I was wanting something to scan all of my photos, including some very old ones I found. I was looking for something that would handle photos of different sizes, including very small ones. I am just getting started, but so far this scanner is working great! The pictures look awesome! And it is very quick! You can place a stack of photos in it and it takes about a second per photo to scan. It comes with one photo sleeve to use for those smaller photos and some of the more delicate ones. I know I will need more sleeves eventually so I checked on them and they are kind of pricey. And so is this scanner. But it is worth it to me to save all our precious photos/memories.

Fast scanner than can scan a wide variety of materials. I've done photos, postcards, periodicals, and drug prescription receipts. The ability to scan both sides in a single pass is a blessing, although when scanning a periodical with pictures I do one pass scanning both sides with Scansmart, then scan the pages with pictures with FastPhoto and copy/paste the photos in using Acrobat.

The Epson FastFoto FF-680w is EXCELLENT. It's easy to set up and operate. It's fast and quiet, and most importantly, it does a great job of digitizing you photos. The software is good too. If you're like me and have a ton of old family photos tucked away in photo books, boxes, envelopes etc. etc. you will really appreciate what this device can do. I've scanned over 6,000 photos so far and the product has performed flawlessly. Just be advised that you can't scan polaroids. They're too thick to go through the auto scanner feed. I believe that if you follow the instructions, you'll be very happy with this product.

Very fast scanner. It is very convenient and easy to use. Would be 5 stars but I did have a couple issues. It does leave scratches on some photos. Sometimes when scanning multiple photos it will freeze and I lose the photos I scanned and I have to rescan. Also when uploading to Google photos they do not seem to upload in order and if I scanned front and back the photos aren't next to each other. Besides that I have scanned a lot of photos and been happy with the results.

This thing is fast. I have many hundreds of family photos I wanted to scan. My document scanner would have taken forever. I can load up 20 or 30 photos at a time and hit the scan button. Literally less than a minute they are scanned and uploaded to my Google Drive account. Quality looks great to me. It has a feature where it enhances colors as you scan if you want to. I've found that works great too. The only complaint I have is the picture go to Google Drive and not Google Photo. I have to transfer to Google Photo manually.

Having a massive project archiving decades of photographs the Epson - FastFoto FF-680W Wireless Photo and Document Duplex Scanner proved and excellent choice to complete my project. I have operated scanners for decades and could not imagine doing all of these photos manually. Excellent because it is Fast, Great Software and a Small Footprint! I would prefer a little more flexibility in the naming convention setup. Many photos I do not have dates for and I do not want to guess. I have those photos in a "Misc" folder. I have a bulk renaming utility that I could use at a later date to clean those up -- so I am set!

This scanner is easy to use, sorts the photos you scan very easily and is fast when you have a group of photos. The two things that don't make it a 5 star is it was hard to set it up with the computer and it doesn't scan a stack of 3 1/2 by 5 photos.

We have tons of family photos that we wanted to digitize but we were concerned about using a service as we didn't want the photos to possibly get lost or damaged. After researching different products, we decided on this Epson scanner. Although it's a bit more than we were initially wanting to spend, it really has been well worth it. We love the automatic feeder! It scans the pictures quickly without compromising on quality. It also has a feature that you can select to improve the image quality. Some of the images come out looking better than the original photo scanned. Great purchase so far! No issues.

This little scanner has been a blessing to scan in thousands of family history documents and photos. Being able to scan the back and front is perfect. It folds to a very compact space saver scanner. It scans very fast and you can go through a hundred photos quickly. It will not scan above 8x10 so small documents and photos work perfect. That's fine since I have a large bed scanner. The quality of construction is great and expected for the price range. I did get a quick adjustment when it went on sale after my purchase. I love Epson products and have many on my home so this is a perfect addition that has already done so much and done it quickly.

I am fairly happy with this scanner. The feeder works well and it makes short work of a stack of pictures. The ability to scan both sides of photos is nice, as is the ability to scan both sides of documents and save them as a PDF. Very handy around tax time. I haven't tried the OCR feature so I can't comment on that. I also like how small the scanner is. I have a flatbed scanner for serious photo/slide/negative scanning (4800dpi), and this scanner takes up less than half the desk space. My only knock on the scanner is the scan quality. There is some organized noise in dark regions of scanned photos. The image quality did get quite a bit better when I installed the latest firmware update however. I just don't know how it got out of the factory with the original image quality problems.

Wow, wow, wow. holy cow! Works like a charm. I have put hundreds of photos through it so far and still have a lot more to go. It even does the panorama photos with ease. Definitely worth the purchase price if you have a lot of photos. It is so fast even on the 600 dpi setting that I use. The automatic touch up is great too; I save both the original and the touch up and it has a quick edit feature for rotating photos.

Crazy fast, super quality scanner for tons of pics. Need to follow the direction on how to keep the scanner clean. It tells you when it isn’t but in order to keep scanning without interruption, it is best to make sure you use best practices. It’s all in the start guide. I am very impressed with this scanner.

I can’t say enough good about this machine. I’ve used it on pictures ranging in size from wallet to 8x10. It does a great job. The software is easy to use and helps to organize the newly converted photos. My parents have stacks of old 35mm photos (most in 3x5 size). It is so awesome to be able to place 25-30 in the feed tray and watch them scan through at the rate of about 1 per second. It you only have a couple of hundred pictures to scan, a cheaper table scanner might be the way to go. However, if you have lots of photos to scan and demand a good quality result, it is hard to beat this scanner. Well made and easy to use!

So far I have been very impressed with the FastFoto FF-680W photo scanner. It is very fast and is easy to operate once you do it a few times. I have thousands of photos to catalog and I couldn't imagine doing it with a flatbed scanner.
