I am very happy with this projector, as many others have said, the sound is not sufficient as is, but you are able to hook it up to another audio source. I use a receiver by way of a "audio extractor" that I also purchased at Best Buy. (It splits the HDMI signal and sends the sound to your receiver so that you do not have to use the headphone jack on the back of the projector unit.) The projector's video quality, brightness, and sharpness is excellent on my 120" screen. I purchased this projector because the bulb can be replaced by the consumer, (make sure you don't buy one that you can't replace the bulb yourself) Epson does sell at least one model that you cannot replace the bulb yourself, so shop carefully, making sure there is a external removeable cover on the model of your choice, which houses the bulb for replacement. With great brightness, and ability to get great cinematic sound via the extractor, the Epson Home Cinema 1080 meets all my needs. I highly recommend this projector and thoroughly enjoy it. It is my third projector, and by far the best.

Our old projector died and we were looking for a projector that would mount to the ceiling ash’s had more lumins than our previous projector. The reviews were really good on this and it did everything we wanted it to do plus the price was in our budget. We took a chance on it and love it the picture is so clear and the colors are so vivid! Best purchase I’ve made in a long time and well worth the money!

Excellent picture quality. The colors are so so rich and enjoy the zoom feature to fit the size I need. Wanted a projector in my garage that I can enjoy watching sports and movies at times and it didn’t disappoint. I find myself watching more movies in my garage than my living room. I also like how I can see the image holds up well even when my garage doors are open.

Couldn't be happier. It projects the golf app on to a 10' wide screen with more than enough brightness to over come the LED overhead lights. I'm not even sure the cage is needed to block out the light. Casting through the native mechanism works well. Zoom range seems greater than spec'd giving me more placement options. V and H keystone means I can place it anywhere. Would definitely buy again, if needed.

Overall it’s pretty decent for the price. Picture shows really clear, even with the lights on. In all honesty I haven’t watched a full movie or show on it yet( putting final touches on media room), but I will say the sound from it could be a lot louder. With that being said the sound quality does sound pretty clear just lower than I would like. So I definitely will be buying some additional speakers for it.

I have used this for power point presentations several times now. It works perfectly. I had some trouble trying to sync this with my laptop but it finally synchronized perfectly and works flawlessly now. Very bright and easy to focus. Good price for this quality projector.

I bought this to replace my Epson HC 1060 projector which died prematurely. I love the picture quality in either outdoor or indoor settings. It's very bright, even with ambient lighting. But I'm a little worried that it might die after a few years like my old projector. I'm hoping that it was just a fluke. I preferred this over DLP projectors primarily so that I won't have to deal with the rainbow effect. And the replacement bulbs are significantly cheaper.

This Epson projector is one of the best. I replaced a different version and lasted me 14 years. I've had this one for like 5 years now more or less, and still run like new. Picture quality is amazing and very easy to use.

The start of my DIY home theater—no regrets! This Epson Home Cinema 1080 projector was the beginning of my DIY home theater, and I couldn’t be happier. The 1080p image is bright, crisp, and full of detail, making movies and sports truly immersive. Setup was straightforward, and it works seamlessly with my existing sound system. It’s reliable, high-quality, and a perfect entry point into building a home theater—I have no regrets buying it from Best Buy!

I've test a ton on projectors in this price range and capabilities, this one is the best! Great picture quality. Two hdmi inputs are convenient, one for my Chromecast and one for my computer.

Has crisp picture and was relatively easy to set up as a media room projector. Like that its white so it blends with the ceiling better than my previous Epson projector (taken out by a lightning strike).

Very bright but the light bleed from the sides. You can't see in lighted rooms but very clearly in dark rooms. Also the projector is ceiling mountable, just the settings to flip the image is not easy to find. Other than that it works great

The 1080p/3LCD resolution gives crisp, clear images for movies. Having 2HDMI + RCA (audio + video) inputs makes it robust for connecting to older Amplifiers. A bargain around $700. All the features of the more expensive projectors, well below their cost. External speakers makes the experience very enjoyable. Integral speakers adequate for a small room. Way better than XGA (which I also have) & VGA projectors.

Great projection, great brightness, great resolution, BUT I purchased this projector to project videos using USB thumb drive withiut Wifi. Which was advertised as plug & play. Works fine with images, but not video. Called Tech support three times and was told that there were very specific requirements of the video: AVI resolution, audio. After three hours of making sure my video met the requirements, it still did not work, "cannot play". I already spent way too much time on this. If you will use WiFi or mirroring or hook to a lap top it is a fantastic projector. I already had a decent projector and did not need to spend $700 not to get the fearure I wanted most.

I think this thing is great, but I know nothing about electronics. It has a good picture, easy to run and I was able to hook up external speakers to play movies in our back yard on a large 20' inflatable screen.
