had served its purpose.

I have always purchased HP printers and decided to try another brand, as HP’s software can be challenging. Read the reviews for this one and gave it a try. Surprisingly, it’s really great. It faxes, scans, prints on paper (even double sided), copies, prints photos. Does all of that very well. Easy setup on Mac (haven’t tried it on Windows yet). I’m happy.

This is our first wireless printer and we have found this Epson to have been easy to setup and use. Changing print cartridges couldn't be easier and we are very pleased with the quality and speed of printing. We are enjoying the fact that there are no wires connecting it to our computer! This was an excellent choice to meet our printing demands.

    A few paper jams

The printer works well and it was very easy to setup., The connectivity was easy as well. I have had a few instances where the paper will jam for no apparent reason. I did pull the paper out and fanned it to release any static electricity and then replaced the paper. After doing that, I was able to print. This has happened several times but really not the printers fault. Picture print quality is very good. I do like the multiple color cartridges rather than one cartridge that has all the colors in it.

I recently got rid of my corporate office and i am working from. Using one of the bulky printers from the office made me feel like a dinosaur was printing my documents. I upgrade to this sleek, small-in-one printer and i love it! Great quality print jobs, easy to set up and use, print from my iphone, ipad and android.

I have used this printer now for a month and so far I love it. It was easy to set up and I like that it has scan to email and scan to file. It can be a wireless printer, though I have it plugged into my home network with an ethernet cable. I looked at a lot of different model all-one-printers and this was rated the highest for low ink usage plus was rated high over all. I have printed black and white and color print outs on regular paper and also heavy card stock without any problems. So far, I would definitely recommend this printer.

I have been looking for well over a year for a printer which can handle scored notecards. I wanted a printer that has high quality photo print with the ability to handle specialty papers, one that doesn't BEND the notecards. This EPSON XP-830 is perfect for my needs. Yes, it prints at a slower pace, but that's not a problem. I don't print in mass quantities.

I have had HP printers for years although I was not overly satisfied with my last one (large, takes forever to warm up, noisy and drinks ink like a drunk). When it died I went to Best Buy to buy a new one. Of course I went right to the HP models because that's what I'm most familiar with. My last one was a 4 in 1 and now I'm looking at this new large, clunky model that looked uglier than my last one. Disappointed, I was ready to leave when I turned around and saw this beautiful little printer. I thought "this is what I really want, but surely it doesn't have the functionality that I need". Well, I started reading the specs and low and behold, it did everything my big ugly HP model did and more. I bought it and brought it home. Setup was easy and it works like a charm. My wife loves how fast it powers up and is ready to go. Epson really put some thought into this printer and we love it. Keep up the good work Epson! I'll never go back to HP again.
