This is a very quality projector, so far the best in this range. Very good resolution and high brightness for even day viewing. Everything is good with this, never used the Wi-Di. since more streaming devices are now in place (apple tv , firetv, chromcast) not much use. you can buy one version down to save 50$. Pro. Good for gaming and movies. Very high resolution Cons, Noisey at the beginning, takes some 1 min for the lamp to fireup.

The Epson Home Cinema 2045 LCD Projector is a great option for the full gamut of people looking to create a theater set up in their homes. It has great color, brightness, contrast, and clarity out of the box without any additional setup, but it can be fine-tuned to your liking. I was off and playing movies with excellent image quality immediately after unboxing. One complaint that I do have is that it tends to make a lot of mechanical shifting sounds when switching between frames with lots of whites and lots of blacks, but I have the projector much closer to me than most people would. If mounted from several feet above and used with a good sound system, it would be hardly noticeable. Overall, this projector is an excellent buy. It is high-quality, feature-rich, it will allow you to view images clearly even with moderately bright daylight through the windows, and it will suit many needs--from watching TV, movies, gaming, or casually streaming videos online.

This projector is very bright. It can be used in rooms that have some light and still be watchable. It is easy to set up. My only complaint is that it doesn't have lens shift to help position the image on the screen. 3D is very good, just like in the movie theater.

This is my first projector and I read extensive reviews before choosing this one. I bought this to watch movies outside on our deck but instead, we use it in our living room. We slide our 75 inch Sony Bravia to the side and use the projector on the wall. Our family loves it.

Hands down the best projector for all day use every day (replacement lamps are $80). Using it in our main living room, projected onto a 4' x 6' flat grey painted MDF sheet (is about an 80in image size). Low to high ambient light in the room depending on time of day. Image brightness is exceptional for the price as are the included features (wireless, MHL, etc.) Although the image can be washed out with windows uncovered it really is amazing how good it looks with lots of light flooding the room. Setup was very easy and although I had to mount the projector slightly off center (due to ceiling fan) I was able to correct the image and get a nice square picture. Highly recommended for all day daily watching in family rooms with reasonable ambient light control.

I reviewed several projectors in various price ranges and settled with this Epson. It works great, 3d is very nice and pairs with 3d glasses easily. Bright picture even in economy mode. I would recommend this unit for sure.

Very easy to use (small learning curve) on Eco mode you can barely hear it and Looks Great. On non-Eco the fan is a bit loud but if you have any kind of surround sound it will be fine. Only Con is that it is NOT a true wifi product it uses WiDi which is a windows based form of wifi (supposed to be more secure) The Epson 2045 has met all my expectations and then some & with a good sound system it's really Great & inexpensive.

The new line of Epson HD projectors offer a lot of bang for your buck. Specs like these used to be in the multi thousand dollar range a short time ago. The 2040 and 2045 has several image refinement features including Detail Enhancement and frame interpolation, as well as connectivity that transform the projectors into a smart display optimized for dark room cinema. The colors and brightness are just amazing, and I was very impressed. There are two new models in this lineup, this one the 2040 and the 2045 which adds wifi streaming. Epson is using a 3LCD, 3-chip technology delivers incredible color, very sharp detail and reliability with no color separation. This also allows the image to be very bright while using less power. You no longer have to be in a totally dark room. 2D/3D performance with up to 35,000:1 contrast ratio, and 2,200 lumens of color brightness and 2,200 lumens of white brightness. The 2040's blacks are quality as well. The unit has two HDMI inputs (one MHL-enabled), Component Video, USB Type A digital connection, and USB 2.0. It comes with 3d rechargeable glasses. The new features including built in speaker and light weight, make this a great choice for large viewing with images up to 332" Setup is super easy and you will be watching in just a few minutes. The box includes projector Power Cable, Remote Control with AA Batteries. Warranty Limited 2-Year Projector Warranty Limited 90-Day Lamp Warranty

Best projector in its price range. Low latency is good for gaming also awesome 3D and brightness. Only downside you will have to buy good 3d glasses and they might add up.

I have installed this projector in my dedicated media room, no light at all. It gets projected on Elite Screens 110'' screen. One issue I faced was I have to move it little close around 11-12 ft from the screen and have to tilt it down as my room on screen side falls down suddenly. It is easy to install, ready to use OOTB, no configuration. But I went ahead configured a little to match the distance and throw angle. I tried with light also in media room, it's not that bad, it automatically adjusts to the light. I suggest before getting this use online throw distance calculator from any websites, to know the min & max throw distance based on your screen size, otherwise this projector will you as it has limited zoom for it's price and size.

I just love this Projector. One of my friend suggested to go for Epson 3500 but it was priced for $1500. I did not want to invest more than $1000 on my first projector. So bought this projector based on the reviews I saw in the best buy site and am very happy with my purchase. Played a blu ray dvd, dvd, played videos from youtube, casted video from my smartphone.. the picture/sound quality is awesome... no issues.. also got $200 best buy gift card .. so got a great product with a nice deal..
