This is the projector you want if you can afford it. The picture is so crisp it blows my mind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Projector surpass expectation in clarity and brightness. Some changes to setting would be required to get desired results. But overall the product is top of the class.

This is amazing. Waiting on the home theater to finish, I have been using it by the pool, Amazing picture even with a 20’ wide screen. Just need to keep the popcorn out of the pool.

If you’re looking for a projector in this price range, there’s no reason to keep looking. The brightness of this projector is next level. The 4k up scaling looks fantastic. I have it in a dedicated theatre room with no windows, and it looks like I have a 125 inch LED TV in my room.

I originally thought bulb projector will have low quality but went with this because of my cousin’s suggestion. This projector is way better compared to other company laser projectors

The projector's picture quality is nothing short of incredible...but there is a caveat: I've had three previous models, including a 5050UB that failed on me (none of them went longer than 3k hours). It seems that Epson has a power supply problem that they cannot get a grip on. When the projector fails, you have no other choice than to send it back for a refurbished replacement. I highly recommend an extended warranty because it's a roll of the dice each and every time you start the projector up.

Even makes our old videos look great. Stunning BluRay playback, even in ambient light! Had another Epson projector for 11 years before this one. Great brand. Only cosmetic criticism would be that there’s no back cover to hide the black power cord like our old Epson had. Highly recommend.

I've had this for a few months now and I think this projector is amazing! I can't go back to a television for home theater purposes after using this. If you want a projector that does a little bit of everything then this is a great one to buy. It plays games pretty dang good with not much input lag (better than my Samsung), movies are AMAZING and a motorized lens with lens shift and lens memory which makes setting it up headache free. When I was shopping for a projector I thought that this one looked and performed better that most of the projectors I looked at except for native 4k projectors from JVC. If I had to compare this to a JVC, I would say that the JVC is more "TV like" in terms of picture quality and the Epson 5050 is more cinematic. This projector is also very bright and I would argue that this is this brightest lamp based projector. I am projecting this on an 144 inch screen and I can go much bigger if I had more wall to work with.

Put this in a new home theatre in my basement and when all the lights are off the picture is as good as a 4K HD TV. It is even better than I expected. The picture does get washed out with light, but I knew that going in and there are no windows in the room so it is perfect!

Wow! We truly love this projector. It's very quiet and the image is bright and clear. It's the first projector we purchased for our home theater and think we made the right choice after much research.

It's an Epson so you know you're getting a solid product. I have to admit I did try a different brand that is being advertised as the best gaming projector on the market. What mistake this project exceeded my expectations and blew the other one out of the market. This model is 3 years old, but is still better than something that just came out this year.
