Document scans are lower quality for grey areas in a document. Small type requires 1200 DPI which is slow. I tried the default 300 and 600 but neither could handle small fonts. Did not test on photos.

The Epson installer cannot find the scanner, even though it appears in Device Manager. Bought this because we are in a pinch and need to scan docs quickly. Now we are in an even worse situation after wasting time on this piece of poop. And the GLOBAL Epson corporation does not have a 24/7 help line; we can get help during normal business hours tomorrow. Thanks Epson, NOT
