Are you looking to wow your family and friends? Do you want to be 'the place' for movies? This projector is THE ONE! On top of that, awesome support from epson, they replaced it within 2 days when it wouldn't turn on, they think it was a software issue.

hdr 10 , resolution and features , and if you have an oppo 203 active the zoom area and obtain a substitute anamorphic aspect ratio and no black bar , or buy a panamorph lens and is better, this projector is compatible , recommended for people who really like cinematic experience two thumbs up

I spent many months reading reviews and researching on a projector to buy for a home theater. I finally decided on this one, and could not be happier. For the price point and the quality of picture it produces, I don't see any others that would compare.

I HAD A 1080P SONY ES PROJECTOR AND BEEN WANTING 4 K FOR A COUPLE OF YEAR IN A PROJECTOR. I had been saving for a while to get a 4 k Sony. After my Sony died on me so i chose this for a cheaper option. I have not looked back. For the money this is a heck of a BANG for the BUCK!

I was able to get a fourteen foot wide picture at ultra hd quality in my living room at 14 ft away . The 3 D picture is awesome to . I can stream Netflix In HD quality on a Sony blue ray which looks awesome to. Great product great buy. You'll need a audio receiver for sound But you can't beat size and quality you can get from this projector .

Exceptional quality, beautiful picture, makes watching TV enjoyable. Highly recommend spending the money on this quality projector. this is our first projector. We have it in our game room . Also bought Best Buys screen and sound system to go with. Love it!!!

I upgraded from a Sony 1080p projector to the Epson. The Epson gives an amazingly bright and sharp picture. With a 4K source the Epson looks great! The HDR adds great depth and color to the image. I recommend setting the projector to HDR1 when watching UHD sources like 4K blu-rays. Very happy with my purchase.

I had the previous model (5030) which had some technical issues but this latest version is amazing! The brightness/colors/contrast is night and day over the last projector. Highly recommend this model.

This projector has amazing clarity. Altough you must have it on enhanced mode in order to experience the 4K like picture (which can cause quicker wear and tear to the bulb) it's worth having it on enhance mode at all times. A bit pricy but extremely worth it.

After using it every night for almost 4 years, I had no problems with the performance of that projector. The picture is very sharp and clear and the colors are very strong and real.

I gave this 4 out of 5 simply because I wish it was a little brighter. The picture quality (depending on content) looks great. But even in a barely lit room, the brightness is lacking a bit even at full power. Other than that I can't say much bad about it. Very little calibration needed to operate.

After construction of our theater room I decided to purchase this projector bc of the awesome reviews and this performs exactly how I needed it to. Awesome picture and very impressive

I been looking for a projector, finally I was impressed with the epson 5040, the picture clarity, 4k output is great and I love the lens shift. Epson 5040 is a really good projector which you will get everything without spending too much money.

Before I purchased my 5040 epson I did not use my theater room. I had to make totally dark. Now I leave curtains open, it is as sharp as my tv’s.

I can't say how much I love this!!! Anything as good as this or better is going to cost thousands of dollars more. I hope this will last for a long time.

This unit is beyond what I expected. The 4K movies are just as clear if not better than any flat screen tv. Would highly recommend this unit.
