It's not actually 4K, but uses a "trick" rather to emulate it...but it does a great job! On a 120 inch screen, it's better than 1080p, without a doubt, but if you compared it side by side to true 4K, I'm sure you'd tell the difference. But this one is also so versatile, so you don't have to have it perfectly centered, left/right, up/down, forward or backward.

I read some reviews on this projector and so far they have been accurate. I will say it's no "light cannon" meaning a controlled light room is best for that crisp HD experience. Very happy I spent the xtra coin on this, it should future proof me for years to come.
