I had previously purchased the Epson 2045, but it had an internal error after only 1 hour of use, so I returned it and thankfully upgraded to this! It is night and day difference. The brightness is fantastic, and the contrast brings out much better detail. With the power level set to normal, the fan doesn't have to kick into high speed, and is at a very tolerable level.
It is bright enough that I don't even use a screen, and instead have it shining on my beige wall.

Was looking for a 1080P projector to replace my 720P business projector that I'd been using for television viewing in my living room. Due to the ambient light during the day, needed at least 2800 lumens. This 3000 lumen projector fit my wallet, as well as the location previously assigned to my old projector. My only regret is I didn't buy this sooner. What a great picture. I've had a great deal of luck with Epson projectors and this one is as good or better than any with which I've had experience in the last 30 years.

This projector is bright, crisp, and very sleek looking. The photos do not do it justice. It is very classy looking and offers an amazing picture. The fans are also very quiet. Great purchase.

We returned a lower priced projector to get this one and are very happy. Great picture. Easy to set up and quiet fan. Sound is good although we plan on adding speakers

The sales associate recommended this to me and said it was almost 4k like. I was skeptical, but currently have it mounted with 104" diagonal size, and the picture is wonderful. You won't be disappointed.

This is top end 1080p entertainment! Blu rays look ridiculous. Tron Legacy at 24p is awesome. The lens shift is the most useful feature I’ve ever had on a projector and cannot fathom ever buying another without it! The images are super crisp, and incredibly bright even with all the windows open and lights on. This is the best 1080p experience that WOWS everyone that comes over on my 120 inch screen. Until 4k becomes reasonably affordable with lens shift etc, you’ll be very happy with this projector for years to come. Even my wife is impressed! The contrast ratio is phenomenal, blacks look black! Especially after some tweaking in settings. Just a fantastic purchase at a sub $1500 price.

I purchased this project to help compensate for poor planning in my theater room. The distance was too large for the screen I had. 110" at 23 feet. A project that is rated for this throw distance and size will generally cost at least 3500 to 5000. I found a back to be able to shrink the screen size to fit my screen. The brightness is great and the picture moves well in all but the most frenetic action scenes. it is a little choppy in large panoramic motion shots, but this is minor to me. Very pleased overall

I bought this as part of my Best Buy Magnolia home theater system installed by Geek Squad. The projector is amazing. When it was installed and the installer was demonstrating how it works it didn't occur to me at the time that the lights were on in the room and it was 4:00 PM because the video was so vibrant, crisp and bright. And this was with loads of ambient light. When he took off the lights, I was blown away by the clarity and brightness. This is a great projector!!!

This projector has an unbelievably clear picture for the price. We have it in a room with lots of windows and light, but the projector has no problem with all the natural light because it is so bright...awesome!

This is my first projector and it exceeded my expectations.
I have this set up in my basement and it is plenty bright even with table and floor lamps on.
Have a 4k TV upstairs and would rather have the 120 inch screen. Don't miss the 4k on most occasions. Just watched the Pats win against KC and having the game on that big of screen made it an amazing viewing experience.
Went with a screen purchased online.

I bought this to replace an older Epson home theater projector. The image is brighter so it can be seen in daylight hours without curtains. It comes on more quickly than the old unit.
I have a ceiling mount with high ceilings so I did use the keystone correction. The picture is sharp and you can see each pixel on the screen if you are close. A terrific unit for the price.

Projector has a beautiful picture and was very easy to set up and get going. My only issue is that the height of the picture on the left side is slightly shorter than the height on the right side. Most people probably wouldn't notice, but I've seen it and can't un-see it, so it's driving me a little crazy. I have adjusted the keystone settings, but they seem to rotate the picture on a vertical/horizontal axis rather than changing the trapezoid effect.

I had my older HC1040 start acting up on me after the storm season so I replaced with this 3700. When I first installed it, I was immediately greeted by great colors and a whole lot of brightness. Brights so bright that light color scenes were actually quite washed out. Brights so bright, I was actually getting a headache watching anything that wasn't darkly lit. Strangely enough, this was with the projector set to cinema and eco mode. There wasn't much room to make it any darker.
Contrast was very good considering and colors do really pop. Unfortunately in the end, my projector kept locking up and losing HDMI sync. This required unplugging everything in the stack from FireTV to receiver to the projector to get a picture again.
I will say for sure: This is a STELLAR projector for watching sports in a lit room. You cannot beat the value for this anywhere that I can see at this time.

We Love This Projector

We did a lot of research before picking a projector and we decided the Epson 3700 was exactly what we were looking for. We built a shelf for it and used a projector distance / screen calculator online to configure the largest screen we could handle for the distance we had to work with. Our room has a lot of ambient light, we have a number of windows and our concern with switching to a projector was that the image would be dull. We looked in Ambient Light Rejecting Screens, but what we found is that most ALR screens greatly reduce the viewing angle and the purpose of our projector was not just for those sitting in theater seats, but also those sitting to the side of the screen. The Epson 3700 is great in natural light and with the lights off. Also, one thing we've really enjoyed about the projector is the ability to maneuver the image. Most projectors don't allow for a lot of movement left or right, up or down, and then zoom. This projector allowed us to move the screen so it fit perfectly onto our screen. We haven't found any faults with this projector and we highly recommend it, especially in rooms with a lot of natural light.

I needed to project documents to a room of over 200 onto a 12 foot screen at the back of a 16 foot deep stage. This did the trick with flying colors! The brightness and contrast was excellent. The throw wasn’t quite right to fill the screen so I had to put it on a stand just in front of the stage but once positioned I was thoroughly pleased with its performance. It would have cost me more money to rent a projector from the venue! Highly recommended.

Great Epson product! 3000 lumens is so much brighter than our previous 1800 lumen projector. The horizontal and vertical adjustment capabilities of this projector is superior to several other projectors. It is capable of conversion between 16/9 and 16/10 screen sizes.

Brightness, contrast, colors and sharpness are excellent and exceed those of other projectors in this price range. The sound quality is average at best. Best if you use with a quality audio system.
