This projector was better than i expected. Especially with the built in android TV. That feature alone cuts down having to plug in additional devices. The only down side to this projector is lack of USB or ability to upload anything to its storage drive. Even a MicroSd slot would have been sufficient. Overall still a great projector with tons of features.

I purchased this projector for an ongoing group that meets live and on Zoom. The projector gave a clear image at a distance (maybe 25 feet and probably much farther) in a dimly lit room that worked well both for those attending live and virtually.

For a long time, I never paid attention to projectors. I did not like how finicky they were to connect like getting them to recognize the input, time it took to warm up, expensive bulb replacements. Less than sharp images. I really only thought of them as little more than presentation devices in a class/board room. I was at a backyard party friend’s house and they had a projector playing in the yard out onto a large inflatable screen and my kid loved it. I noticed immediately that the projector only had a power cable hooked into it and nothing else yet it was playing a movie. I asked my friend about it and he said newer ‘smart’ projectors have WIFI and Bluetooth and some run on AndroidTV. I was immediately intrigued. I was looking for a new TV for my finished basement which I am guessing my kid will soon be taking over so when I got the opportunity to try out the Home Cinema 2250 I did not hesitate. Setup was a breeze, using the Google app on your phone. Make sure your phone is connected to your WIFI AND your location is ON. There are a lot of adjustments (which are not difficult to use at all) to get your screen to cast on your wall just at the right angle. I downloaded Netflix, connected to Amazon Prime and immediately I had a 90” screen on the opposite wall as my 65” flat screen. My kid was mesmerized and using the primary remote and was immediately figuring out how to use the thoughtfully laid out controls. The second remote is apparently for use when connected to another device, which at this time I have not used. I have connected my laptop via HDMI which I was able to use as a second screen (which I always prefer) OR mirror my screen which works just as well. Very simple to setup and switch input with NO complications. I have also connected my kid’s Nintendo Switch and had some Mario Kart action on the wall! This projector is bright! Even in the day I am able to see relatively well in my living room with ample outside light. At night with the lights low it seems like it kicks more light off the wall than my TV. The rear speaker is no better than the tiny speakers on flat screen TVs. They work. And that’s it. Bluetooth fixes sound issues. So far, I have connected wireless earbuds, a small Bluetooth speaker and my Atmos Soundbar setup from my TV and EVERYTHING works great! The projector was also taken outside and I was able to have it setup on the back of my house but I do not have a white backdrop or screen. I had a show projected onto my blue siding as it was getting darker. The picture was a little distorted but it was cool to try and with my small bluetooth speaker and with the firepit going it was a nice night in/out with the family. The only cons that I have found with this projector are: - that the projector is not silent. But with decent sound it is not really a problem. - It blows a lot of hot air. Which now that it’s getting colder out it doesn’t really make much of a difference but how will it be in the summer? - It does not mount itself on the ceiling…. I like the fact that this projector is: - Great picture - Relatively small (old projectors were quite large) - Easy to setup and use - Can be used as stand-alone streaming device OR connected to whatever you need. (I love you HDMI and Bluetooth!) My neighbors’ kids came over to play with my child and when he came over to pick them up they were just staring at the wall. When he came up to see what they were doing, his eyes lit up. Now my neighbor is getting an Epson projector too. I like the Epson Home Cinema 2250 and I have already recommended it to a friend.

This is a great projector. The picture is very sharp. We had a outdoor movie night with friends, and it was a hit. Everyone raved about the projector, and the sound. We plan on using it many more times.

Great brightness for outdoor theatre. Had a little issue with the temperature light not allowing the projector to start up. Just had to unplug for a few minutes and plug back in.

It has all the apps you need already built into it. Super easy to connect. The speaker isn't horrible but if you have speakers or a sound bar use it. The clarity of the picture is a good as my tv. Very happy.

I really like this projector. My only major qualm with it was that the volume was too low when watching certain apps such as HBO plus, Hulu, and Vudu. HOWEVER, if you use the built in google assistant and tell it to turn volume to MAX that solves the issue. It turns out there is an internal volume in the system that (to my knowledge) you can only access via the Google Assistant. Other than that it is great. I wish it were a little brighter and it does run pretty hot, but depending on where it is placed that may not be a huge issue for other people. Overall I've been pleased with this purchase.

Simple to setup, virtually plug and play. The Quick Start guide provided goes step by step Crisp projection and clear due to the 3 chip design pushing 2700 lumens at 1080p. Colors are vibrant and image quality loss is minimal as you get larger display image. Internal speaker volume is okay but you may need a soundbar or external speakers if your venue is larger especially if the projector is behind everyone. Stashed away behind a removable cover is an Epson streaming device giving you built in Android TV allowing you to stream from Google Play, Youtube, Netflix and other services. It would be a great solution for larger sized rooms for movies and gaming or outdoor projection for movies during sleep overs or just some nighttime backyard fun. A good WiFi internet connection is needed to take advantage of the built in streaming device otherwise you can cast from a smartphone via Bluetooth. The projector comes with 2 remotes. One is for the projector itself allowing you to make fine tuning adjustments and to also access the integrated entertainment apps. The second is for controlling a streaming device that casts to your projector. The only knock I have is that the fan noise is a bit loud in smaller rooms. If you have a good soundbar or home theater sound system then it could easily drown out the fan noise. Also, even a padded soft carrying case included would help since it's bigger than most projectors and standard hard cases are not big enough. I'm still trying to find something to stow and carry the projector in. To wrap this up I think it is a very versatile projector not only for home but also for business uses. I think it’s a good buy.
